This persons attitude irritated her. Even the men who stalked her didn't stare that intently or for so long. She was hiding something and it was making her irritable.
"I likely won't be dancing anymore tonight." She said flatly, turning away and getting anther glass of wine Rin glowered at the wall behind the bar. Who did this person think she is? You stare so intently at two people having an amicable conversation that you make one uncomfortable and you're the one acting like you're being invaded.
How rude

At the woman's irritated words and the reaction his bardic companion, the assassin raised his hands defensively. Still facing the kinto, he raised a hand to scratch his head and adopted the stupidest looking sheepish expression. "Ehhhh! This is all just a misunderstanding!!" He let out a nervous laugh, hand still scratching his head. "It just looked as if you were interested in our conversation, is all." He dropped his hands to his lap again before smiling sheepishly at her. "But I guess my senses aren't as tuned as I thought there were. And people say I'm half elf. Pft!!" He laughed at his own expense. "I'm more man than elf, can barely figure out what's going on around me!" He glanced at Rin, hoping that she would let it go. "I'm sorry for disturbing you, you seem like you've had a rough day. I hope you can forgive my error." With that he gave her a bright smile and a nod and turned his back to her again. Placing a hand on Rin's shoulder, he gently urged her to turn away from the woman and leave her be. "Rin." There was no need for the two to get into a fight. But the way the woman reacted to his calling her out....that was very interesting. If she really had been trying to eavesdrop than it didn't just mean she was interested in the conversation. It meant that she really wanted to hear what they were saying. And that could only mean that she knew something beyond what she was letting on. But what could that be? Was she really interested in him? Or was she interested in Rin? Luckily he was the king of deception and he could only hope that his little act had defused the anger in the situation. The only thing to do now was to wait. Would she make another move in the tavern? Or would she try to get whomever she was interested in alone? He hoped dearly that it was him. He didn't want Rin involved in any trouble. She was nice and pretty and shouldn't have to deal with this.

Letting out a very defeat and annoyed sigh, Ashen finished what little ale she had now and got up and presided to walk over to them. stopping beside them she kept her stand still, much like a soilder. she blamed her mother for teaching her to stand strong when you where afraid, it made trying to be casual very awkward."I didn't mean to offend, im sorry" she said as she went to remove her cowl, but stopped bringing her shaky hand down. that would be to foolish, think carefully Ashen. She knew her cowl covered most of her face, she deemed it to be fit for it to stay that way for now. the last time she saw this 'Rin' was when she was with Fallen, and it was the last thing she needed to say she was stilling with a drow while a Black armored assassin sat beside her.
She looked at the Bard as her heart raced. She tried to keep her breath normal, but she was scared, hell she was horrified but she really didn't want her to be hostile. She couldn't let the Assassin leave who seemed to be connected to her some how simply because she upset her. besides she seemed familiar, her features reminded her of Synaria. perhaps even the Female elf had some information she needed. Synaria had brought up in passing of missed her sister. Perhaps it would be wise to get to know her. after all if things didn't work out, she could just simply leave.
"Rin was it? Sorry to hear you wont be dancing. Might i make an apology by get you another glass of wine? if my moving of seat truly made you uneasy i didn't mean for that reaction. i have seen you here before dancing. it was truly, inspiring and almost familiar " She cursed herself as she made sure her face stayed calm. Ashens hands however where shacking slightly. this was a very bold move. stepping withing a few feet of Elves, to stand to one who can kill her or charm her in a second. her mother would come to life just to kill her for making a bold move like this.
Ashen turned slightly to look at the Assassin. "and you? if it was a misunderstanding please allow me to apologize for my..shall we say annoyed temper. can i get you more ale? or which ever drink you have? mister...umm, im sorry i didn't catch your name." her Jade eyes locking on him, she hoped it wasn't a fake name. she would have to memorize it and decide to tell Fallen later.
Keep it relaxed, if anything happens pretend you know nothing. surely this is how Allynn would handle this...right?

Rin was still tense but she turned towards the other two. she shook her head at the offer of more wine "I'm fine thank you." her body felt rigid, and stiff. the last time she had been this uncomfortable a dwarf had followed her into a city, and soon after she lost everyone that had been dear to her. She glanced and Kell and her smile brightened slightly, "thank you, sorry for the shift in my mood."
her eyes shifted to the Kintu, her bright blue eyes locking on the jade ones behind the cowl. they seemed familiar. much much too familiar for her liking. she blinked and turned to the barkeep and ordered herself a mug of mild cider.

The half-elf turned towards the woman again as she approached, smiling warmly at her. But the expression on his face most definitely did not match his thoughts. So now she was calling him out? Very interesting. Now where could this be going?
"No, no. it's totally fine. We all have our bad days. And it was me who started it." He laughed slightly, meeting the eyes behind her cowl. They were just as brilliant a green as his except in a different shade.
He looked down at his stein after her offer and snorted. "I fear I don't even know what I'm drinking! But I'll have graciously pass on your offer as is. I can't have the person I bothered paying for my drink." He looked up at her again, careful to leave his aura and posture as open and friendly as possible. As much as she was seemingly trying to hide it, the assassins keen eyes picked up on the slight shaking over her hands. So she was nervous? hm...
"They call me Kell." He spoke cheerfully. Normally he would offer up a nimble hand to shake but he figured that the only effect it would have on this woman was to create more tension. He noted she hadn't even drawn back her cowl. Something to hide perhaps? Even he had revealed his features which very much went against all his training. "I don't think I caught your name either."

"kell, hmmm, sounds short for something" ashen managed to force a smile. but it quickly faded when the man asked for her name. she didn't want any part of this, male elf to think she was connected with fallen. she had to think of something else for them to call her. returning the smile again as she remembered the time the kids would reverse there names to see how they sounded. even comparing them to other languages.
"oh! my name is Nehsa, im so sorry for my attitude earlier. its a shame you wont let me make it up to either one of you." she managed to fake a slight frown. "perhaps a bite to eat? i know im famished." this was possibly the first truth she managed to give the elves. she couldn't remember when it was the last time she ate. she had giving her food to Fallen, Synaria, Drethiel and Lucas. when she did have a chance to eat, she was to tired to when Fallen was...is...still...ya. many unsuccessful hunts kept making food and other supplies low.
"if your interested, you can come join me at the table i was at, i only fill one out of the four chairs that are there. i am truly sorry" she managed to keep her voice calm and sweet like talking to a child the whole time speaking with them. changing her gaze from the Assassin to the bard and back. She HAD to come off as innocent, as someone who just had a bad day and not someone who was trying to get information. "its the least i can do, seeing how i wont be seeing any of your lovely dancing and i came off so rude, really one day my temper will get me into trouble." she managed to playful shrug keeping her smile. its not the only thing going to keep me killed at this rate. she scolded herself

The way the woman was talking to them was making Rin's blood boil. She wasn't used to feeling rage or anger, but the feeling was growing strongly and quickly.
The kintu's tone of voice had gone from angry and grouchy to overly sweet, lik someone would sound when trying to talk children into doing as they were told. Or lying to them.
Rin stayed lost in thought and didn't hear the kintu's words right away. She wasn't hungry since her stomach was tied in knots from the unease around her so she wasn't lying when she shook her head "no thank you" was all she said however.

The half elf smiled at the kinto and scratched at his beard as if considering her offer. Either she was fishing for information, which he was almost sure was true, or she really did want to make it up to him, which was highly unlikely considering her nervous demeanor. Either way....he would give her exactly what she wanted.
"It seems being famished is something we have in common!! By all means I'll join you....but I'm not sure I like the idea of you paying for my meal." His last comment was true. This one looked like she had seen better days, where he was more than well off. "Let me just say a few things to my good friend Rin here."
Making sure to move without his elvish grace, the assassin stepped over to Rin and leaned in as if to hug her. This of course was just a ruse so he could whisper in her ear. "I'm going to take her up on her offer to see what she wants. I'm not sure who she is or if she's dangerous so just let me handle this." The words were barely audible. As he pulled away he smiled warmly and spoke aloud. "I'd love to share another drink with you soon, this one was indeed very fun. Perhaps tomorrow? I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. I'll see you around I'm sure."
Turning back to the kinto with a nod he motioned for the table. "Shall we?"

Ashen breathed a sigh of relief, least one of them took a bite at her offer, and it was the one she could deal with. But a thought hit her mind. Perhaps the reason for the females reaction was in a way ashen was talking down to her...crap.
Gulping down the lump in her throat ashen bowed her head" thank you for taking my offer kell, And miss Rin..." She pause to look at the elf. "I am very sorry now I acted you see, I'll be honest.." She hesitated again, do I lie? Or tell the truth? Letting an enemy see your weakness was something her mother swore against and drilled in her head sense she was born. Not being allowed to cry or be weak at all.
However, what would Allynn do? She thought to herself. She knew exactly was Allynn would do, she just didn't want to admit it. "Before the winters fall I have a very, very bad encounter with a female elf. And I'm kinto, elfs have never Ever, been kind to me. Elfs make me very, uneasy. So I am sorry for my behaviour if you found it offensive at all. Looking back on how I spook even I would find it annoying. But I was Hopeing to catch one of your dances thats why I was listen Hopeing to catch a whisper that you might continue. But I see you are tired so maybe another time, and maybe I can treat you to a glass of wine?"
Ashen was sincere for the most part, keep her voice normal. elfs did truly scare the living daylights out of her. However she knew one of them needed to be watched because she saw her with Fallen, and the other could be connected to him some how. Either way she needed to find out something.
"If you reconsider we will be over here, your more then welcome, rest well." Ashen wished to her as she signalled a barmaid to come to the open table waiting for this 'kell' to take his seat across from her.

Rin nodded very slightly at Kell's words that he whispered to her. plastering on a bright smile she looked back at him, "of course, maybe tomorrow would be best. i wont be near as tired as i am today."
At the kintu's words her smile softened a bit. she understood how elves and kintu did not get along, she knew so very well. Rin was one of the few elves that she knew who liked Kintu, and treated them as other sentient beings, not animals.
a memory flashed before her eyes, her father standing above a young Kintu man, he was holding a whip. Rin could remember his screams, loud blood-curdling screams.
she felt the colour drain from her face and hoped it did not show in the dim light of the tavern. "thank you for the offer of wine," she still had that smile on her face though now it was forced. "i will take you up on that offer another day though. i think for now i may go for a walk." 'i need to run, i cant let anyone see me like this. why must these memories appear now?' "i may join you later." as she stood from her seat she bowed towards the Kintu woman and again at Kell, then without a cloak she walked out the door of the tavern and into the snowy streets of Wildgard City.

The assassin watched the elf leave with a look of concern on his face. If some confrontation happened with this woman she'd be ok.....but she had just entered the winter weather without even a cloak. Frowning, he scratched at his beard before nodding to Ashen and joining her at her table.
He considered what the woman had said for a moment before speaking. "I grew up as a man, not an elf. I don't follow their laws or their mindset. Like I said, I'm more man than elf." He smiled warmly at her, the frown easily leaving his face. "And as for the fact that you're kinto, I've never understood the elves disdain for your species. They desperately respect and worship the earth....I think their just jealous that your kind seem to be closer to it than they are by having the ability to take an animal form." This was of course not a lie. He wasn't sure whether it was his upbringing or his human half, but he had always been a very open minded person.
"I'm very sorry that you've been hurt by them. But the only thing you have to fear from me is a little to much tobacco smoke and a large appetite." He smiled, kicking his feet up on an empty chair casually.

"I'm sure there are other things to fear and watch for that have yet come to pass, but then again this can be said for anyone here in Wildgard. No one here has a clean slate." She stated considering removing her cowl. She took note of how casual he was. Propping his feet on an empty chair. Openly admitting weakness like tobacco right away to a stranger. He was either very foolish or very smart.
Either way Ashen was going to make sure that the only weakness he knew of was hated for elfish kind, Least for now. "Well that's something we have in common kell" she began. "We both have large appetites. Only I have a thirst to match as well, least I think i do" she spook casually trying to take note of his facial reactions. Though her cowl was up she wasn't keeping her head down like before. Allowing her fractures to be seen if one wanted to.
Her jade eyes scanning his calm facade. However her attention to him faded slightly as the barmaid can to take there order.
"Yes I'll have one if your strongest ale, and a hearty meal to warm me, please and thank you." She turned her back to the attractive half elf. "What will you have?"

"Hmm," He smiled coyly at her. Very smart. "I said that YOU have to fear from me. I may not have many elvish abilities but I do get along ok." Only half of that was true. Even if some type of confrontation happened he wasn't really in the business of hurting people without cause. He would not harm this woman. However, he was in fact very skilled in the abilities that came with his elvish heritage.
"I've already had a drink with Rin and I like to keep my wits about me. Suppose that comes from being on the road for such a long time." He smiled as he then turned his brilliant eyes towards the barmaid as she approached. Flashing the worker a charming smile he spoke. "I'll have the same as my friend here, minus the ale. Water is fine. Thank you."
Pulling out a pipe from the inside of his leather armored jacket he lifted in towards her inquisitively. "Would you be bothered?"
This one was interesting. She was oh so secretive and he got the feeling that this was caused by something other than her dislike of elves. If that was the case why would she ask to share a meal? But either way, he was patient. He would tell her what she wanted to know.....more or less and in the span of their meal he was sure his keen eyes would pick up on something. Yes, he was an assassin, but he took more jobs in the art of theft and sabotage than he did ending lives. He was a spy.

Ashen smiled legitimately, her father used to use a similar pipe. she in an instant remembered the times she sat with her father fishing, sitting by the fire or doing chores with him. "no im not bothered, please feel free." propping her elbows on the table and folding her hands. letting her smile fad slightly as she waited for him to light his pipe. she had tried her fathers pipe once before, though she liked the smell the taste was another matter and never tried it again.
"so, What brings you to Wildgard? I have seen many souls wonder in and out of Wildgard, but not one so darkly dressed as you." she lied her chin on her folded hands, tilling her head slightly. as she always did out of curiosity. "what is your tale? if i may be so bold." she flashed a smile now crossing her arms but still having them rest on the table. it was time to figure out why he was really here. she thought, her curiosity was getting the better of her. she should have probably waited and asked something else first, instead of trying to get to the point.
keeping calm as she realized her possible mistake she kept her features casual under her cowl. she began to think of a question, any questions that would make him think mainly that she was curious. though she knew he was very smart. knowing full why elf's hated kintu and not being 'raised' by elf's to know the hatred, takes some level of care or luck.

The golden haired man nodded at her agreement and lit the pipe, leaning back casually in his chair and taking a puff. He ran his free hand through his hair at the question, pushing the bangs back behind a subtly pointed ear as he listened to her speak. The question was normal enough when trying to get to know someone knew. But it was also delivered with more vigor and interest than she'd showed since they've been speaking.
Hm.
"I spend time in a lot of places, traveling, looking for work." Which all was true. He puffed again on the pipe. "The clothes.." he looked down at himself, laughing. "Well, I spend a lot of my time for both work and traveling in the night. The fewer people who see you means less trouble all around, I find." This was true as well. He purposefully did not mention his actual line of work. He had a feeling that she wouldn't take the revelation to well.
"As for why I'm here, I was supposed to meet a friend of mine one town back, but when he never showed up I just decided to leave. This was the next closest town without traveling back the way I came." What was it that she wanted to know....
