"Pirates: How it began." By Captain Sixx the Sixth and Awesome Opossum
The pale moon's light lingered on the gentle waves as 'Lady of the Deep' made another journey from port to port. The Captain of the ship was Nyne, a ruthless ferret kinto. The beast of a humanoid stood at just under 6feet tall, the bulk of muscle on his chest didn't allow for a shirt so he was bare chested otherthan a new fox pelt he had taken from the last village they raided and his own dark fur with the occassional scar or tribal carving.
Standing not ten paces behind him was one of his many children. A young Sixx looked little like her father. He sported the half shift where as she proudly appeared looking more humanoid, not to mention the captains scarred marked skin and Sixx hardly had any skin showing. She was the reserved type.
A slight flick in the female's tail the only sign that she was excited and with good reason. Tonight was the night she became captain. Despite growing up on a pirate ship Sixx despised them, murderous killers and thieves stealing, lying and cheating with no remorse. The ship had taken a beating as it crushed other ships and she couldnt take it any longer.
The ship sliced through a wave, swaying with the motion and that marked the end of altain Nyne as Sixx's rapier skid effortlessly through his back. "Stabbed in the back, pathetic, if i had any respect for you father we might of had a proper duel. But this is a fitting end for one as cruel as you," she scoffed pulling her blade out and quickly wiping the blood from the steel.
The remainder of the crew didnt take to Sixx's actions lightly. They fought throughout the remainder of the night and past the dawning of the sun until only Sixx was left, exhausted and bruised but very much alive. 'What a mess' she thought with a sigh as she glanced over the ships deck, blood staining the hard wood floors and fine cherry wood banisters. Sixx retired to her new Captains quarters and sat with a sigh. From within herinner jacket pocketshe pulled out a deer's antler on leather ties with turquoise gems and hung it on her the elligant fruit wood chair's back.
"Suppose i should clean up... damn should have left a few grunts alive" she thought witb another sigh. Sixx took her time in the captains quarters tossing her fathers junk out the window and tidying the place before she stepped back out to toss the corpses overboard and clean up the deck. There were only a few douzen bodies but the majority of them were quite bulky a.d gave sixx trouble as she dragged them around the blood slicked deck.
The woman's claws gripped a long tail and she set to pullkng the body towards the railing. Sixx didnt recognize the odd lokkkng creature but figured Nyne had recruited the male in the last port city. 'Poor fellow' she tbought as she continued to drag the body.

Earlier that afternoon, coastline, The Lady of the Deep docked at a simple yet fair-sized harbor town. The sun was beating down on the beach, making each rolling wave sparkle like a sea of diamonds spilling onto the shore. The harbor town swam with people of all shapes, sizes and varying wealth. More commonly the Pirates making a living off the trades of the sea. The laborers met the Ferrets with a level of respect gained only by ,fear. They lay a plank from the dock to the ship and began the tedious process of hauling merchandise. Off in the shade of rickety trade post, A peculiar looking creature took an interest in their business.
A Bard, squinting against the sun to watch the Ferret crew with increasing curiosity. He picked up a satchel and threw it over his shoulder. Carefully tucking away the trinket that he had been polishing. Without ever taking his gaze off the ship he made a beeline fo the side of the ship to get a better view.
Shortly after concluding that the cargo was too well packaged for him to tell What it was carrying, The Bard promptly thought of another plan. Counting to himself, he began putting to use of his skills. "Visit one.... visit two..." he mumbled hardly audible. He boldly marched his way up the mark to board the ship. "Visit seventy-six..." he continued under his breath. By the time he had reached the gate, The Ferret Shipmate merely raised an eyebrow at the creature. The Bard in the Ferrets eyes, was a strange anthropomorphic Opossum. He wore a brown leather coat. Matching boots, matching satchel, and was armed with a singele longsword, And abuckler. The Bardic Possum bowed low to the Ferret Crew guard and finished his count, sauntering onto the Lady of the uDeep.
Luckily his Bardic Charm and skill often kept him out of more trouble than he could geto himself into, this time he wasn't sure What wonder drew him to this particular vessel. With the clever utilization of his Visit skill, he could explore without being harmed. The shipmates all glared at him as he went on by, Possum would bow and nod Greetings here and there.
Several hours had passed and the afternoon gave way to Twilight, the sounds of the ship died down to a dull churning of waves and the creaking of it's wooden frames. The shipguest welcomed himself to the cargohold, where he spent some time delving into various boxes and crates, taking as he pleased . He went undisturbed until his ears detected a scuffle above him on the deck. There were shouts and the distant clashing of steel on steel.
A battle had broken out.
Possum the Bard stuffed his satchel with as much as it would hold and made for an escape, carefully, he waited for an opportunity to bail. Narrowly avoiding conflict until he feared a run-for-it had to be dared. He skittered to a halt on the deck, realizing the ship had long-since departed and there was nowhere to run, and nowhere to hide.
The ship was littered with bodies and washed in blood, his heart began to tremble. And his paws began to shake, a familiar feeling he got just before he fainted. He backed away from a poor gutted Ferret lad, hawking in horror at the twisted expression on his dead face. Possum bumped into another crew member and lost control of his fear. Before he knew it, his paws were in the air and the ship floor smacked into his back.
When the Ferret Success came round to clear out her kills, Possum sprung to life again as the Ferrets cold paws wrapped around his tail. "AUUURRROOOOU!" He yelped, coming to. He scrambled separately to cling to the Lady, tail wrapping around and around the evening air for something to latch on to.

The female hadn't expected a corpse to reanimate but her reaction was fair, leaping back while drawing her rapier and landing obviously ready to lunge forward she gave a low snarl as her thick tail puffed out behind her. Sixx's stance lowered as the creature yowled "shut your trap and stand up undead rodent!" She hissed baring her fangs.
She had heard myths of undead coming to life and devouring peoples innards, 'not this ferret's innards' she thought defiantly. "You picked the wrong day to be reanimated vile curr" the female's tail had unpuffed and was now swaying from side to side behind her as she readied herself. Standing approximately five feet away she tried to remember the tales, strikng their torso was useless... wasnt that right? Aim for the head, take it off...
Sixx looked the creature over again, it had blood on it from laying on the soaked deck, but she didn't recall fighting it earlier... was any of that blood it's own? Sixx too had blood all lver her normally clean kept attire from dragging and fumbling with the corpses, the slick deck didnt help as she did slip a few times (but would never admit it) resulting in blood on her knees and back side...

The Opossum visitor slipped free and flattened to the ship deck, paws and tail flailing franticly. Gasping and panting, the creature scrambled to get his bearings. Gathering wits and composure he stumbled to his feet and whipped around to Face the Pirate covered in blood.
She was Raving on about the undead, and the thought of reanimation made Possums stomach queasy. He held his paws high, ears folded meekly to the sides of his head. His pearly white eyes pleading with her. "Hehehe... now now, miss uh... Miss." He stuttered, treading carefully. His thoughts wandering guiltily to the satchel of stolen wares, just feet away. "I'm just a Bard. Please don't hurt me!"
He was trembling in his boots, considering the sword strapped to his hip, but not convinced he could best the woman in combat. 'Perhaps I can talk her down...' he thought.

Sixx's dark eyes looked the creature up and down as he scrambled to get a footing on the blood slicked deck. When be spoke her left brow raised and a faint smirk played across her lips. Undead cant speak, they groan and moan, if they speak its rarely mkre than a few words let alone a sentance. "A bard on a pirate ship?" She asked watcbing him wearily. The ferret female still held her sword in her right hand ready to attack or defend if need be, her left hand was raised as well and was bent at the elbow, hand near her ear as if she might pummel the white eyed male with her fist should he get to close.
"Its far to late for me to turn this ship around and return you to where ever you came leaving me with to options" she thought aloud, her expression grim as she spoke. "I could kill you right here right now andtoss you over board as i had previously intended before you awoke" sixx began before pausing to think. "OR......"
"You can work on the ship as a grunt until the next port city where i can get a proper crew" Sixx's dark eyes remained emotionless, locked on the males white eyes in a patient stare as she waited for him to make the next move, half of her hoping he'd do her a favour and leap off the ship the other half hoping he'd stay so she'd have someone to help clean this mess up.

It was Obvious to the Bard which option was in his favor. Even if he jumped ship, he'd likely perish before he could regret his decision... He grinned weakly, unarmed he was suddenly grateful for his Bardic ability to 'visit' enemy territory unharmed. Though it didn't stop his knees from shaking before her.
He weighed the debt he was in, a single white tooth peeking out of his mouth in a devious grin. 'Heh, worked my magic perfectly... I think I'm safe as long as I don't threaten her... ahk, I'm not dangerous enough to threaten this one...'
With heart pounding with adrenaline as he brought his feet together and bowed elegantly before her. With a right paw over his heart, and his head low respectively. He cleared his throat. "Awesome, O. Possum, at Your service Mi'Lady." he kept his head low and left arm outstretched, offering his paw to her.

The woman furrowed her brow, 'bards' she thought with a light sigh before sheathing her blade. "Do you rely soley on words Possum or do you know how to use a blade?" She asked as her right hand remained in her hilt prepaired to quick draw. "I dare see how a poem would helpyou should we be attacked."
Sixx glanced at the deck tryjng to decide how to go about the remainder of the cleaning. Her current attire was already trashed so she might aswell help with the remainder of the corpses before going to change.
"You can address me as Captain, no more of that 'miss' buisness" she addred before turning, ignoring the outstretched paw of the white eyed male, and started dragging another corpse, releasing her hilt she used her right hand to pull the heafty bodies.

ode Grinned, remaining bent until she began to stalk away. Once her back was turned and hand void of weapon. He stood to a full gallant height. "Yes, Captain." He spoke, with a nod. "I do know how to use a Sword, rather well I might add, though I lost it in a carcass somewhere... had to make a quick escape, if you know what I mean." He looked down at the sword strapped to his hip and lost his breath 'Idiot!' He hissed at himself. "I Mean to say, this here blade, is not mine." He marched along behind the corpse she bore, full of cocky confidence. "As AS for my Poetry, you'd be surprised what I could do, should we be attacked... I made it this far haven't I?"
He knew that the Effect of His Visit were still ongoing, but he wasn't sure how long exactly any of his spells truly lasted, He never stayed near long enough to find out. he bent at the knees to grab hold of a rather burly Ferret corpse, tugging with all his might he managed to move it a few feet from it's original disposition.
