Rules: Takes place in Modern World, Fantasy-based. You may Still use all of your Wildgard Classes, I will allow Cross-classing. Anything goes.
Story:
Takes place in the Future, approximately 5000 years, say. Skip everything and go right to the end of the world. You may choose to have anything in between by this time, however, Story-line goes like this. The "World Ended" when Technology went rogue when it collided with Magic. Back a few thousand years ago. Magic in the Modern world was rediscovered, and the power corrupted the minds of the human race. Experiments gone wild and arry, Mutations, Illness, Psychosis, Wars, the world was run down and destroyed by it's inhabitants. The World changed for the worse, and the beings changed, warped by magic and power, and now what's left, struggles to regain power and life. There are a few functioning cities left in the world, one of them is Winnipeg. The city is one big riot and there is no order. Assiniboine park is still one of the Wildgardian Hideouts, the catacombs are a safe-haven for magical creatures and creations. However. Resources are running out, and what 'Living off the land' there was, is running out. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The air was hot, Stifling. The sun had been down for just over 3 hours and the Summer heat hadn't subsided. There was a overlayer of smoke in the sky, making the entire city look overcast. It was hard on his lungs to breathe and run at the same time. Dragging a Carcass the same size as him, Guile was exhausted by the time he got back to Wildgard. Taking one last look around, making sure he wasn't followed. He ducked behind the runes, dropping the carcass he nuzzled the rubbage away from the secret entrance to the Catacombs. His small Jackal lungs heaving with the effort. Ducking into the staircase he pulled the dead animal down with him. Greeted by the Wildgardians and their hunger.
"Dinner?" They asked, with wide eyes. Guile closed his eyes and shifted back into his human form. He was injured, a long strip of his clothing was torn and his lifeblood could be seen beneath. He panted. "Yeah, It's not much but I had a hard time. I'm- ugh." A strange looking blonde man, Gil, walked up to him and peered down at the mangled corpse. "Dog?" He scowled in distaste. "Can't you get anything else?"
Guile spat, blood coloring his lips. "I COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING ELSE!" He yapped. Reeling from his hunt. Stabilizing himself on the stone of the wall he sat, finally able to relax. The pain was only a dull throb, and he was glad he could experience it in peace now. He Kicked the dog in frustration and put his head back. Eyes closed. "Just... save me some. Alright?"

Gilgaard sighed. "Alright fine, I'm just sick. I can't stand the taste of them any more. I wish... I wish we had something else. That's all." he grabbed the dog by one of his hind legs and picked it up, walking off. Eyes followed him as he went back up to the Opening of the catacombs. pulling the rubble back on top of the opening. Then back again to the halls. A long blonde braid sweeping the floor this way and that as he sauntered. down the hall, still relatively near the entrance, they had a room where they skinned their food. Most of the meals lately had been canine in nature, thanks to the Jackal. But they had luck with Birds and sometimes reptiles when Gil had a chance... to change things up. He'd settle with Dog... for one more day. Then he'd get out of there and find somewhere else in the city that still had decent game. The wizard dug into his cloak for a switchblade, flicking it open as he slammed the dog onto a rickety old table. Eyes watering with the smell. The Others had tried to clean it out the best they could, however the blood stained the stone floors and the stench of death still clung to the walls. His stomach turned as he got to work preparing dinner.

Starfire sat on the ground picking at her nails, she didn't exactly care for the people around her but staying in a group was better than being alone. She heard Guile shout and knew that he was back, not happy but back. She glanced up at his but shock her head and pulled a dagger out from a boot and picked up a stick before she started to carve into it, small detail with no meaning. Her hair was put up into a ponytail and her clothes were ripped and torn, they were also covered in dirt but it didn't exactly matter. "Can you two shut up. We don't want anyone finding us." She rolled her eyes and went back to carving the stick. "You're both sickening." Her voice got quieter near the end.

Aalis had been pacing near the back of the antechamber, just in the shadows. She was in a "were-cat" form, padding along on shoe-less paws. Most of her scarves and skirts had been re-purposed for other needed things, such as bandages, so now she wore very little. She had a simple skirt that ended above her knees, and an over-skirt that was really nothing but some tattered cloth that only decently covered behind her since there was a large gash down the center front. On her torso, she has the remnants of a tank top. On her left arm and her right thigh there were also scarves tied to her that held weapons in place for when they were to be needed in eventuality. Usually, they would slip and fall, but on her currently rather furred skin they more or less stayed in place with only the occasional fidget.
When Guile came back, her ears perked up and her eyes flashed their icy blue-green towards the entrance. She watched him drag in another dog, and quickly walked over to him. She ignored Gil as he walked past in the opposite direction. As he slipped down to the ground, she knelt in front of him and leaned forwards to gently hug him before pulling back and immediately scanning over his body for injuries. Going into "no man's land" and coming back unscathed was nearly impossible. She only deigned to give a quick glare over at Starfire at her comments before focusing on Guile again.
"Ugh, thankfully you didn't take as long as last time... Are you hurt?" She was already pulling out a small scrap of light blue fabric from one of her old skirts from under the hem of her shirt and handed it to him. "Here..."

He coughed. Reaching out for the Strip. "Heh." He sniffled. "That's too small love." Guile took the cloth anyway, he'd need it at some point. opening his eyes again he lowered his chin to look at her. "Now don't you get your fur all puffed up. I'll be fine. I just need to rest. I feel like hell." Which reminded him... bringing a hand from his lap to his satchel, he rummaged around in the junk and pulled out something small. A brooch of some sort, it was silver at some point, now tarnished and caked in dirt. A cat face. The pin to hold it on was all bent and crooked, but it looked somewhat functional. He coughed out subtle laughter and said; "You look good. and I know how you love your trinkets."

Trying to keep his stomach from emptying the nothingness he'd eaten from spewing out onto the dog, Gil covered his face with the back of his sleeve every few minutes. "Gah, Errrp... I can't- UGH." He struggled. He has a weak stomach to begin with, but the hunger pushed him to do things he never thought he could. If he could skin, clean and cook the carcass with his magics he would. But he couldn't even purify the water they brought in. Luckily he could start a fire, and they used that to cook... but anyone could start a fire. You didn't need magic for that. Most of the city was always on fire. Besides it was the aggressive offensive magic that Wildgard needed. To keep all the baddies and nasty creatures at bay during the night. After Dinner, he would be on first night watch.
The Hole that Guile crawled in through was on of the only hidden entrances to the Catacombs left. The ones above ground were already discovered. The only way to leave the other doors was to run the risk of being spotted. And then Gil would come barreling out hucking Lightning at the enemies until the coast was clear again. It was just safer to use the hole in the ground. Until of course someone finds it. And then it would be the only way for the gobbers to get in and there would be little to no way to stop them. Gilgaard thought about this, and the worry made him forget about the god-awful smell while cutting out slices of the dog to be roasted over the fire. The More he kept his mind on other things, the more gore he could stomach.

Star lloked up at Aalis and saw her glare but all she did was smirk. Hearing Gilgaard and his weak stomach made her giggle. This group was going to get killed quickly and obviously soon. Star hated Guile and only said that she'd work work with him cause of the whole group things but she didn't really care, all she cared about was survival. Calmly she stood up and dusted herself off. She also had a pistol holstered on her right hip, seemed to make things easier but she was running low on ammo. "Guile did you find anything else? Something that might help us stay alive." As she spoke she exaggerated the word alive.
Calmly Star stuck her dagger back in her boot and walked over to Guile hoping for something beneficial other than the food that she knew she wasn't going to eat.

'You look good.' Aalis laughed quietly and rolled her eyes, self-consciously adjusting the strap of her tank top. One of the reasons she loved her were cat form was that there was significantly less of her skin that needed to be hid - it was all hidden by fur as it was, really. Though, the shredded remnants of clothes she still wore weren't exactly comforting when it came to not just having Guile around. Gil especially made her feel awkward for some reason, as he was even more keen eyed than the rest of them sometimes, and so she still tended to avoid being around anyone in the group. Well, besides Guile, and occasionally Starfire.
When she saw what Guile had found, however, she paused for a moment. "How did you... I... To find anything like this anymore..." At a loss of words for once, she quietly took it from him and cupped in in her hand. However, when she heard Starfire padding up behind her, she quickly pulled open her shit and let it fall into her bra. It really was the most convenient storage spot. Though, hiding her small treasure was much more instinct than it was necessary, this whole situation had made her a little bit touchy on keeping things to herself. Then she glanced back over at Starfire over her shoulder and gave a dry smile. "You know, that's what the food is for, Star. You could always go help Gil prepare it for once, or, I don't know, go out and scout for things yourself." Her voice, heavy with frustration and sarcasm, actually held very little venom. Though the other girl tended to drive her mad, she found a strange companionship in their rivalry that helped keep the long and tiresome days from dragging her to her wits end.

The Jackal hung his head back for a moment, He wasn't sure which was worse, being out there fighting for his next meal, or having to share it and listen to these two bicker. Though he knew it wouldn't do much good arguing with them, he had to put up with it for now. He and Gil were working on a plan to get them all out of there. A Mission to raid the nearest Fort. Somewhere on the other side of the 'River' there was a bandit hideout, full of High dosage magic fiends- people warped by magic and medicine. They had a stronghold or two Downtown, but the nearest one wasn't actually that far. The Wildgardians could make it to there and back without much difficulty if they could only work together long enough. Guile opened his eyes again and Glared at Starfire, She was always on his case. 'I'm sick of this, I shouldn't take this shit from her. I'd eat her of given half the chance.' Though as much as she pissed him off, he knew she was one more person they had, and the more people they had, the better chance Wildgardians would survive. So He shrugged it off, that was the best thing he could do. He glanced at Aalis, glad that she at least wasn't afraid to say what was on her mind. Though, he hated the thought of what would happen if those two girls really got into a scrap. "Yeah..." He said, sliding his satchel off of his aching shoulder. Tossing it to Star. "I found this." He nodded casually. He'd been doing some scavenging around and found some valuable information. Something the others would both love to hear, and fear. "The Muscleheads hideout. They're working with the Grunge crew, I found a bunch of Plasma bullets and a Keycard. I took the smokes though, not saving those for any of you douchebags."
The Muscleheads were known for being extremely ruthless, they didn't let anyone outside of their group within 100 feet of the HQ without killing them on site. They had a complex where they stored what was left of the world. Resources, tools, money, food, anything that we needed to survive, they had. And they kept it all to themselves. What was strange though, was the Grundge crew. They used to be Druids, but the link to the earth and the nature where they drew their power was corrupted by Dark magic users, the dark magic users tried to channel it into machines that opened up Demon demensions. A way to escape our world and find a new one that hadn't been struck by Ragnarok. Some sort of Necro-doomsday wiped out the lifesources in that area, and destroyed the machines. The Druids of the Grundge crew raided all the areas around them for natural water and plants, anything that was left of naturally growing lifesources. Replanting trees and working together to keep them alive.
Guile looked at Aalis, a sad expression in his face. "Somehow the Druids of Grundge Crew are getting into the Muscleheads HQ, And I think. That keycard is our way in. But It's going to be fucking dangerous, I'm not kidding." He looked back to Starfire. the Bullets should fit your gun. but be careful, the Plasma is a magic-sucker. You hit any one of us and i'll have to kill you with my bare hands. We need all the magic we can get. Gil and I can fight with our magic. You two women do what you do best. but try to work together and I bet we could do it."

Star glared at Aalis, anger quickly raising. She moved closer to Aalis pointing a finger at her before she even began to speak. "Oh give me a break. Like you do anything. It's not like we can do anything. If we leave, people can come and take our stuff, if one of us stays then its easy for a group of people to take over and take the one staying hostage. So don't think that i'm not trying. You can't stay here cause you're not strong enough on your own, that's why we're a team. None of use is strong enough on our own I mean, Guile is lucky he came back alive. Not that i'm not impressed that he did but you Aalis need to learn to keep your mouth shut."
Star caught the bag and pulled out the keycard and bullets. Quickly she stuck the bullets in her back pocket but kept looking at the keycard slowly she started calming down. "I'm sorry.... It's just difficult knowing whats going on out there and I feel helpless sitting here waiting for Guile to get back. I mean I can do things too. I don't want to just sit around base all day." She took a deep breath then tossed the bag to Guile with the Keycard in it. Before she sat back down she pulled the bullets out of her back pocket and started to look at them.
"If you really want me to do something, pass me the bow and the few arrows we have left."

"The bow? Why? As if there's need for that right now. Though, I guess you wouldn't heed it if I reminded you of how I've been around helping not only with first aid when needed, but with food prep and with mending of what few things we have." Still with a disgruntled scowl, she turned slightly away and peered back to where Gil was having troubles with the dog. This one had come in particularly mangy and foul, so she could understand why. Aalis shifted back into her human form, rolling her shoulders back and stretching out her fingers in the process. She ended up a smidgen taller and relatively slimmer in size. Quickly, she adjusted the bands on her arm and leg to fit a bit tighter so they wouldn't slip.
She turned back to curiously investigate the keycard in Starfire's hand for a moment. But instead of pondering longer or taking a closer look, she pushed it out of her mind. Whatever needed to be done, it would come with time. There's nothing to do but wait, run, rise and repeat when the world is ending, after all. Rather offhandedly, she merely said, "I'm sure we'll figure this out. I mean, we've figured out how to survive this long without ripping each other's throats out, and if that's not the epitome of teamwork, I'm not sure what is." She scoffed, and her comment was accompanied by a sneer that was a bit more of a grin in Starfire's direction. Then she quickly turned and kissed Guile on the cheek before continuing sincerely, mainly to him, though to both of them in general.
"The fire. It's not quite big enough for cooking the death and disease out of that carcass right now. Could one of you two deal with it? I'm going to see if I can help the other fool over there with what's left of that poor mutt..." Wrinkling her nose, she strode quickly towards Gil. Reaching the table, she already felt her stomach churning, so she took the bandanna off her head, her limp curls falling down her neck to about her shoulders, and she tied it instead around her nose and mouth. Then, she took the knife out of the scarf on her upper arm and placed it on the table. Aalis turned to Gil and motioned to the scarf. "Want it? It only helps a little, but anything that helps at all is a godsend..."

The Wizard had skinned the better part of the left Side, taking whatever meat he thought he could cook. By the end of the day, he thought he might as well call himself pretty good at cooking dogs. Though he was still fairly new at the concept and he'd never really eaten them before. Certain situations change, and you find yourself looking at your best friends like food. Gil glanced down the Hall at Guile, he was in Human form now, but you never know when he'd start looking like the mangy mutt on the table. Gil shuddered at the thought. 'Who's to say this wasn't some poor kinto yesterday? Is he not telling us because it's all he could find? A few days ago I flew over the entire city and hadn't found anything... and he comes back with another dog. I don't know...' He thought to himself, stomach heaving. the more he thought about it, the more it made him want to throw up. Gilgaard could change into any animal like this, but what would happen to him if he Died? Would Guile bring him back to the den to eat? Would he accidentally hunt him, if he couldn't see his face? Aalis came into the room, making him jump a little. She turned to her as she readjusted her scarf and bandanna. "Ugh, yes please." He nodded, taking a moment to take it and wrap it around his face. Breathing in a few times before facing the slop on the table. Through the muffles of the fabric he spoke to Aalis; "Did he find anything else? I'm getting sick of Dog, And if this is all we can find, I want to take the next hunting trip. I could try rustle up some... fruit, or... something." He shook his head, he knew it was no use. They were stuck eating mystery meat. With the shock the earth was in, it was almost impossible to find anything growing. No fruits, No vegetables. Definitely no Fish with the Pollution in the water. They were lucky they could still boil the bacteria out. But.. he knew where there was a garden. Mushrooms, potatoes, even carrots, and corn.
His eyes got wide, imagining a mashed potato and corn dish, with some Deer meat and.. an apple. It disappeared when he looked back to Aalis's grim expression. he slammed the knife down on the table and leaned his back up against the wall. Staring down at the dog with disgust. His eyebrows drew down into a concerned curiosity. 'what the...' He held his breath and leaned a little closer. Something strange about the dog he didn't notice until now. Reaching out to touch the dogs spine, his eyes became wide and horrified. He shot a glance to Aalis, pointing out a disturbing discovery. As they leaned in to take a peek, It became obvious this wasn't an ordinary dog. It had begun to mutate. A long Ridge of spikes had started to grow along the spine, it looked at though it started cutting through the skin, and was hardly noticeable through the fur because it was so shaggy. Gil grabbed the dog and slid it across the table in blood, getting his hands dirty in doggy insides. He lifted up the head, opening an eye and looking at it. then prying the jaw open. The teeth were regular dog teeth, but they were curved like snake fangs. There were more baby spikes where the eyebrows were, and tiny spikes on top of it's head. Gil didn't say a word, not wanting to scare anyone. He just stared unblinkingly at Aalis.

Star shot a quick glare at Aalis before she went to skinning the dog. She leaned against the wall and sighed, she rubbed her eyes before she moved a hand up to take out her pony and let her hair loose. Stress was what the group was like but Star knew that Aalis had a point. Star didn't do much for the group but she did enough to keep herself alive and that's what mattered. Her first other's second. She let her arms fall freely hitting the ground letting a soft thud and dust rose from the ground. "I'm so sick of this..." She mumbled to herself as she reached over to her backpack and dragged it across the ground to her lap, she dug around her bag for more ammo that she had found the last time they traveled.
"I really need to go ammo hunting. I mean, when was the last time we had ammo for the shot gun? We could also use more arrows." Star placed the extra bullets she found on the ground in front of her and scattered them out before reaching for her holstered pistol.

Guile Lifted his arm and craned his neck to take a look at his side. A nice long gash across his ribcage throbbed in pain. Though he'd never let Aalis see it, or know he was hurt. Pain yes, Gash leaking blood? No. He fiddled with the Ripped garb and wondered what he could do to clean it or hide it some way. The man sighed, not wanting to move, but he'd bleed to death if he just sat there. Looking around awkwardly, he tried to think but Starfire interupted him. "I know, Star, we're all sick of it. You know? And you're lucky I was able to steal that little bit of Anti-magic bullets. I know where I can get a load of shit we need, but i'm not willing to risk all our lives to get it." He cringed, forcing himself to get up off the ground. "I get it, we need shit." He grumbled. Taking the scrap of fabric Aalis had given him, he tried it to his wrist and began to undo his belt, changing it from holding up his pants to tying his shirt tighter around his wait, hopefully putting better pressure on his wound and hiding the gash. He locked his jaw. 'Argh. that's not going to work. she can smell the blood. They're not stupid. I need something else to bandage myself up.'
"I need to go fix the fire. throw some more things on it so we can cook that thing. If we're going to die, I want to die on a full stomach."

For a moment, there was nothing to stir the air. Not a breath from either of them. Slowly, Aalis reached forward and picked up the dog's head from underneath to examine the teeth just as Gil had. They were much sharper than a dog's teeth should be, and secreted a strange vile black liquid. It dripped onto the table, a small vile puddle forming underneath the mutt's loose cheek flesh.
Then she pulled open the eyelids to look at the pupils, dropping the head in shock and giving a loud gasp. She had been expecting a dilated pupil, dead and empty. Instead, they were contracted, so small they almost weren't there. The rest of the eye was bloodshot. The pupil had been staring right at her, and it had made the grotesque face of the corpse look like it was seething with anger.
'Stop being ridiculous... The pupil means nothing. Dead things don't stare.' She shook her head, trying to clear the image before looking back at the body on the table. The eyelid drooped now, showing only the bottom of the puffy eye. It almost made her reaction comical. Turning to Gil, she gave a forced and shaky laugh. Trying to be lighthearted in her usual sour and sarcastic way, she muttered, "Yeah... Seems normal to me alright."
