"DESTAEL"
Stopping short when she heard her name called, Des turned towards the voice. Her brows raised at the sight of the Valkyrie in all her feathery glory following behind her. "I knew it. You might have been able to hide from those ignorant to your species, but I've been around for a long time."
Expression turning back to a solemn frown she spoke again. "I'm hiding my appearance for a reason, please don't use my full name so openly and loudly." Well....unless of course outing her to all of Wildgard as the defeated demon warlord was the angels goal.
Her dull hazel eyes studied the other woman with unwanted curiosity. Despite what she had said, Des had met very few angels in her time on the human plane. In fact, she was still unsure of this ones origin and species. Well....regardless, it didn't matter, she supposed. She had a lot to think about, her mind turning over everything that had been said in the tavern.

Valourie smirked, With the door closed behind her, She stopped, wings opened to the sky, stretched, and slowly closed behind her. Val was quite aware of her Dramatic effect, she used it to her advantage quite often on the Human plane. It made Existence easier somehow, when she wasn't in disguise it demanded respect. Few would dare to defy her will, and even fewer would challenge her. But she knew that wasn't the case with Destael. So she mildly tamed the grandeur act. "...Forgive us." She said, rather calmly down, slightly in a daze, her body hummed lightly with the Divine White light coursing through her. It was intoxicating, being able to release that dead end energy at last. She rolled her head back and forth, stretching the wing muscles.
"...we Didn't mean to call you out. Merely to catch your attention. We don't doubt your knowledge of us." She bowed her head lightly, peering into Des' eyes unblinkingly. "From now on, we will honor your request of Secrecy." The Angel stepped closer, moving out of the way of the Tavern door. "If you Have time for us, We would like a word." She held out a long slender elven hand. A sly smile tugging at her bloodstained cords. Valourie knew full well that a Handshake with a Demon could cause them great discomfort and even pain. Remembering the effect of her touch on Destael's Demonic weapon before her death. Now she needn't feel any Guilt from contact with her... if she had any radiance of good within her.

The human eyed the Valkyrie tiredly before finally taking the hand in a quick greeting. Her human soul might not be able to sense the white light resonating off this person, but she most certainly knew it was there. For a moment she wondered if this was a test of her true humanity. If so, she would have passed. The white light couldn't harm her in the least anymore. She was fully and undoubtedly, human.
"It seems most people want a word with me these days." With a sigh she nodded slightly. "Very well." Here in the open square, the winds bite was rather uncomfortable. Crossing her arms under her cloak she buried her face in her scarf. There was so much she had taken for granted as a demon. Human bodies were so fragile....frail...vulnerable.

'Ah Yes, There it is. That Look. I can see it in her eyes.' Valourie smiled kindly. Watching the thought process brew within Des. 'You're impatient I know, now... take my hand.' She waited patiently and soon enough Des lifted her hand to take hold of the Angel. The white light erupted from her and surged through her hand into Destael, the force of her power only a slight sensation to a normal human being. Almost Immediately Valourie was linked fully into the woman's very being, to her soul. It would only take a moment to start feeding the lifesource through a simple touch. 'Let's see how you truly feel about yourself...' She thought, giving her hand an innocent shake. Then Release. Valourie was bombarded with emotions and feelings all at once, overwhelming her. She was used to it now, Mastering her Art centuries ago, very little humanity could truly move her. But what did, was the amount of regret. She expected it, but wasn't truly ready for the impact.
'Hmph. Human, Mortal. Just as she said...' She never took her eyes off of hers, but she did then, delving into her memories and thoughts wasn't nearly as entertaining now. It never was when she could feel the length of Mortality. 'You're not as fragile as you might think. Lost, yes. But a good number of years left... In good health, If you're careful.' She cleared her throat and spoke. "As you may have known, We have been watching you for awhile. Studying. We couldn't help ourselves but to follow you to the Tavern... Now we can see that you speak the truth. As least, the truth as you believe it to be. The Church of the Rosewood Basilica Knights is not your place. You have a different calling..." The last of the Pompous air about Valourie faded, and she spoke to Des in a calm, confident tone. The cold didn't seem to affect Valourie, but she left a warm tingle in the hand of the Ex Demon long after she let go. The Frost seemed to stave off entirely, making quite the difference between her left and right hands. Especially at the fingertips.

Des may have a mortal body, a human soul, but that soul was old. The long story of her live engrained like a novel in her memories and self. This also meant she was more intune with her body and soul then a regular human; used to calling upon its depths for power among other things. Frowning, she narrowed her eyes, clenching the fist she had just shook hands with. "I don't appreciate unwanted company digging around my soul, angel."
In fact, she didn't like anyone getting that close to her memories and emotions. It made her uncomfortable. "I'm trying to figure out my own fate. I'll be the judge of where I go from here." Actually she already knew what she was going to do. As soon as the monk made the offer she had to take it. She had hurt him so badly, fought him ruthlessly, and yet he was still willing to give her a chance.

Valourie smirked, the contents of her stomach turned and writhed. The Ex Demon was appalled by her intrusion. Which was understandable. The Valkyrie let her hands fall to her sides and lifted her head. She felt like she was going to be sick... 'She's a stubborn one, Good. She's also not as frail as she makes herself out to be, Des still has a flare to her mannerisms. Strong willed. Not a push over like she seems to be on the outside.'
"I do what I must. As do you. We both have a mission. And it is like I said. You have another calling. And you choose where you shall tread, Not the Church. Not Thistle. You may Help him, you may allow him to guide you, even give you Orders. As much as you want to repent, to help those that you have harmed, In the end only you can control your actions. What you believe to be right, and Just and Good, will differ from His. And you will have to choose."
The Valkyrie Shrugged, her temples still pulsing from her Mortal Headache. "We are not here to tell you what to do. Or anything of the similar sort." She brought a slender hand to her forehead. "We can see your fate. A Window to your soul." Lightly tapping on her temple. she smiled at Destael. "...Whether you choose to accept it or not. Your Actions have already begun to change the fate of this world and everything you see, hear, touch, smell. Will change. Very soon. Are you ready to face the Consequences of your Actions now that you are Human? Are you prepared for the events to come, As you were One Hundred Years ago?" She shook her head doubtfully. Almost Glaring at Destael now. Suddenly the Black and bloodstained cords on her mouth began to shimmer and glow with a golden-yellow magic. The Shocked and worried expression on Valourie's face told Destael it was not the Angel's Magic at work. The Lacing on her lips pulled and tightened. Trickling Blood down her lips. 'No! I've said too much.' She Cursed herself. bringing a hand up to lightly whisk away the tiny trails of blood. She quickly tore her eyes away from Des and dabbed at her lips.

The woman listened quietly as the Valkyrie spoke, expression an unchanging frown. "Regardless of what you tell me now, whatever the future is, I will do what *I* think is best." She raised her head, eyeing the Valkyrie with determination she hadn't had since she was a demon.
"You elude to knowing the future, whatever I do now wont matter, will it? Events will transpire how they will." She wasn't worried, if fact this just proved tht what her future held would be hard; dangerous. She was ok with that, after everything she'd done....she figured that it would probably take her death to right things.

"Yes, You say that. But you have not heard us agree with you for the Third time now." She winced, the cords on her lips pained her. A Form of punishment that she could never escape. The wound was always raw, always torn and bleeding, no matter how often it was cleaned, healed and tended to. A never-ending reminder that you can't tamper with fate, Though she always tried. Týr hung over her shoulder from the Heavens, listening to her every word, literally tugging at her strings, yet she fought it. For the Betterment of mankind, She felt Kindred to Destael. Though the Ex Demon didn't realize it yet, they were the same, from opposite spectrums, Both Rebels. A Compass with the same needle leading both their lives in very different ways, to the Same destination. "You misunderstand us, Our presence here isn't to tamper with your goals. Your direction. You speak the exact message with different words than us. Without truly listening to Us, this 'conversation' is going nowhere Destael, You needn't let down your guard and be vulnerable, you're not weak to listen to a stranger, Your trust is so low and suppressed that a simple word from a stranger fails to reach your ears. Perhaps when you were a Demon you didn't have to listen to a word anyone was telling you... but that is no longer the case."
She frowned, tasting the blood seeping into her mouth. She wished nothing more than to be outright and Honest with the Devil. But with Týr's Ever-listening shadow looming over her, she had to be very careful choosing her words. Several hundred years forced the Cryptic speech upon her, She didn't choose it, However, she got very keen on finding new craftier ways to get the point across, Val furrowed a Brow, It didn't seem that Destael was truly Hearing her, never mind understanding anything that she had to say. 'It's a Pity really, The Secret motive of the Gods is lost to this one. Perhaps in time... She will think back on my words, And be warned before it is too late.'

Des frowned before letting out an exasperated sigh. She let go of the tension in her body, relaxing as she calmed Herself. "You're right...I'm sorry."
Not only was she on edge because she was being confronted with an angel, but because of the words spoken in the tavern. It hadn't really been a good day....well...her month hadn't been that great either.
"And you're also correct about what you said about demons. It wasn't that I didn't have to listen to people, it was that I would have been stupid to, it got you killed where I was from. I didn't understand the the concept of trust until I walked the human plane. The fact that I'm human won't change my views on the matter. There are people here that don't think my situation changes anything. They would strike me down as the villain I was. Its why I don't easily listen to advice, or words. " She listened to actions. It was in that way that her trust was earned.

She sighed as well, A knot in her throat being released. "We Understand." she said smiling, she couldn't hide the amusement in her face, so she didn't try. It was part of who she was, and her of all people could recognize the parts of people that came naturally. The true nature of Destael laid out before her. "Yes, Advice. We're not asking you to trust us. Trust is earned. As the saying goes, Actions speak Louder than words. Fortunately Where I'M From we Realize that it's the Words that speak in the Back of our Minds that lead us to commit the Actions. Whether it be out loud or in some degree of Gesture." She took a deep breath, contemplating the right words to say, to leave Des with the desired impression. "Your current situation changes Everything. History is due to repeat itself. And where YOU stand will make the difference in many lives. You are a Model of many walks of life, whether you acknowledge it or not. You walk the balance between worlds. Born in the Demon Realm, you were wronged, and you rose above it to the Red Warlord that these Humans remember, You impacted them. And now you strive to expand in another direction, to redeem yourself. right your Wrongs. This makes you an influence on two types of people, Those truly evil, and those truly good. Everything you say and do Is being watched, no matter how hard you try to keep yourself hidden."

"Interesting concept." The ex-demon raised a brow. She hadn't really thought of it that way. "But unlike spoken words, when acted upon, you know if someones telling the truth immediately."
Des' brows drew together as the Valkyrie spoke. History would repeat itself.....the fact that not minutes ago the woman mentioned the events of 100 years previous scared her. Another mass murder? No....no one had that kind of power.....did they? This angel knew a lot about her; her past, her present, her future. It made her slightly uneasy. But the words struck a cord in her that she didn't think would.
Was she really that important?
"Well, hopefully the difference that I'll make now won't be anything like the difference I made as a demon."

Mirroring Destael's inner graveness, Valouries expression changed, her Light was dimmer and appeared more Human now as if the need to prove herself was gone. She watched the thoughts swim in the Womans head, nodding slowly. "That's what separates you from me. Some of us don't need for Actions to come to pass before we can pass Judgement. It may seem cruel, but Angels don't need to see your Actions through. Valkyries even less, so." She crossed her arms and drew in a deep breath, the headache grew, and with it the tension in her brow, making Val scowl at Destael unintentionally. "...And You're wrong. The Impact you had on this land then wasn't solely your doing. You hardly had that power, And even less power now. This doesn't mean that you are Powerless. Everything is Different, but the Course of History is never repeated exactly the same way. So You'd better hope, that the difference you make now, is even greater than it was all those Lives, ago." The Strange part of it all, was while the Valkyrie was talking, time seemed to stand still, No one had followed them out of the Tavern, no one had moved in the vicinity the entire time they spoke, no one in Town Square. The Fact that time stood still became obvious when the Mink on Valourie's shoulder suddenly sprung into action, it had been entirely still until it reared up on her shoulder and sunk it's teeth into Valourie's collar.
"ACK! ASBJÖRN!" She Exclaimed, jumping and seizing the mink with a Lightning speed. The World around them also awoken with a abrupt whir of Senses. Suddenly the Birds were singing and the wind was howling between the trees and between the Buildings again, the Dull sound of the mugs on hard wooden tables from within the Tavern came to life. Valourie snarled at the mink and opened her shoulder bag to let the creature slither in. He Shuffled around the bags contents and became still. The Angel brought her hand up to nurse her neck, Yellow eyes darting to their surrounding areas with a strangely finicky panic.

The woman's listened to the angel, unblinking. At this moment things almost seemed surreal, as if she was listening to some odd prophecy in an even odder dream. Before she was able to draw a reply from her whirling thoughts, a lighting fast mink brought the world crashing down around them. The surreal moment was shattered as time seemed to spring back into action. Now slightly shaken, Des eyed the angel nervously.
The words, combined with the moment left her with a really bad feeling in her gut. "So things...are going to get really bad then." It was a statement rather then a question.
But there was one thing the angel had wrong. She might not have had the power to commit the atrocities of the past, but she certainly had the influence. Yes, perhaps it was by Halizars hand that wildgard had burned, but it was by her order. She thought back to what the Valkirie said. "Where I'M From we Realize that it's the Words that speak in the Back of our Minds that lead us to commit the Actions." It was her words that lead him to commit those actions. As it happened so many other times in her life.
So in a way the angel was right. It was not solely her doing, no; but that didn't make her any less to blame.

The Mink bite had startled her more than it pained her, it seemed to be some sort of warning. The Mink ran for cover and Valourie herself removed herself from the conversation long enough to frantically scan the area, eyes darting back and forth before returning to Destael. "What... do you know of Valkyries?" She asked quietly with a hint of secrecy in her tone. Almost a Whisper. She walked over to Des and spun on her heel so that she faced the tavern, all the while watching the far corners of their vision.

The woman watched the angel carefully, the tense energy rubbing off on her. Suddenly shifty eyed herself, she answered. "Not much. Only enough to steer clear when I was still a demon." It was the damned white light. If there was one thing all species of angels had in common it was that.
Throughout the entire conversation there was a lingering nervousness in the air. But now....it was obvious. What was going on....?
