Centreusus looked around, startled. This realm was nothing like the one he had left, bright colours and out of place figures replaced with a haze. He shook his head slightly, flicking one pointed blue striped ear in confusion. The cat kintu had a decent enough idea of how he got here, images of a red clad woman and armoured knights came to mind, but where was here?

Idina meandered along the Insubstantial Plane, conflict in her heart. As much as she would like to meet with a friend of hers - or anyone she knew - while she was here, she hoped that none of them had been killed recently, permanently or otherwise.
Thankfully, the Plane seemed relatively empty for now... Save for a figure she didn't recognize. Pale green wisps of light trailed behind her as she approached them, hoping to get a sense of how dead this new character was.

Both ears pricked up as Centreusus noticed a figure in the fog. Okay so, he wasn't completely alone here. That was an improvement at least, so long as they weren't trying to kill him. His striped tail swished slowly behind him, peering further into the haze. Even Centreusus' keen cat eyes couldn't discern much more than a green blur. He raised one hand in greeting and called out to the newcomer. "I trust you're not here to kill me then?"
(OOC keen cat eyes first thing I thought of was Legolas what do your elf eyes see)

A bit startled by the reply, Idina paused for a moment before answering. Unsure of whether he had meant the comment seriously or humourously, she decided to smile and respond calmly. "Correct," she said. "I would not be able to even if I wished it, worry not." He still had plenty of colour to him, which was a good sign that he likely wasn't fully dead. Still, she wanted to know for sure before making assumptions.

Centreusus hummed in thought. "Ah, well that's a blessing." He mused, a half smile pulling at his lips, revealing a mouthful of sharp teeth. He paused, before turning to the girl. "However I assure you death is possible despite your skill." Centreusus' smirk grew wider and he extended a hand to the girl. "By the way, I'm Centreusus. Who might you be?" He stopped, tail flicking as he surveyed the land around him. "Also, do you happen to know where we are?"

"This is the Insubstantial Plane," she responded simply. "It is a halfway point between the world of the living and the afterlife, in a way." Idina looked the Kinto up and down, still trying to decide how dead he was. "Which is why I could not touch you, much less kill you." To exemplify this, she stuck out her hand as though to take and shake his, only to have it pass through his and make the green light curl around it like steam.

Centreusus' eyes widened at the sight of Idina's hand. "Oh...well that's definitely interesting!" He leaned in closer, smiling ever wider. A row of pointed teeth gleamed. "However dear, one does not need to touch someone to kill them." His smile stretched farther, then fell. Centreusus hummed again quietly as the girl's words sunk in. A halfway point between life and death, huh? Well if that was the case it would make sense for him to have ended up here. Curiosity overwhelmed him as his eyes followed the green light. "Why are you green though?"

((OOC: Well, it's never nice to assume! XP ))
Idina leaned backwards a little to compensate for the Kinto's approach, put off by his smile. The teeth he sported certainly seemed like they could be dangerous, and he himself was an odd presence, but his smile didn't seem sinister... She grounded her focus again and pondered his question.
"I know not why I am green, specifically," she admitted, then continued with more certainty to her tone, "but what you see is my spirit. You have one as well, but your body keeps it within you. I am dead, so my spirit is no longer contained." The light wafting from the gash on the side of her neck glowed faintly at the word 'dead', and she tipped her head away from it as though to display her fatal wound.

Centresus tilted his head as the girl leaned away. Was he making her uncomfortable somehow? That was usually the reason for one's body language changing as hers did, after all. Centreusus shifted his weight on his heels, increasing the distance between him and the other girl. He raised his eyebrows at her explanation, ears flicking in morbid interest as she exposed the wound on her neck. "Such a deep scratch for such a small girl. What is your name anyhow?"

Oh, right. She never had introduced herself in return. "Sorry," she said quickly. "I am Idina Doc. I was a healer in Wildgard not long ago. Am I right to assume you were killed in that same city?"

Both ears pricked at the city name, but Centreusus quelled his curiosity for the moment. "Pleasure to meet you, Miss Doc. I would shake your hand but, well, we both know how that would go." He chuckled before focussing back on the city Idina mentioned. "Actually, to be perfectly honest, I'm not dead, per se. Not quite sure whereabouts this Wildgard is either, does it happen to exist on this plane or another?"

Idina offered a smile at his comment about handshakes, though her expression grew more serious when he spoke of his current state. She hummed a note of thought before answering his question: "Wildgard is in the world of the living, in the western world. But tell me, if you are not dead, are you perhaps sleeping? Is that how you made your way here, perhaps?"

Centreusus thought for a moment. His tail twitched as he pondered the girl's words and how he could have ended up here. Flashes of red passed through his head, and his ears drooped, tail stilling against the ground. Home was far from reach now, and waking unfortunately would not fix the dream this time.
Centreusus smirked again, darker. "No dear, I'm not sleeping. I am fully alive too, as a healer can you not feel my beating heart?" He fluttered one hand jokingly against his chest.

"This is odd..." the girl muttered to herself. "I had come to this Plane while alive as well, but only when sleeping. If you are neither sleeping nor dead..." She shifted her weight to her left leg and placed one hand on her hip, pondering his words. Perhaps it would be best to search for more information. "Do you remember anything that happened before your arrival here? Anything at all? I am quite curious to hear anything you might have to say!"

Centreusus hummed again as he thought. "Perhaps I might be sleeping after all... You see, the last thing I can remember is getting kicked out of my home. It's entirely possible that I got knocked out in the process; that would also send me here, correct?" He rocked his weight back and forth, tilting his head and keeping his attention on the girl. "I may have, well, gotten into an altercation, for lack of a better term." He smirked, though the fur on his tail prickled and started to fluff up as he thought through the circumstances of his banishment.
