Story Plot: Thea the Druid grew up with her family. She had three siblings, an older brother and a younger brother and sister. Due to the fact that she was the oldest girl she was in charge of her younger siblings, making sure they didn’t get into to much trouble. This is how Thea became really good with kids. The family normally moved from town to town looking for work and never really settled any were. They owned very few possessions and were almost always on the road.
Thea’s father had been cast out of the Druid order that he grew up in when he was young. No one in the family (not even Thea’s mother) knew about her fathers heritage.
One day as they were traveling through a forest the family was attacked by bandits looking for money. They killed Thea’s older brother first and then her mother. Before her father could use any of the few spells he had learned another bandit came behind him and stabbed him in the back. In the commotion Thea’s younger siblings were killed as well. Thea blames herself for their deaths. Just as the bandits started towards her, Thea’s anger and pain seemed to combine into one and a flash of light catapulted the bandits into the trees (dying on impact). Thea was knocked out.
When she woke up it was dark, luckily no one else had traveled the road that day. Sparing the details of the distress, sadness and anger she was feeling, Thea gathered the few possessions she could carry and the rest of her family’s food. The next thing she did was make a makeshift funeral pyre and cremated her family. She waited until the fire burnt out and then continued on the road. She was 11 years old at the time.
For the next few years Thea dressed as a boy in order to find work more easily. As she traveled she tried to learn as much about magic as she could. She was given a silver, black, and gold wand from a wizard who saw her magic potential. The wand is Thea’s most prized possession.
More time passed and Thea became unable to hide her gender, work was increasingly hard to find work. That was around the time that she met Rose, a shady assassin. Both girls are extremely wary of each other. Thea disapproves of Rose’s occupation and Rose hates magic, but they both saw the benefit of traveling together. Thea makes Rose seem harmless and Rose is better at stealing and fighting. They traveled together for 6 months before finding Wildgard.
