If one walked along the River Ann far enough they would no doubt reach Lake Konah, an odd shaped little lake where a dam has formed of old logs, some from well over 200 years ago. This dam has lead to the river being quite low for many years, some parts of the river seem shallow with a large chasm leading to it but the lake is nearly over-flowing the dam. This is where Sixx has been collecting logs for quite a few months now, the ship's dragon, who has since matured and is readying to leave the proverbial nest or ship, carried a few logs a day like a dog might carry sticks and piled them further up the river at the mouth of the great sea where Sixx had been doing her best to roll them and begin to build but her carpenter has been missing for nearly a year now and assumed dead.
"Damn it all I'm a fighter not a builder" she cursed under her breath one chill morning. Summer was in full swing now and she so wanted to get this port finished this year. But with her crew running their own little lives now she was left with little help in the building. The pirate huffed as she pushed a log atop another at an angle and fumbled to get a spike into it to hold it in place before trying to push the other side into place as well. Her thoughts wondered past the hard work over to the wildlands and she scoffed. "feh, not a citizen" she mumbled as she slumped, sitting next to the two logs stacked atop one another and glared up at the sky, the sun was beginning to breach the trees and with it the summer heat would surely follow.
'So what if we aren't citizens there' she thought, 'I have plenty of gems and tradeable goods, surely I can procure some workers.'
... two weeks later ...
Sixx sat atop one of the old run down buildings along Lake Konah as she waited for some of her 'hired help' to arrive. She had procured one canine who she'd talked to years ago as well as the help of a demon who she'd been toying with over the last few days. The demon had made a blood pact with Sixx, and being the weary, suspicious type she'd transferred the pact onto a voodoo doll. She had tested the doll already and was thoroughly amused with the results of course, it now sat safely in her deep pocket along with a utility knife of sorts. Sixx waited there atop the building for her helpers, stretching lightly as she watched the sun become lazy and begin it's descent. The pirate clad in red and brown glanced over her shoulder up the river to the sea where her ship was anchored. It's sails were trimmed, looking like 3 tall sticks on a floating log from so far away but still she smiled at the sight of it. Soon enough she would have buildings and trading port to call her own. Recently she'd had contact with nobility from Rivermoor who were interested in trades so this port was more than necessary. Her tail flicked impatiently as she pulled a scroll with her blueprints drawn on them, Sixx looked them over again as she waited.

Following his instructions, it was easy to get to after his task with the help of his wings. even though it did take him some time to get there. Landing near by, and hiding his horns and wings away; he began to walk closer to the ruins. with eat step, he could feel that strange pull as he walked to the run down buildings. A pull in his gut that told him he shouldnt come back. But...a deal was a deal, and it was his job to assit tog et the relics no matter the cost.
walking past a few buildings, He looked up to see a pirate glades in reds and browns that he had made the deal with. he grinned his usual smile, and waved even though her eyes still looked to the paper she held.
"Why hello, Capitan. what do you have there?" waiting for her reply, he looked around to get an idea of the work he would be doing.

Sixx glanced up from the scroll at the male who had finally made his way there, "just building layouts" she remarked as she rolled them and slid them into the pouch on her hip before sliding off the rundown building's roof and landing on the ground below. "Ready to work?" she asked with a smirk. The demon had agreed to not only build one wall as she had asked but four to prove his loyalty. Fine by her. Alone she had only managed to get a few walls started but she couldn't physically lift the logs high enough on her own to build the walls to the height she wanted them to be.
"it's a bit of a walk up river yet, but that give us time to have a chat before you're worked to the bone" she said coyly slipping a clawed hand into her pocket, her left hand rested on the hilt of her rapier. "Now, most of the materials are already there, you just have to lift them up into place and secure them... I can handle the claywork just fine." Sixx's index finger claw moved to the voodoo doll's right ear and she nicked it, slicing a thin clear line like a paper cut. The ferret pirate's one good eye watched the demon carefully, trusting him about as far as she could throw him but the doll made her feel a tad more secure at least. Not to mention that he still needed her for the other relic she had on her. From what she could recall they had said they were a servant of D. The red demon who'd brought the darkness to the Pan'ti. Would giving them the relics rid the land of this darkness or worsen it? she wondered cautiously watching the demon as they walked.

Just as Cinder was about to reply, a small sharp pain attacked his right ear. Raising a hand quickly to it, and he grimaced in pain for only a short moment. Looking at his hand he checked for blood. "the hell" he muttered... Cursing in his mind, he chalked it up the the bug of this plane and let his attention move back to Sixx.
His smile returning. "yes, i am ready to work to prove my worth for the trinket. and anything else that would help my Warlord. as for chatting, you wish to get to know me im flattered." A small chuckle escape his throat as he couldnt help himself from talking to yet another fine female of the lands. "but, it wouldn't hurt to know at least a little of the fair Captian im working for. Lead the way." in a bowing gesture, he kept eye connect with the Captian, his charming smile never fading scene the 'bug bite'

Sixx's one eye rolled slightly, "don't misunderstand demon, I have no interest in males, least of all demons." as she spoke she unsheathed her blade an inch, letting the polished metal shine into the demon's eyes before re-sheathing it. "You're here to work, and work you shall." Sixx's hand never left the her sword and her other hand never left her pocket. She didn't want the demon to see his blood oath he'd left on her missing from her left hand. The oath was still intact but was placed on the voodoo doll he held lightly in her other hand.
"Tell me of these relic's you're seeking. What do ye wish to do with them once you have them?" she asked walking along side the river. Past lake konah the river was quite full, nearly all the way up the banks. Sixx assumed it was for a war of some kind but was curious if the battle field would be the wildlands or the demon's land where ever that may be.

Following along sixx's side. he had to ponder why all females acted to him at first from this plane. he was 'testing the waters' and always flattered Females, it was just something he did. However, he hoped Sixx would reaise that it was just in his nature, and proceed to listen to her words. Even though he felt like he was suffocating, he kept close pace.
"I personally dont want anything to do with them, A demon bound to a relic its...its a bad way to go if your unfortunate enough to lose it." Cinder spoke keeping his eyes forward watching the waterside carefully to avoid it. "the relics are Demon Channels, Demons use it to connect to a well which gives them massive power. D wishs to remove the ones from this plane or any other, due to the fact in the hands of others who are not a demon like myself they are prone to insanity."
Cinder turned his gaze to Sixx now, the seriousness in his tone shocked him for a moment. "they grant power, lots of it. i have even seen a human first hand grow horns and wings and have a thirst for power so great he eliminate all his followers trying to be the 'strongest' out of them... it was...ironically barbaric." Cinders normal smirk showed for a moment, only to let it fade returning to the matter at hand. letting his gaze follow forward once more.
"they are a threat here, and in the demon plane. Warlord D wishes to remove them, however she is currently Neck deep in a war on the Demon plane, and though i am needed there, i am needed here as well. which is why im going to be building those walls for you, to show i mean you no ill will, and get the channels.dark relics, things born of this plane, i dont need, Demonic ones, i need to remove and return them to D who will then instruct me on how to lock them away, or better yet get rid of them completely. which ever My lord sees fit."
Cinder truely hated Demon Channels, the thought of them disgusted him. he understood not all Demons where fire, and strong as he could or Zell. however, Channels where...a cheap way to become stronger. but alas, it was the world he hailed from, and power was something to be respected and feared. anyone would sell out there own brother, father, or mother to get it.
curiosity now getting the better of him, Cinder turned his attention back to Sixx. "how did a pretty lass like you come across one? if not more?"

Sixx listened carefully to what the demon male said about the trinkets. They were used to give them some kind of power, like mana for demons? she wondered as she walked along, eye moving up to check how close they'd come to the port. The female's ferret ears flattened beneath her dreads when she heard that even humans grew a thirst for power because of these trinkets and the wells they were attached to.
"So you expect me to believe that this demon D doesnt plan to use the powerful little trinkets to win this war back on your plain. If they're so powerful one would think they'd wish to keep them around until they win, no?"
The trinket around Sixx's neck was a heavy burden to be carrying about but she knew it was necessary in order to keep the darkness out of the forest of Pan'ti. One eve while she was visiting the bard shrine, offering some rum and hoping for the few of her crew which were away on a journey to return safely she realized that the bard shrine was not as it used to be, it was much darker... She'd acquired this trinket that day and since she had taken it from within the shrine where the bell used to toll the darkness lessened quite a bit there. The shrine was still much darker than it had been but it no longer reeked of the true dark she had smelt there for some time. The voice had explained a bit about what it meant to carry the necklace but of course left some of it out, damned dark beasts...
The pirate captain snapped out of her memory, ear flicking towards the demon. "I'm a practitioner of" the captain paused to think of proper wording... "a few different types of arts, and a trader of goods" she replied with a smirk, "I've got plenty of odds and antiquities." Sixx's tail swished behind her as the ground became void of grass and gave way to sand. The port was but a few hundred yards ahead now. "I've often wondered how your kind can tell the difference between these chanels and regular old relics, dark or otherwise," she remarked as her bare feet padded along the sand nearing the layout for the buildings.

"i know Demons here dont have a very good reputation, that is another reason im here. you have every right to mistrust, a way to gain trust is...constancy. I will show that D and myself wish for these Channels to not fall into the wrong hands. During the cold months she, thistle and Discord came here to gather them and had a very, hard time...so say the least. being near the wells, gives use power by itself. the Channels are a piece of those wells. powerful yes, but the longer one has one the longer they are bound to its power. D doesnt want innocents finding them and inevitably dying because of them. it should be something Demon blood is shed over, not human or otherwise. even Demons go insane for them, a story that actually binds me to D now..." Cinder sighed as he remembered the things ripped from him. he wasnt one for this stupid war, but it eventually 'knocked' on his door.
Cinder listened close to Sixx's words. a practitioner of different arts huh? looking at her from the corner of his vision, noting Sixx's pace. "Demons are drawn to the wells, which pull us to power. A reason Demons are in a power struggle all the time. As it is in a Flowers nature to grow, bloom and show its beauty to the world for a short time, then die...it is the same for a demon, but our beauty is in the form of power, and for thoses who lack it, in the form of worth. Best blacksmiths, best painters, bests guards etcetera. Power is respect much like loyalty is here. whats relieving on this plane, is that not much is willing to put your head on a spike for it unless there minds are as dark as the very demons on my plane."
crossing his arms, he let this eyes lock onto her once more as he smiled."it would be the same as you being drawn to your practices, rather it be power, or curiosity." his smirk vanished suddenly as he paused even his steps for a moment. Uncrossing his arms, he looked down with curious eyes. he felt a grain substance on the bottom of his feet, shifting in between his toes. it was actually a pleasing feel, it was warm, but so strange to him. "this feels...strange..." he watched as the heat from his food turned the strange grains into shiny white and grey pieces. 'glass?' he thought to himself. "is this sand?" crouching down for a moment letting his hand sift through as it began to melt the sand into glass. "this is going to pose a challenge...ill have to control my heat if im building on the sand. ill just have to be careful." he stood while clapping his hands free of anything left on his hands as he looked forward, standing up proper again. "is that where we are going?"

Sixx listened as they walked along the sand, the jingle of keys and coins, the lapping of the waves and the quiet ambiance from the near by forest surrounding their chat. If demon's knew the power and were trying to save humans from it, call her crazy but that sounded absurd. Every creature of dark and demon she'd ever met hungered for not only power but also blood and wealth... What made these demons so different? all the one in the dark bard shrine wanted was for the forest to be safe too, or so it said at least.
"comparing demons to flowers, haha that's a new one" Sixx smirked as her clawed toes kicked up a bit of wet sand. The female paused as he did and looked back at his feet and where they fell, glass? She'd seen a few different types of demons now, wind, shadow, minion, and for the most part she'd avoided having to deal directly with them. Was this a heat or a fire demon? did they come in that variety she wondered with a smirk. "oh aye, we're headed just up there, to that hill, see?" she pointed to a grassy hill overlooking the water. There were three buildings foundations laid out up there but none of the walls were over two logs high. The building materials were in a heap at the bottom of the hill, not stacked neatly but literally piled atop one another.
"Ye just have to use your demon-y strength to lift the logs into place and then tack em there. I've already set up the supports on the inside." she explained as she made it to the foot of the hill and lept up, claws gripping the grass to pull herself up. Eventually she'd build a nice walk way and a dock too, but for now the buildings were a priority.

"i am a slightly poetic it seems, sorry. i know Demons arnt flowers." Cinder smiled. Looking to where the captain pointed a wave of relief washed over him. his feet stung in the wet sands under his feet. water and ice where not his friends, on this plane or any other.
seeing the somewhat built areas made cinder smirk slightly. least this job was easy then, all Sixx needed was some what the humans called 'elbow grease' however seeing how Sixx had to climb, that would make things...challenging. "alright, seems simple enough i could even tie multiple logs together and fly them up if we had rope. reaching up to pull himself up as Sixx did, the grass burned into ash at his finger tips. as he looked down, he let a sort of disgruntled snort come from his nose. with a sigh, the heat around him nearly vanished.
"everything being flammable here, makes things a pain. if i stop lifting the logs at any time, its to calm the fires, so i dont burn your materials..." standing up and stretching his arms, he kept his eyes on sixx. "i want to earn the channel after all. So i am to get these logs up and build walls, is that all? or at least all for now?"

Sixx's ears flicked back when she heard the grass puff up and disappear. As the half ferret female aged the world around her, mainly the plant life, seemed much 'louder.' "yes, burning the goods would set you back quite a bit" she replied with a smirk. "and I am a pirate, of course I have rope." Her tail flicked back and forth at his cockyness. She was strong for a female and exceptionally strong for her species yet she struggled with the water smoothed logs, most of which were three to five times her body weight. She stepped forward and removed her hand from her pocket and lifted a hammer and an iron spike and began to explain. "You drive the spike in after you set the log in place, it holds it up so that I can clay it," sixx nodded at the sopping bags of clay next to the logs. The clay laying was easy enough for her to do and the sun hardened it for her just fine.
She turned on a heel and hopped off the hill into the sand, "I'll go grab some rope while you get started" she added, removing her hat she hung it on a post at the edge of the waterway. "Just build it straight up where you see the other logs stacked, the building you're at now should be two stories tall. Think you can handle that?" she asked as she untied a small boat and climbed in, glancing back at him as she waited for a reply.

Walker felt quite uncomfortable where she was, tucked 'safely' between the ferret captain's overgrown breasts but there was little that could be done about this. She had been trapped in the bard shrine for so long that it had been beginning to drive her mad as the forest that she so loved was becoming overrun with disgusting fungus. The demon let her mind relax as she flickered into the necklace which held one of her illusions. Thanks to the damned wildlings her ability to throw out many illusions was destroyed but she could at the very least have a little vacation.
Of course, the captain trading away the demon channel didn't help shadow walkers mind ease in the slightest and who was this pompus male taking it? she wondered, tucked in safe and sound she couldn't see anything, only hear him. Damn this woman and her strange abilities of immunity to her. Having been to the captains quarters and hung on the back of her door she knew mostly why. This one practiced a few different forms of the dark arts, some might call it voodoo. She had markings on her that protected her from them, they likely weren't easy to get on there either.
Walker now thought of what would happen if D got ahold of the necklace she now took refuge in... would they destroy it? could one torment a necklace? she wondered. of course the pirate captain was doing just fine with that, it was far to warm and muggy here. Shadow walker tried her hardest to escape the necklace and flicker into the woman's shadow but it was useless. Being bound to the bard shrine really took a toll on her after all.
