Name:
Jaden of Mara Villa
Species:
Maran Human (Spirit)
Company:
None
Class:
Warrior
Weapons:
Greatsword named 'The Jaded Prince', Throwing Axes
Story Plot:
Once a great king, Jaden of Mara Villa led his people out of dark times against the demon warlord S'argaarin, bringing about a new age of peace and prosperity for his empire. He spent his days governing his people alongside his husband, Faljere D'ael Elderbaden, until he died of old age. 500 years later, the ancient and good king wanders the marble halls of his afterlife fortress, doing his best to meet all those who have died to create new friendships that otherwise he would have never made in his own life. Still, he knows that something is certainly wrong with the amount of spirits entering the afterlife, and also spends a lot of his time looking into this mystery.
Physical Description:
Jaden is a tall and proud man, much like many other Marans. His thick, dark hair is pulled back and loose upon his neck. His tanned skin shows lines but not of age, while the rest of his face is concealed by a dark, well-groomed beard. Although he wears worry and solemnity upon his brow, he is a gentle and kind spirit who yearns for peace. Much like other spirits in the afterlife, his eyes and body radiate a colour to reflect his personality, his colour being magenta to represent nobility and honour with a strong sense of calm and caring.
Garb:
He generally is seen wearing his royal robes, which consist of a long, dark blue tunic, a red shirt underneath, and navy blue trousers tucked into shiny black boots. This getup also has a royal blue cloak with a black and white fur collar, connected by chain around the neck. In battle, he will swap out the royal robes for a sand-coloured surcoat and chainmail set, but will keep the cloak. When he goes casual, he wears a simple lace-up-neck shirt and brown trousers tucked over fur boots.
Motives:
Peace among all. He will figure out what has been killing people so quickly and often to keep peace in the living world.
Personal Motto:
Great men are forged in fire. It is the privilege of lesser men to light the flame.
History of Family:
His father was the emperor prior to him becoming such, and ruled with an iron fist, as most Maran emperors had done in the past. He was raised with an older sister and two younger brothers, and when they each came of age, they were sent away to govern their own capitals, with Jaden remaining to watch how his father reigned, as he was to be the emperor after him. In his time as emperor, only Jaden and his older sister Adrianna remained from the bloodline, as the middle child Christun had been discovered as a traitor and his youngest brother Novus had been murdered in a war against the Wild Men. Little is known about Jaden's nephew, who rose to the throne after Jaden's death, but it is known that the emperors after Jaden began behaving much like the kings of old had, and the empire became once again a conquering nation.
Role in Wildgard: Discover why spirits are coming back and why people are dying. Perhaps to see his husband once more.
