Ashen held on dearly as the wind whipped and hissed in her ears. keeping her eyes closed, bracing against the cold. her whole body was numb, she envied Dreth's ability to endure the cold. she could feel the winds start to slow slightly, she peered only for a moment. "we can walk from here Dretheil. those lights are my house in the trees. you must be tired." still looking at the ground, she could barely see her home though trees. just get inside get your gear on, give drethiel a bed and go find fallen. ashen kept thinking to herself. gods above what a crazy few days. she sighed.
Drethiel landed on his feet with a thump. Almost leaning on Ashen right away "woo! Drethiel you ok? the doors right there, you can stay here for the night an rest but i warn you its warm in there." she helped him get stable when Drethiels eyes froze at the door. Ashen looked at him confused, she looked toward the door curiosy, then her eyes widened. there was a black figure in her door way. "no" she breathed gently, she ran throw the snow. As she was about to reach the door, she saw a path of red that lead to Fallen. "Fallen!" she shouted, when she crouched beside him, her hand gently cupped the side of his face to see if he would conscious. "Fallen, Speak..Please!"

He wasn't sure how long he'd been there for. His conscious was slowly fading in and out as his body grew colder. Time was passing in an unreal swirl as his world swam, his head spinning with dizziness. Suddenly a voice and a hand on his face which was now a pale and unhealthy grey, caused him to stir. It was all he could do to crack his eyes open. At first his vision was blurred but soon enough the image of Ashen came into view. Thank the gods she was here but...how had he not noticed her before now? Were his usually sharp senses so dulled?
"H-he...took me...by surprise..." His voice was quite, nearly a whisper before shuddering a breath. His shoulder was on fire, and any movement of his left arm agony as the arrow was still lodged in the joint. The blood that had been generously running from his side had now slowed to a trickle.

Drethiel managed to land, but found himself listing towards Ashen and soon pressed up against her. After he was straightened up a bit and heading to the door, he found himself looking at the human assassin's killer. Is this Fallen? He doesn't look like he's doing so great himself... Dreth wobbled a little and tried to step forward to get a better look at him, but fell to his knees and lay down in the snow. He sighed weakly, and relaxed into the cold. He vaguely heard what Fallen and Ashen were saying, but kept his focus on regaining his energy.

"Dreth you going to be Alright?" Ashen peered over to Drethiel noticing he was, well relaxing in the snow. "ill get you after i close Fallen's wounds" She brought her attention to Fallen once more. "Fallen, can you walk with my assistance?" he words where soft. he hand still on his cheek, trying to help him keep enough focus. she noticed an arrow sticking out of his Left shoulder, thats going to be a pain to remove she thought to herself. before fallen could answer she managed to open the door, warmth flooding from within almost embracing her cheeks.
she moved her hand from Fallens cheek, and under his right arm. "come on fallen i have medicine inside, use me if you have to...we have to stop your bleeding!" she waited till he tried to move before lifting him, she dared not to risk injuring him more.

Forcing his mind back into lucidity, the drow swallowed heavily. Gritting his teeth, he raised his good arm to grab a hold of her. Not trusting himself to speak in fear that he'd cry out in pain. His body wasn't obeying his commands, his limbs feeling heavy as if they didn't belong to him.
Hissing a breath through his teeth, he forced his body to move, supporting himself heavily on the kinto. Unfortunately, the movement caused his wound to start bleeding again.

"shit!" she cursed, noticing the blood flow pick up. "sorry fallen this is going to hurt a lot, i need to get you inside now!" after getting him up, she turned and slung his good arm over her shoulder. she bend her knee's allowing the drow to fall slightly on her. she garbed his legs and still leaning forward, she raised her body. letting the drow stay on her back. "im sorry, hang on Fallen i know it hurts, ill get you patched up." using her foot she kicked the door open the rest of the way. as she walked in she shouted "Dreth! come in when you have gained some strength ill come get you soon if your not inside."
takeing quick and careful steps she walked down the oak stairs just beyond the fire pit, and harshly turned into the room right at the bottom of the stairs. it was fairly dark, but still enough to see shelfs, and a table in the middle of the room. Ashen walked over to the table that was about hip length and gently set fallen down the best she could. once fallen was set down, she quickly lit four candles in the corners of the room, then ran to the shelf garbing herbs and clean bandages and vials of water.
she set them above Fallen's head on the table, now the tricky part. "fallen? are you still with me" she placed her hand on his good shoulder. "is there any way to get your armor off without moving the arrow, or do i need to pull it out first?" she noticed after her words, her hands and arms where already messed with his blood. this isnt good he is losing what little blood he has left to quickly. she bit her lower lip as she looked at the arrow. this wasnt going to be fun. "i dont have my healing spell, if i did..." she began regrettingeven hurting Drethiel. if she hadn't of been scared, she would still have her healing, she could just take the arrow out and heal all his wounds but until tomorrows night, she couldn't us it again....and that would be to late.

Any embarresment that he may have felt at being carried was over ridden by the pain that was cutting through his entire back. He focused on breathing, each breath hissed through his clenched teeth. When she set him down in the room, he curled slightly on the table like an animal in pain, gloved hand pressing against him side.
At her words he spoke, quickly and gasping "No, p-pull it out. Break it...if you h-have to." His armor laced down one side, pulling over his head. There was no way to remove it without first removing the arrow.
A thought suddenly occurred to him despite his fading and pain addled minded. He knew it was irrelevant and ridiculous, but it clung there. She was going to remove his armor. That meant she was going to his his skin. No ones seen his skin. He knew he didn't have the time to be bothered by it but it still made him nervous.
"D-do it." He was running out of him, he could feel himself fading.

Ashen moved behind him as he lay on the table her left hand holding his injured shoulder, right hand held the arrow."im sorry fallen, on 3...1" she tightened her grip on his shoulder and on the arrow "2..." she readied herself "3!" she began to pull the arrow, it slowly moved out, very slowly. she knew this must be hell for him. please gods, demons, what have you at this point let the tip still be on this arrow when its removed and finish this quickly!
after what seemed like an eternity, her arm suddenly moved. the arrow was freed. carefully she took it out of his armor. Thank the divines! the tip was still on the arrow, looks like fallen's luck wasn't completely gone. setting the arrow in front of him, she began to look for how to remove his armor. she untied his cloak and removed his cowl. finally finding a way to remove his armor, she began to remove it. knowing full well he was running out of time, she removed it quickly. even his arms where stripped of armor.
slowly she moved his shirt up, his wound looked awful. there wasnt time to waste on removing it normally, she garbed his dagger and sliced down the fabric of his shirt. being careful no to cut him. moving the fabric, she snatched the vials of purified water and began to clean this wound with a clean cloth that lay near by.

As she counted, he clenched his hands into fists. But no preperation could have readied him for the pain. She went agonizingly slow, and despite his resolve he found himself crying out in pain. But as it pulled free the agony dissipated and he took a deep shuddering breath.
Brows pulled together in pain, he allowed her to remove his armor. Pressing his forehead into the table, he squeezed his eyes shut. The wood was warm and comforting and he was so cold and tired. He knew that he had lost to much blood, that he shouldn't allow himself to sleep, but... No. He swallowed, forcing his eyes open and focusing on taking deep breaths.
If it had been any other circumstance, the fact that she was seeing him without his armor on would have made him sick. But now, he was to far gone to care. He was slim, lean, but muscled. The dark skin across his back was marred by twenty long and wicked scars, left there by the cruel bite of a whip.

As Ashen cleaned his wound on his side, she quickly grab some of the medical herbs and began to chew them. they where bitter as could be and leaving a taste in her mouth that would make anyone gag. as she chew she continue to clean, moving to his shoulder she noticed, all the scars. lightly she ran her finger along one of the many there, he wasn't joking about all the things he had to go though. the things he had to go though,..focus now is not the time. she finished cleaning the wound on his shoulder. she removed the now herbal paste from her mouth and with the other hand she grabbed the bandages beside Fallens head. "Fallen this Herbs will sting like Hell at first, but it will take the pain away and help you heal least until i can find a healer or heal you myself. Please hang on."
She pressed the chewed herbs on the outside of his wound, and in the on one on his side. before she could wrap them, he needed to sit up. oh joy....he is going to HATE me after this. she hooked her arm under his shoulders on the right side and lifted him up. letting him lean on her, and keeping his head up with chin, she wrapped his shoulder and somehow managed to wrap his side as well. "How are you feeling now?" checking to make sure the herbs had started to work, they acted faster to those not use to them.
She layed him down gently again, removing her cloak which was now to warm for indoors and covering him with it. after tucking his cloak under his head for comfort she turned around back to the shelf. with blood stained hands she started taking more herbs off the shelf and vials. she took out her medicine bowl and began to make a tonic, hands shacking. how that he was bandaged her mind began to race. was that dead man they found apart of his old group? if so, she wasnt going to let him leave just yet besides that he was hurt. "fallen are you still with me?" her voice was shaky from the adrenaline. she didnt look back when she spoke she needed to finish the tonic, it healed all types of common poisons and revealed pain and sickness.

After she bandaged his wounds he felt the darkness pull at him again. Both his body and mind were exhausted and now that the pain had dissipated slightly and he was warm, the fatigue got even worse. "I'm...so tired..." If he just shut his eyes for a moment....and he allowed himself to. The darkness was so welcoming and familiar, pulling him away from the physical world. It was the most comfortable he'd been in ages. He could have described it like coming home....if he knew what having a home felt like.
He couldn't feel the pain anymore, his mind had disconnected from his body. It wasn't long before he slipped completely unconscious.

Drethiel buried his face in the snow and muttered a reply to Ashen, who was taking the wounded assassin into the building. A rush of warmth reached out to him until the door closed, and he shuddered. Once I'm able to regulate my body temperature, I'll venture in to follow them. Right now, I'm not sure I want to be wandering into that kind of heat. He decided to inch his way through the snow to the door, to try to condition himself to the difference in temperature. When he came to the area that was soaked in Fallen's blood, he stopped. Dreth wondered if he had been hunting the man down, or if it were the opposite situation. Either way, it was a messy fight - and though Fallen won, it probably wasn't by much.
Dreth raised his hand above the blood-covered snow, and lifted it lightly. It might be a good idea to get rid of this... I assume Ashen nor Fallen would want curious visitors at this point. Forming it into a red snowball, he froze it over so it would stay intact. He pulled himself up to his feet, and entered the building, keeping his wings tucked inward. He listened carefully, and found that they had made their way to the basement. Gripping the ice ball, he descended lightly down the stairs, following the slight trail of blood and doing his best not to step in it. Entering the room Ashen and Fallen were in, he saw that the assassin was bandaged up, but out cold, and Ashen was busying herself with medicinal matters. Though there were candles lit, it was colder downstairs and it made Drethiel feel more at ease.
"Ashen. What might you want to do with this?" He questioned, tossing the bloody ice ball lightly into the air and catching it with his hand. "Situation-wise, if Fallen was the initial target, the assassin may not have come alone. It's better if he cannot be traced, yes?" He smiled up at her. "I imagine that man's comrades would be quite upset upon finding his body." He strolled over to the table, and looked over Fallen. His skin was black as starless night, though his face had a bit of a sickly grey to it at the moment. But what caught Dreth's attention the most was his snow white hair. Reaching down to touch it, he found it was fairly smooth, though tousled from the recent scuffle in the woods. "It's beautiful..." He murmured. "...I must admit, I am jealous." He retracted his hand, and twirled a lock of his own jet black hair in his fingers, inwardly cursing his appearance. "So, what do you reckon, Ashen? Will he be alright?" He asked her, still looking down at Fallen. Talking to him would be interesting.
From afar, the angel and drow looked like polar opposites.

"umm, i dont know. the fire maybe? somewhere i dont know, thank you i was going to removed what i could later. as for Fallen.." her voice was shaky, scared even. she stopped to bring the tonic to Fallen. sitting him up and leaning him on her again. "i don't know im doing the best i can. i cant heal him until tomorrow night and most of the other people here hate me or don't even talk to me. so why would they help?" it wasnt a lie even though she helped people. she wasnt much liked and she didnt like much people. the only other healer she knew who would help without hesitation was "trick-knee" but he wasnt in an condition to be moving around and was all the way back in wildgard. Allynn was there to help encase it go really bad, luxley wouldn't know the healing spell yet. and everyone else didnt know the first thing about frist aid.
she tried to down the tonic slowly down Fallens throat without making me cough. even with shaky hands she managed. "it looks like the bandages and herbs are doing the trick i don't see blood on other side of them yet." She set the bowl beside the arrow and unused supplies. still supporting fallen she held her hand near his nose, he was still breathing but it was shallow. she could feel the cold emanating from his cheeks.
"i need to get him somewhere warm. His skin seem freezing! but if i move him his wounds may open agian and that could be his undoing. he is barely here as it is!" her hands where caked in blood, her arm as well, even her cheek and hair had some of Fallen's blood on it. still holding him, she looked around, there where rooms down in the basement but it was to cold for fallen. and they couldn't move the her medical room up until summer. "should i risk taking him upstairs? ill go in beast form to keep him still if i have to, but im going to need help agian...unless you can think of something drethiel...i cant seem to think straight." she wrapped her cloak a little tighter around Fallen. in an attempt to keep him warm.

Fire... Drethiel clenched his teeth at the word. But Ashen was right - there really weren't many options at hand. Fallen would need warmth, yet it would be unwise to move him much, lest his wounds re-open. As much as he hesitated to expose himself to such intense heat, he decided fire was the answer. He grimaced at the thought, but put his hand on Ashen's face, hoping the cold would bring her back to reality.
"Go clean yourself up. If you rid yourself of his blood, perhaps you'll be able to focus on the task at hand. I may be cold, but I will handle him. Once I have him settled, I will keep enough distance so he won't feel a draft." He spoke encouraging words, but his eyes dreaded the actions he suggested. Removing his hand from her face, he made his way to the fireplace, and lay his cloak down in front of it. He reluctantly knelt down and began to start the fire. He hissed at the initial flame, and jumped back once it was lit. The fire slowly spread, and Dreth pressed his hands against the ice ball to cool them down. Once the flames were high and plenty, Dreth broke apart the bloody ice and scattered it around the outer edge of the fireplace.
Drethiel walked over to Fallen, eager to escape the warmth for a moment. Wrapping his arms gently around the drow, he was comforted by the sickly chill coming off of him. Picking him up carefully as to not disturb the bandages, he brought him over to the fire and lay him down in front of it. As Dreth finished, he began to feel feverish from the flame, so he moved back to dull the warmth. Fallen was successfully placed by the fire, and if there was any more blood on his bandages it was minimal.
Please wake up and heal quickly. I may have a job for you, assassin.

Ashen eyes widened as dretheil touched her cheek, what was with this guy? One minute she could read him, next he is comforting her? Then another she would question his motives???Was this really how fallen felt a few days ago?
Still dretheil had a point, all she could smell and think of was the blood. And that's something that you shouldn't be focusing on when trying to save someone. She needed to calm down, wash up and change her cloths. Maybe even clean up everything else. Did the house maid have her ear muffs on or something? How was she not awake yet?
As she thought to herself, she could feel warmth , looking past the doorway she noticed dreth made a fire, but he hated warm...when drethiel can back and fetched fallen, she watched carefully making sure his wounded didn't open. Checking from a distance she noticed minimum blood on them, thank the gods she thought to herself.
She looked by the water way located near the medical room, which had been boarded up and covered in furs. "Hmm" she hummed out loud, walking over to the fur cover barricade. Even though she was tired she managed to pry it open, revealing a small frozen waterfall and pond. this was the reason the medical room was down stair they had fresh water pouring straight into a controlled area of there home, but seeing how it was winter it was more of a hinderance when trying to keep the children and now injuryed allies warm. "Here drethiel your only a few feet away from fallen and this area will remain cold. I'm going to get changed and Bring down some blankets for Fallen." She didn't wait for drethiel to go to the iced area and started walking up stairs.
You can wash down there she though to herself. Just get blankets and get changed. She stared heading up the stairs, I wonder if drethiel likes warm food?....
