She nodded her head and took and deep breathe. Feeling the metal against her skin she shivered, she hated it. She closed her eyes, waiting for the pain. She was doing this, no turning back.

Raising her hand, palm up and open, the warlord started reading from the book. The language she spoke was more foreign then anything from the human plane. Full of hisses and clicks, the words were guttural and demonic.
With a flare of light, the flickering tendrils of power shot upwards, curling around the human, bending and twisting. This went on for a couple minutes, before the pentagram on the floor started glowing red along with the warlords hand.
There was a moment of calm before a roar was heard, slowly building before power blasted from the grate in a flash of light and wind. Swirling around the room with a roar of color and fury, the warlord had to raise her voice to be heard.
The warlord grimaced, fighting to keep her hand raised. It was like standing in a hurricane of raw power. Her hair whipped around furiously, catching in her horns. It was painful for the scout, yes, but it was no easy task for her either. There was only so much power her body could withstand and the longer she stood in the maelstrom the more her soul tried to absorb. After completing the spell on Halizar it had taken her hours to recover, despite the healing factors of being near the well.

Starfire felt the rush if energy, its started out warm but got hotter. Her hands gripped the chains as she pulled on them with all her strength as she felt like she was being stabbed, not once but over a thousand times all at once. She screamed at the pain as she pulled tighter on the chains. The metal began digging into her skin as she continued to pull harder, blood began to trickle down her wrist from pulling. The wind was strong and all thoughts disappeared. She regretted this immediately after feeling the pain.

The warlord Kept the spell going, the power serge in the room so bright with color it was almost blinding. This went on for another fifteen excruciatingly long minutes. The hand held out that kept the spell going was burning but still she kept going. Des wasn't the only one in pain, she could hear the girl scream over the roar of power.
The scouts body was surely physically changing at this point, and even through she couldn't see through the maelstrom on power, she could sense it. She was no longer the only demonic presence in the room.
Almost....almost done.....She felt blood trickle from her nose. Her body couldn't take much more of this. She was strong....powerful....but not strong enough to have the planes power stream course through her body for this long. Eyes blurring she flipped to the next page in the book, the last page of the spell....
Screaming out the last words of the spell, the power surged outwards in a manner that almost felt like a magic blast from an attack. But after that final flare of power it diminished, drawing back into the grate in silent wispy tendrils leaving the room as dim as before.
With a tiny breath, the warlord stumbled backwards, collapsing against the stone cut bench as the book dropped from her hands. Blood flowed freely from her nose, dripping down her chin and neck. It wouldn't take her long to recover in this room, ten minutes, tops...but for now she needed rest... Her eyes blurred for a moment as she tried to catch a glimpse of the girl but before she did her head dropped to her chest and she passed out.

After the feeling of being stabbed over a thousand times all the bones in her body felt like they were breaking. The feeling was strong her scream got louder closer to the end, but it didnt last long. A huge wave of energy hit her and she fell to her knees. Her eyes closed she opened them and her eyes shown a venom green. She stared at the Warlord, pulling on the chains she wanted to be free. Still bound to the chains made her feel weak, but she was. Her body ached, her arms fell limp giving up on the tugging, she didn't notice anything different other then the fact that she felt wings. She wasn't one hundred percent sure but she knew something was there.

Des awoke after several minutes, slightly groggy and head stil lbuzzing. Standing, she wiped the blood from her nose with the back on her arm before setting glowing eyes on the scout. "I didn't think blue was your color." She spoke aloud, referring to the deep blue of the scouts inner wings.
Carefully, she unfastened the shackles letting them fall freely to jangle against the stone pillars. "You're probably feel a little unbalanced when you walk. Since you have a lot of extra weight on your back now. Take it slow. I don't want you hurdling into the roof like someone else I know."
Stepping back she took a seat on the stone bench, rubbing her temple. That was harder then last time...maybe she was still weak from her time spent within the white barrier....or maybe that much power was just something she couldn't withstand. Her hand felt stiff and slightly painful.
She glanced over to the other pair of glowing eyes in the darkness. "That power rush you feel right now, don't take it for granted. Once you leave this room you'll feel a lot weaker. That's what a well does."

She stayed on her knees listening, she nodded her head. "I don't think i'm ready to stand yet." She said. "But, I'll try." She put a foot down and tried to push herself up but tummbled backwards then forwards. She placed a hand on one of the colums. Taking a deep breathe she leaned against the colum as she stood up. "Difficult." Her head was pounding and her throat hurt. She glanced at Ded noticing the blood that was on her neck. "I'll get used to it..." She whispered to herself.

"That soreness won't last long. The power from the well will repair your body shorty." It was already helping her. Her head was clearing, the pain in her hand fading quickly.
Crossing her arms, she watched the girl with narrowed eyes. "Feel any different?" This wasn't like the time with Halizar. The elf had been on his feet, laughing maniacally before nearly busting through the ceiling within the first couple minutes. This was....solemn.....And rather pathetic. She supposed that if the human was that way then the demon would be as well.
The scout seemed to have no pain tolerance at all. "When you...finally gain your footing...Your power should have grown. While on this plane you'll have abilities you've never had before. You'll be faster."

She finally stood taking a deep breathe. "Faster?" She took a step towards Des. "What did you mean when you said i'd be stronger then Other demons?" She questioned curiously.

"I meant generally half demons are powerful. For example, Halizar is now more powerful then me. You're more powerful then lesser demons, that's for sure." She crossed her arms, raising a brow. "Move your wings or they'll get stiff. It's like having a second set of arms. Just don't do it fast or you'll be in the air."
From the looks of it, the scouts wing span was larger then what her own used to be and tipped with bone white claws.

Slowly but surely her wings moved. It felt weird. She didn't know exactly what to do. She turned her head to the side as her left wing was streached out. She looked at her wing and a smirk crossed her lips. "What exactly is a lesser Demon. Just a reminder but I have lots to learn still."

"Lesser demons have little to no magic or innate abilities. They usually have smaller horns and pointed ears. Greater demons, like you and I have larger horns and non-pointed ears." She motioned to the scouts horns, bone white and sweeping back over her hair.
"Any other questions?" She was getting bored of the scouts lack of excitement or appreciation.

She smiled. Reaching up she touched one of her horns. "This is amazing! But wait, theres a new Demon guy at Wildgard... He has tiny horns.. Is he a lesser?" She questioned as she got tired of standing so she sat down to nervous to try flying.

"I said usually. He's no lesser. No lesser demon would dare speak to me the way he does, no...." She didn't really know who he was, one of Halizars men... Standing, the warlord stretched her wing before folding it once more.
"Speaking of Wildgard...we really should be getting back. It's not safe for you here." She may no longer be a human....but that didn't change the fact that she was female. Destael made a point to treat females differently, to free them from slavery and give them a chance to fight. But if Starfire came face to face with a male she wouldn't be able to hold her own, never mind demand respect. That wasn't a situation she wanted to deal with.

Star boddd her head. "Wait, channel?" She said before she continued to move her wings, she tried to control them and so far was doing a good job. It was interesting horns, wings, powers, it felt awesome. She loved it, for now. She didn't know how people in Wildgard would react. She shouldn't care about that anyways. "Oh, thought of something, when you step in the white temple, or have the heal spell used on you, it cause's you pain, what about me?"
