Ashen couldn't wipe the smile from her face.
Allynn was finally back, she tryed so many times to bring her back and now here she was, enjoying the warmth of the bonfire. Allynn was still wrapped in Ashen's purple cloak holding onto a cup of warm broth and sipping it slowly.
Ashen herself was wrapped in furs, sipping on her own broth enjoying the silent company of her sister once more.
Synaria is going to have a fit when she sees Allynn. Ashen thought to herself as she giggled. picking up a log, she tossed it into the hungry fire. the flames crackling with glee as the flame licked at the log. Ashen sighed with content. she didn't feel all alone anymore, mind you she never was. not sense Fallen still came by once and a while, as well as Dreth. still the stone walls of Silver Scale where lonely at times. well not anymore at least.
Ashen looked over at Allynn, the light of the fire gently embracing her features. "are you comfortable?" Ashen questioned. She wanted Allynn to feel like she was home. Ashen didnt slave over stone stabs and pickaxes for nothing after all.

Allynn looked at the fire, it was weird being able to see again. although there had been no sense of time in the darkness she knew that time was passing around her. she could feel the warmth around her, see the flames of the fire flicker around.
turning her head she looked at ashen and smiled, she was glad to be back. now she could help her scale sister. the hollowness of Ashen's face scared her. she could feel her ribs when she hugged her. it worried her that she hadn't been eating when there hasn't been any other members to feed. She would fix this.
"this place is nice, and warm, and cozy. i could get used to this"

"thank the gods" ashen said with a sigh of relief, she glanced down at her mug watching the broth swirl around. "do you think the others will like it?" Ashen didnt mean to sound so insure. she was worried about disappointing her new family. it had been so long sense she had had such a thing. however she wouldn't change it for the world.

Allynn smiled sweetly. "of course they'll love it. why in the hells wouldn't they?" she took a sip of her drink. she needed to figure out a way to gather some food, do some trading in the town. anything.

"im glad" Ashen smiled weakly. she looked at the furs she was using to keep warm. "we at least have alot of good furs, but i will go hunting soon. im still feeling...rather weak. i hate to admit it but i actually feel slightly ill. i cant seem to get this chill out of my skin." she wrapped herself tighter in the furs. still looking at the flame. "but enough about that, how do you feel?" Ashen's gaze now on Allynn once more.

Allynn without thinking got up and moved beside Ashen, pulling her against her shoulder and wrapping a part of the cloak around her. "of course you feel ill, you have barely eaten, your cheeks are hollow, you need rest, and food. do not worry about me, i do feel some stiffness still but that will go away in time. YOU are more important"

"no i am not, a leader is only as strong as her people and i have to remain strong for you and the others when they return but..." Ashen rested her head on Allynn's shoulder "some rest, would be lovely." Ashen enjoyed the warmth of the fire and the warmth of her sister. "i hope the stiffness leaves you soon." Ashen could feel a purr creep up from her throat. she honestly couldnt blame herself she was very happy. she tended to do that in company of souls she trusted. She has only ever purred infront of three people to this day. "can i get you anything? some furs? more broth? i still have to show you around."

Allynn smiled at her scale sister "i will be fine Ashen, sleep." she shifted slightly and rested Ashen's head on her lap, listening to her purr and petting her hair, pulling out the odd feather that came loose.

As Ashen could feel her head being petted, her eyes closed and her purring became louder. she couldn't help herself but get comfy. it had been so long sense she had the company of another. she felt safe. she felt Allynn pick out the odd feather. "im molting arnt i?" she groaned, eyes still closed.

Allynn smiled. "maybe. sleep now little kitten, you are safe here" Using her other hand Allynn twirled one of the lavender feathers that she had pulled from Ashen's hair around, faint silver tips sparkled in the firelight and mesmerized her.

Ashen could feel her head grow very heavy. maybe..for a moment...it would be ok to sleep for a little while. ashen smirked at the 'Kitten' nickname. "you are still the only one i let call me that." she muttered in a half sleep. as she continued to purr she allowed herself to rest upon Allynn's lap. curled up in furs resting her sore and heavy eyes. it had been months sense she felt truly safe.

Trudging through the slowly melting snow, a lone assassin approached the door of the silver scale. His cowled head down to shade his sensitive red eyes from the blazing fire of the setting sun, the drow raised a gloved hand to knock on the door. He knew he probably should have swung by earlier in the week but the little hunting trip he'd decided to take ate up more days that he had thought.
For the past couple days the assassin had been prowling the outer reaches of the forest before finally taking down a buck. It was that success that had brought him pretty much straight to Ashen's door. He had only stopped briefly at his camp to drop off what he considered as his share of the meat and hadn't even taken the time to leave his bow or heavy cloak behind. The drow knew how badly the kinto needed food and her difficulties hunting as of late. This was the least he could do to make good on the debt he owed her.
Pulling down his cowl in the shelter of the doorway he shook out his stark white hair and waiting for his friend to answer. If she didn't he would just leave the meat as a gift and head back to camp. It would be ok in the still very cool temperatures of night.

Allynn very carefully lifted Ashen's head while she moved away after hearing the knocking at the door. placing her head down with the purple cloak as a pillow Allynn walked towards the door. making as little noise as possible so she didn't wake her scale sister.
she opened the door a crack and peered through it, her ears searching for the sound of weapons. she saw black clothing, and white hair. was this the man that Ashen had told her of? the one that she must not speak of?
she opened the door a bit more, somewhat nervous. this was a new feeling, she was not fond of it. she stepped back behind the door, hoping that he wouldn't notice her right away and would see Ashen sleeping instead. she prayed that was the case. she didn't know what to do, and that lack of knowledge was beginning to cause her some fear.

Looking out into the forest casually as he waited, the drow thought nothing of it as he turned his gaze back when the door opened. At the unfamiliar person staring up at him from the cracked door the assassins red eyes widened in absolute shock. But that emotion only stuck around for a moment. In a flash he had taken 5 steps back, his right hand resting on one of the daggers sheathed at the small of his back. It was only then that he realized his cowl was down. Cursing inwardly as his foolishness his features adopted the blank mask he often wore. "Who are you. Where's Ashen?" Keeping his tone emotionless, he eyed down the small woman now hiding behind the now open door. It had never occurred to him in a thousand years that someone else would be here, unless of course it was that damned angel. But that creature had already seen him as compromised as possible so it barely mattered.
His gaze then flickered over to the form of his friend laying on the floor within. Was she dead!? Panic flickered within him causing him to drop what he was holding and draw both daggers in a movement as quick as lightning.

Allynn heard him unsheathe his weapons and winced, her glaive was on the other side of the room she held her hands slightly above her head and walked out slowly from behind the door. "Ashen is on the floor as you see, sleeping, for the first time in months i am sure. please don't attack, i mean you no harm, you are an honourary member of the silver scale i believe, a good friend of Ashen's. my name is Allynn, i am her Scale sister, blood sworn member of the silver scale. please for the love of everything do not wake her up."
she made sure she was out of the mans way but that she could still be seen and sat down on the ground. "feel free to come in. i have no weapons on me and my glaive is on the other side of the room."
