Rin was just finishing a quick performance in the tavern. the men were hollering as usual wanting more, her legs were tired though. she had been dancing for two hours. she took a seat at the bar and ordered herself a cold glass of wine and another of water. when they arrived she quickly gulped down the water in one breath, she needed to take more breaks if she was this thirsty.
taking her wine glass she turned around the face the seating area of the tavern. as she watched she sopped on her wine, feeling relaxed and happy. she liked it here, as loud and boistrous the patrons of the tavern were none tried to grab at her, unlike some men in other places. maybe she would settle here.
the constant opening and closing of the door to the winter wonderland outside was giving her chills, that was the only thing she disliked about the place. she hated cold.

A black cloaked man entered the tavern then, casually and quietly slipping through the door. Brushing away the heavy flakes that clung to his leather armor and the fabric of his cloak, brilliant green eyes surveyed the room. He had only been here a couple days, but already he was used to the atmosphere. As he was staying in the inn, faces in the tavern were becoming familiar.
Both on business and out of sheer boredom, Kilindyl had went out to explore earlier that day. Always, his sharp eyes were looking out for his mark...but that didn't mean he couldn't enjoy the cool air. Actually, it had been a rather nice day out. For the past couple weeks, the chill had been cutting right through his leather armored jacket, but today his regular garb had proved enough. Eventually, with no luck at all, the half-elf had finally returned to the tavern.
Pulling down his scarf and cowl, his eyes fell on a woman at the bar. He had seen her around before but for one reason or another hadn't gotten to introducing himself. A smile spread across his face then, warm and sincere as he scratched at his golden beard with one hand. What better time than now was there to say hello?
Still smiling and moving with the grace only an elf could muster, he weaved through the tables to come to the bar. Eyes warm, he took the seat next to her. "Taking a break? You certainly are a talented dancer. I saw you at it yesterday but knew I shouldn't interrupt."

Ashen stepped into the tavern after dealing with more of the curses out lashings, she wasn't in a pleasant mood, not anymore anyway. quickly and avoiding contact with others who stood or sat, she kept her cowl down covering her eyes from others. snow falling off her shoulders without care, she quickly took at empty seat near the middle of the bar, near the barkeep.
"barkeep something very, very strong. if im not on my ass within the hour its not strong enough" her words where nearly a hiss. as she placed her forehead in her hand as she leaned on the counter.her head always pounded after the curse's grasp lifted slightly. why now of all time when her kill was in her sights did it activate was completely beyond her. hopefully her drink will help numb the memory and the pain slightly.
as it was placed in front of her, she payed the proper coin and took a drink. the smell of the ale alone was overpowering for her nose, she took a good swig anyway. setting the stein down after the gulp, she slowly looked around. first right then left, noticing the blue dressed elf talking to...looked like another elf. Great...there multiplying. she thought to herself. she would keep and eye on them. she feared female elves, however she was spiteful and disgusted by male elves almost as much as female ones. she would have to watch them closely. pulling her cowl down more, she tried to focus on her drink in front of her, instead of there conversation.

Rin was taking a sip of her wine when the man say down beside her. She hadn't been paying attention to him since soon after his arrival someone had stormed into the tavern in a foul mood. She had heard him speak though.
"Thank you, I do try my best to put on a good perfor-" as she was speaking she turned to the man sitting beside her and her words caught in her throat. She stared a moment at the man beside her, his green eyes radiating warmth, his blonde hair framing his face and the beard he sported gave a slight roughness to his face. He was an elf, or part elf, she wasn't sure, his ears were pointed though so she knew that he was at least related to elven kind.
She coughed. Realizing that she was staring and could possibly be making him feel uncomfortable. "I try my best to put on a good performance. What might be your name sir?" She asked warmly while subtly motioning for the barkeep to fetch him a drink.

The assassins smile only grew as she turned to him. Had he flustered her? Oh dear, he hadn't meant to do that. But sure enough his keen eyes caught the light blush on her cheeks. Although, he considered, that might just be from the wine....or perhaps the exertion from her dance.
As the bartender approached, he nodded, accepting the stein with a smile and a coin. Before taking a sip, he tucked his loose bangs behind an ear. They were not nearly as sharply pointed as a full-blooded elf, but they still clearly showed his heritage.
Ignoring the huffing patron who entered the bar all together in loo of continuing his conversation, the man spoke. "Truely, you succeed." He referred to her performance. "They call me Kilindyl. But that's a mouthful, so just call me Kell." He took another sip and for the first time actually considered what he was drinking. It didn't really matter, he had an incredibly high tolerance for alcohol which he chalked up to both his human side and the fact that he spent most of his time in bars and taverns.

Ashen's tolerance for alcohol could rival any man, however the drink she had just consumed within minutes had already brought blush to her cheeks. it was indeed strong, after ordering another she turned to look at the elf in blue. who was she really talking to? Ashen turned her head to get a better view past her cowl while taking a sip of her ale once more to finish it off. a man in black it seems...interesting. she thought turning back to a proper position. just as was about to swallow the thought hit her, black armor? an ASSASSIN?! She chocked on the ale now stuck in her throat. she tried to keep her coughing quite and blended in with the crowd.
covering her mouth as she coughed, she took a quite glance back at the male elf, his armor was similar to Fallen's. with some differences. as quickly as she glance she looked the other way. hoping not to draw attention, if she left now she would. and she would be followed most likely. clearing her throat as the barkeep gave her her next stein, she reassured the curios barkeep she was fine, "im fine love. just drank wrong. got caught in my throat. thanks for the next ale here is your coin." after paying the coin, she tried to listen to the elves conversation.
it was loud in the tavern, but lucky for Ashen she didn't have human hearing. this was going to be difficult now though, she could barely hear 5 people away from here from the noise. she will have to peice together what she hears. it was going to be trick to concentrate that hard, now with a burning throat. if the blush wasn't red enough before, it certainly was now...

Rin bowed her head slightly towards the man. "Well then Kell it is a pleasure to meet you, my names-" she was about to introduce herself when the one in the black cloak began violently coughing. She was about to go and help when she saw the patron reassure the barkeep and handing the man some coin. Looking back to Kell he blushed slightly, "as I was saying, my name is Rintalia, but many simply call me Rin. What brings you here to Wildgard?"
Rin leaned her elbow on the counter resting her chin on her hand. Her legs were crossed but every shift of her body caused the many bells and loose metal pieces sewn onto her clothing to jingle.
Her eyes locked to kell's she was almost entranced by them. She had nearly lost any form of composure that she had when he had tucked his hair behind his ear. What was it with her and blonde men. They always seemed to fluster her.

He was just about to answer her inquiry when a loud coughing and sputtering drew his attention. Turning in his seat, he peered over at the one who had caused the interruption. As he moved, his cloak fell back and for a moment one of his twin daggers that was strapped to his lower back peeked out. With brows drawn together in concern, he shot a glance at Rin. "I wonder is she's ok." But even as he spoke, the coughing fit passed and the woman was back to glowering. With a sigh, he turned back to the bar and his drink, the cloak falling back in place to hide his weapon....The weapon that was an identical to the weapons of his target. "Rin...Pretty. I suits you." The warm smile was back on his face as he pondered how to answer her question. "I'm here mostly just to travel. I was supposed to meet up with a friend a while back but we never connected." He snorted a laugh. "Still hoping I'll run into him sooner or later. But for now I'm just staying in the inn, waiting out the winter and enjoying the sights and sounds, particularly those sights and sounds you might find in the form of entertainment in a tavern." He winked at her then, his green eyes twinkling with humor. "And what about you?" He then asked. "Are you here to preform? Or does something else bring you so far north? Some adventure perhaps? A man?" He teased her openly, finally allowing the grin to spread across his face. The charm came easily for him, just as easily as his previous lie. Most didn't welcome the knowledge that the person they were talking to was a deadly assassin on the trail of a second deadly assassin.

Ashen sighed in relief that she didn't draw to much attention from the elves, that was way to close. nice going Ashen. she scolded. she watched them talk, she head him say 'travel' and 'friend', her already racing heart which she thought couldn't get any fast seemed to pick up more. what if this 'friend' was a cretin drow....this wasn't good if that's the case. she would have to warn Fallen, and be on guard. however warning Fallen...may make him run, this put Ashen in a bind. she didn't want Fallen to leave but she didn't want to lie to him either.
she tried to concentrate more on there conversation, which seemed harder and harder the more she tried. her eyes widened as the male winked, it wasn't even directed at her and she was blushing. wait! stop! he is an elf! smarten up!you loath elves!..he definitely has charm that's for sure. Ashen shook her head, and cursed to herself of Elvin looks that all elves seemed to have.
Ashen heard him ask a question to the one in blue, something about north? and adventure. argh at this rate im going to have to get closer to hear them properly. i need to find out who this male elf is, and if he is after fallen or not. if he is, i will let my arrow make sure he will never fine him. she secretly promised herself, slightly surprised on how protective she actually was that she was willing to break her vow to kill needlessly. well perhaps, she thought this wasn't so needlessly after all. she would have to find out first.
she hadn't realized but her star never left them, she watched them. trying to guess what they say by there lip movements, she has always wanted to learn this trick. seemed now was a good time to put it into practice. hands tightening around the un-sipped stein she concentrated on there conversation. Allynn was far more talented in this type of information gathering, gods above what would she do now? would she go up and speak with them? Ashen gulped nervously at this idea. talking to elves wasn't something she really wanted to do. however, her Friends life may very well be on the line. she may have to lock away her fears and just be straight forward, she shuddered slightly at the thought of having to talk to BOTH of them. maybe if it was just one of them...she would have to wait to see who would depart first. she did hope the Male would, she couldn't stand talking to Elvin Females...at all.

Rin blushed when he winked at her. It had been maybe years since she'd had a sober man act like this towards her.
He coughed slightly to bring her voice back to her. "What does this friend of yours look like? Maybe I've seen him. I spend much of my time here in the tavern so I generally see all the travellers that come through."
she took a drink of her wine then, and realizing that it was almost empty ordered another one.
His question of what brought her to Wildgard darkened her eyes for a moment. She had come here because of a man, though not in the way he likely thought. Shaking off the slight darkness that had over taken her she looked back at Kell and smiled brightly. "I came here looking for my elder sister. I had heard rumour that she was seen near here. I hope one day to see her again."

The assassin leaned back, scratching the back of his head for a moment. "He's just another elf. Wears armor similar in make to mine." He seemed to brush off the question. "I'm sure you see a lot of travelers though." He leaned a slender arm on the table. "I didn't even consider that someone might have seen him." He also didn't want to give anything away, not with so many ears about. And even if Rin COULD help him, he didn't have a doubt in his mind that he would eventually catch up to his target.
Taking another swig of his stein he noticed the dark look that covered her face. It lasted only an instance but it was enough for his keen eyes to pick up on. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to pry." His voice quieted slightly. "Seems like we're both looking for someone." His brilliant gaze shot up to meet hers then. "No luck then, I take it?

Ashen's curiosity was getting the better of her, eyes around the tables near the elves she noticed one free one close by them. Quietly but quickly she managed to move herself to the other table while blending in with the crowd. She tried to sit casually as to not bring attention, and acting causal.
Lucky for her she remember her stein, taking a drink and pretending to be waiting like the rest of the patrons around the female, waiting for her to song or dance again. She was only three seats away, she hoped she could hear them now. She wasn't an assassin after all...she was a scout, she could stay hidden if needed, and quiet. however, There was a curious eyed bard who can charm her, and a fair more talented assassin.
She would have to be very carful, last thing she needed was to be charmed or to have a blade at her throat..or both.

Rin shook her head. "No sadly, I haven't seen hide nor hair of my sister. And it isn't like her Snow White hair is hard to miss." Her eyes narrowed an she pouted. She wanted to find her sister, it had been decades since they'd last seen each other, and their parting hadn't exactly been friendly, she wanted to apologize for being young and stupid.
Out of the corner of her eye she saw the glowering patron move closer to them. This person had been staring at them as well, making her uncomfortable. She turned her head away and pretended to be admiring something on the wall.
"Kell... I think that person is trying to hear us." She spoke as quietly as she could, likely the person would still hear but she wanted to try anyways.
Her hands had begun to shake slightly. She didn't like being followed. It terrified her. It reminded her of many instances where her being followed had ended up badly for those around her.
She out on a smile and looked back at Kell, she didn't want to worry him. Maybe she was just being paranoid.

"It's a pity." He let his smile fade slightly. "I'm sure she'll turn up eventually. People tend to do that." He nodded to her reassuringly before taking another hearty swig from his stein. In many ways he was elf-like....but when it came to drinking he was just like any other human man.
At her whispered words, the assassin didn't even flinch. Indeed he was elf-like, with keen eyes and a sharp sense of hearing, not to mention his sixth sense. But he was also thoroughly trained as an assassin, heightening his senses even more. Casually, he took another swig before leaning an elbow on the table and dropping his head into his open hand. "Oh, I know." He smiled at her as if he hadn't just affirmed that they had a stalker.
"I've had my eye on that once since she started choking." His brows drew together when he realized how shaken his companion was. Reaching forward he placed his own nimble hand over hers. "Don't worry about it. You're fine here, the place is crowded." And if there was anyone who was skilled in killing in a crowded place it was him. No, this one wasn't going to slip by him.
But then he had a thought. His eyes sparkled mischievously for a moment before he abruptly turned around to face the watcher. "If you're so keen on joining our conversation, there is more than enough room over here." His words were kind and sincere, although the twinkle never left his green eyes. Raising a hand, he scratched at his overgrown golden stubble, a quirky smile spreading across his face.

Ashens glaze turned into an angry glare, not at the elves but at herself. she really had to practice being more...hidden. She sighed, perhaps Allynn and Fallen could teach her later, if she lived after today. if you don't let them know your afraid they wont have leverage on you, just stay focused and strong. your the leader of silver scale, you have followers to protect and these people might know something worth knowing. she reassured herself as her glance trialed to the Black armored Elf. flashing her Jade feline eyes which nearly glowed in the low light of the tavern. "im perfectly fine keeping my distance from elves, thank you. i was simply waiting for the bard to dance again and i wanted a better view." keeping her voice firm as she lied.
i thought struck her, if they did buy it she wouldn't have to talk to the female. maybe this was a good plan after all, she could ask certain question with only one person. frankly the thought of talking to her was something she wanted to avoid. however she will have to play the hand she was dealt. she can play this to her advantage. "cant a Kintu just enjoy her ale with out being suspected of dark deeds anymore in this town?"
perhaps if i play annoyed, they will just assume me to be a drunk and leave me be... she thought. though luck wasn't on her side all day...we will have to see, Ashen was very unsure of what she wanted at this point. she wanted to run, wanted to find out where this armored elf hailed from, and to wonder why the blue clothed elf intrigued her.
