As the riders made their way into Wildgards boundaries, they hopped down from their mounts to cross the bridge, asking passers by where the SilverScale is. Making their way to the tavern to tie the mounts to the stalls and meet up with the head rider. Carrying the Greyfang banner, the two other riders draw their swords and the Greyfang insignia wooden shields off their backs. The man in front, tall and wearing heavy furs and a shield of his own that too bares the Greyfang insignia. All three riders dressed in furs and leathers to stave off the cold of their land. The two shorter men wearing leather helms and the taller man, a bears head. For all shifters in their lands wear the animal they truly are as a helm or armor some go as far as both. He was a Were-Bear, tall and strong, wielding a hammer in one hand and the shield in the other. He was a warden and general of the Greyfang army, who had risen in rank to Clan Greyfangs Húskarl. As the three made it to the door of the SilverScale, the head rider knocks on the wooden door. "We are riders of Clan Greyfang I am their Húskarl. I am Galmar Stormcaller! We have received word of our late Jarls death and wish to speak to Jarl Ashen!" Galmar shouts.

Hearing the shout from the front door of the Silver Scale, Aera frowned and opened her eyes. She had been sitting in the corner, trying and failing to meditate. She was still not used to the fact that her senses were heightened as a vampire. Distractions were far more difficult to tune out than they had been at one point.
Of course, it would only have been a matter of time before someone from Wulfric's home learned of his death. Standing, she walked to the door and opened it. "Hello," she greeted Galmar quietly, looking at the bear's head he wore.
She wasn't familiar with the titles of Húskarl and Jarl. But with the honourarium being applied to Wulfric and to Ashen, she could only assume it was the name for a leader of a group. She cleared her throat and continued speaking. "I'm afraid Ashen isn't here. She's had to leave to attend to other matters. Her son, Jay Windsong, is...Jarl," Aera explained, pausing slightly at the unfamiliar term, "In her absence."
Remembering Ashen's instruction to make sure that Jay stayed safe while she was gone, Aera paused for a second before continuing. "I could go and find Jay if you like. What do you wish to speak with him about?"
