Role in Wildgard:
Making bread and resolving conflicts. In his mind, there is no excuse for violence in anything but self-defense. Naan.
His Story Thus Far:
He came to Wildgard when his father's death, after the many, many months it took for a letter to get to Northern Germany, and for the many, many days it took for him to find someone who could read it, and at least, he came to Wildgard. He managed to make a friend of Synaria, who gives him the things he needs to make bread.
When the mysterious Bard's Shrine and the shades all came to Wildgard, only a day after he arrived in the strange land, he tried to figure out what caused them to appear, even going so far as to trek to the Bard's shrine and examine it. When it became apparent what had to be done, he risked his (very large) body and managed to steal the scroll containing the spell needed to destroy the wights. He takes pride in this, but will not brag nor boast about it.
Personality:
There is nothing in this German's mind but bread. From Kaiser Buns to Sugarloaves, he makes all kinds of bread, and gives it out freely for people to eat. He is always at his happiest when making bread, and always at his lowest when he's out of flour. He tries to resolve all conflicts by bringing people bread of all forms, and will sometimes force people to sit down, eat bread, and talk it out, instead of fighting. He is against any violence not in self-defense, but he is also willing to let it pass by, as long as the violence is not directed towards him or his bread.
However, it should be noted, that anyone who tries to interrupt his baking will a very, very rude response, perhaps even a roll of dough smacking them in the face. He has no tolerance towards people who do not like bread, but will also gladly accept people's advice on how to improve. He, in a nutshell, wants to make everyone happy.
TRIVIA:
- The Baker has a very strange system of beliefs, revolving around three Gods: The Father, the Son (also known as 'Christ' or 'Jesus'), and the Holy Spirit. The symbol of this faith is a cross with a man suffering upon it. The holy book of this religion seems to promote intolerance, including the stoning of sinners and waging war against certain peoples.
- The Baker seems to not understand flirting nor romance, and claims that "mein only liebe ist brot" (my only love is bread).
- The Baker speaks German, English, and a very small amount of Russian (mostly swears)
