The drow narrowed his eyes slighting, his vision becoming keener as the sun quickly lowered behind the treeline. She was right. The kinto was only asleep. Nearly faltering in relief, the assassin re-sheathed his weapons but did not entirely let down his guard.
A good friend of Ashens? Had she mentioned this woman before? He honestly couldn't remember. So many foreign interaction and emotions had been jumbling his usually so quiet mind. He sometimes found himself missing the linear and single mindedness of his days previous to any friendship. Those days were lonely, but easy. Already he had unwittingly revealed himself to someone he didn't know. Trust brought on carelessness it seemed.
Without a word, the drow picked up the package he dropped and slowly stepped inside past the short woman. Peeking around to make sure everything was what it seemed he quietly made his way to the kitchen. His steps were so light the only sound he made upon entering was the slight swish of his cloak against the door frame.

after the man walked past her Allynn stood quietly and closed the door gently. she sat once again next to it. knowing that he did not trust her, at all. she was still iffy on trusting him as it was. assassins often made her blood run cold. they could kill her in an instant without a second thought but the reactions of this one told her that he considered ashen a friend, and so she must as well.
she thought for a moment of waking ashen, but her friend was sick and needed to rest badly. pulling her knees to her chest she rested her forehead on her knees trying to come up with a solution to this mess.

Depositing the package in the kitchen for Ashen to deal with later, he drew his cloak around him as to conceal most of his lean body. Not bothering to pull up his cowl once more, he ghosted back to the door where the woman had stayed. Leaning against the wall in the shadows of the fire lit room he eyed her. Allyn, hm? By her reaction it seemed that she was expecting him. And that meant that Ashen had told her about him. But did that mean that the kinto had broken his trust or trusted this woman enough to divulge the secret of his existence. How much did she tell her about him though? "You know who I am." His voice came out low, not quite a whisper but soft. His words were more of a statement than a question.

"i know of you, that there was someone else who was staying here with her. that is all." Allynn replied after lifting her head up from her knees to look at the man. the chain that held her soul jingling slightly as her neck shifted. "i do not know if Ashen has spoken to you of me though, i have been ...gone... for nearly a full season."
she sighed, the two black cat ears that rested on her head drooped slightly. Allynn was unsure of her emotions, they seemed to be changing at a rapid pace and it was exhausting keeping up.

The drow's white brows came together as he regarded her. That was a relief, the less anyone knew the better. "If she did I do not remember." His voice was again quiet and without much emotion. Oh how easily the assassin took over.
Gone, hm? Did that ring a bell? Damn, a lot of the conversation he had shared with Ashen was eluding him and it was infuriating. "As for staying here, I am not. I did only briefly." He didn't feel comfortable talking to her. Was it because he didn't know her? It made him truely wonder how he had even managed to become friends with the sleeping kinto in the first place.
"I do know she's been unwell. I left the result of a hunt in the kitchen for her. She is to stubborn for her own good." She was nearly as stubborn as him. He could recall how difficult it was for her to accept the rabbits he'd offered back when they'd met. Or his paying in the tavern.

Allynn started to giggle, starting as a snicker, and grew into nearly a full laugh. after a moment she wiped tears from her eyes and looked at the man Ashen had deemed her friend. "she truly is stubborn isn't she?" she wiped away another tear and giggled a bit more. "you truly do know her well if you can say that."
she stood and stretched, the bones in her back cracking as she leaned backwards, now feeling completely at ease with the man in the room. assassin or not, if ashen trusted him and he knew her well enough to call that kitten stubborn she was fine with him.
"you brought food? good, last she told me she hadn't eaten in a few moons." she pouted at the moment though, "though this was after she gave me the food she had with her. that woman needs to stop giving things away when she needs them more."

The assassins frowned behind his scarf in confusion at her reaction. One moment she had been stand offish and untrusting and the next open and at ease? He couldn't fathom trusting anyone that quickly. Even if it was the friend of a friend.
Still making no move to remove his cloak or come out of the shadows, the drow once again spoke quietly. "Indeed." If he had to continue hunting for her even against her wishes than so be it. This was only the second person he cared about and by all the gods he wasn't going to let this one die. Not for any reason.

In her sleep Ashen felt very uncomfortable. she could hear words but couldn't understand what was being said. she knew Allynn now wasn't alone. she had to wake up. her stomach was upside down, and she was unbearably hot and cold all at once. she could help but let a slight moan escape her lips to the discomfort. she was willing herself to walk up, but her body just wouldn't respond. she could feel sweat moving slightly down her her forehead. she screamed at herself to open her eyes and wake up, to move something! anything! all she could seem to focus on was how warm she was.

Allynn's head snapped up when she heard a noise coming from ashen, she quickly bolted over to ashen, nearly skidding into the fire as she stopped and checked on her friend.
there was sweat beading on Ashen's forehead. placing her hand on her scale sisters cheek she realized how warm her friend had become. frantically she pulled the fur blanket off of Ashen and desperately looked around for a cloth to use to cool her down.
"oh no, oh no, oh no oh no no no no no." she was panicking starting to run around the room, tearing open drawers and cupboards looking for a bowl and a cloth. she found nothing. "blast it! i don't know where anything is!" she could no longer focus on anything, her mind was running faster then a galloping horse, the man forgotten in her panic. "this is what happens when i am dead for a season, everything changes and i can't fix anything, damned luxley, and damn that evil bastard Zu!"
Allynn fell to her knees and began to cry. the only family she had left was sick, and she could do nothing to help.

At the little womans sudden burst of movement the drow also jumped to action. Briskly sweeping across the room he barely made it to his friend before Allyn was in a frenzy ripping drawers out of their sockets. Dropping down to one knee beside her, he pulled off his leather gloves and laid his hand against her forehead. Not only was his skin ebony against her pale but cool as well. Tuning out the frantic little kinto behind him, his mind started running lightning fast options through his head. He had never been talented in healing nor had he really had to take care of anyone but himself. But there was one thing he did know.
Quickly, he unslung his bow and his cloak setting them both on the floor beside him to reveal his lean and armored frame. Next, he pulled off an discarded his scarf on the pile all the while wracking his brain for the incant.
Ignoring Allyn who had just fell to her knees behind him, he leaned forward, laying his cool hand against her forehead. He spoke next in drow, the only language he knew the spell in. In the common tongue it would be something like 'I sooth thy aiments' but unfortunately there was no direct translation.
Upon finishing the spell he kept his hand on her forehead, peering down at her with concern in his ruby eyes. "Ashen." He spoke firmly, hoping that she would wake and that his spell did anything at all for her. "Ashen."

Her eyes opened slightly, she still felt unbearable hot. however she didnt feel trapped in her mind, and her shivers stopped. as she tried to keep her eyes open, her vision began to clear from its blurry haze. she could see ruby eyes staring down at her. she slightly smiled.
"hello...when did... you get here...Fallen?" her words where weak, almost as if she was whispering. She looked around slightly without moving her head, seeing the lite fire, the way he was looming over her. "Fallen...am i dreaming? do me a favor....dont wake me if i am." she still fought to keep her eyes open while speaking weakly.
She could feel the coolness of his hand on her forehead, causing her to purr slightly, it was a quite purr but a purr none the less. She was happy fallen was here, but wait where did allynn go? She pondered still purring trying to regain some strength that was coming back slowly.

"Noo, you're not dreaming." He spoke to her softly yet sternly. "What I need you to do is stay awake just for now." His expression was one of concern and unease. He didn't know how to help her.
"You're not well so you need to let us take care of you." For the first time, he broke eye contact with Ashen and turned his keen gaze and youthful face towards the kinto. "Allyn." the name was foreign on his tongue as he tried to get her attention before turning back to his friend.
"She can help you but she doesn't know where you keep any supplies."

"Sleep is so inviting, but I will try to stay awake." She spook a little more strongly now focusing on staying awake. However her eyes widened slightly when he wish to take care of her. This snapped her back to reality.
"No no! it's ok I can take care of myself! I have all season. I got some rest, I still have to hunt Today, and gather, and the animals need tending and so much more. I really have no time to be Ill. I'm ok really please I don't want to be a burden..." She exclaimed nervously. "Besides" ashen began to try and get up "this Curse makes me ill...I just ran out if the herbs I have needed to take daily, I need to go gather some, they are kept down stairs in the infermer-" her words where cut short from the pain In her shoulder she let a hiss and a low intimating growl past her teeth as she fell back down.
She knew why she didn't feel well. The cursed wound that she has had sense the snows fall had yet healed, she skin around it even turned black. And it was constantly infected. She knew it was the cause of her lack of abilities lately and she prayed Fallen and Allynn wouldnt notice. She hated burdening people. She was the one to take care of others, never needing others to do the same to her. Her shoulder felt like fire, making her wince. It was acting up worse then normal which was never good. Her right arm was nearly numb because of it.
Ashen looked up at fallen as she lay still again. The look of concern on his face worried her, she had already begun to burden him she thought to herself. She hated the feeling within her, she couldn't tell if she was feeling ill from the sickness or seeing his face worried and not happy, or at least his normal scowl.
Ashen gripped her wounded shoulder as she looked away to avoid his gaze. "I'm ok, really I just need a bit more rest and I'll be right as..as...something" she tried to ignore the sweat on her brow and the pain in her body that plagued her every day. As ashen looked away she noticed Allynn wasn't there. Her eyes widened, she had warned allynn of a new friend but she had yet the chance to warn fallen.
"Where is allynn?!" She forced her voice louder as she now was filled with concern. Did fallen , maybe...kill her? He was jumpy when it came to new people, and how she was...he may have...oh gods above... She began to panic, Her heart was racing at this point, she looked at fallen agian. "Fallen, where is allynn?"

Allynn stopped crying when she heard ashen speaking, but yet she held still, wanting to hear what her friend was saying.
a small ball of rage was building inside of her as she heard ashen denying the help of her friend. this would not do.
when ashen began to ask about her she stood, for the moment holding onto her emotions.
"i am here Ashen," her voice was deadly calm, she was doing her best to hold her rage at bay, yelling at her scale sister would do no good right now, but that damned half-kinto woman had better start letting other people help her.
"tell me what you need ashen and i will get it for you, you just need to tell me where it is." she was kneeling beside ashen now staring at her face, watching the pain cross her face, keeping her emotions in check.
She glanced at the white haired man. "do you know where anything would be in this place?"

The assassin's frown deepened at her words. It was frustrating meeting someone as stubborn as him. "Even I was smart enough to know when I needed help." he deadpanned, meeting her eyes with his piercing gaze. "Allyn's here. Let her help you."
Now that Allyn was kneeling beside him, the drow stood and backed away. He still wasn't used to people...or proximity. Not to mention he didn't want to jab the short kinto in the side with his sheathed dagger accidentally.
Turning his face away when she glanced at him he answered. "I don't know this place. I've been here only briefly." And even when he HAD witnessed Ashen rushing around to get healing ingredients, he was to far gone out of his mind to really pay attention. The pain that crossed Ashen's face hadn't escaped him, his senses were to sharp for that. But what was escaping him was any knowledge on what to do. He didn't know how to heal, or save lives. He didn't know how to help anyone but himself.
