A small figure fought against the wind to cross the open field. The dark blue cloak she wore rose behind her, showing the direction and strength of the wind as she clutched the front edges close to her body, desperate to claim any warmth it brought. A long haired dog loped along beside her, tall enough that its head reached midway up the young woman's thighs, perked ears swivelling around as it surveyed its surroundings with interest. The woman glanced down to the dog, a smile finding its way onto her face. The dog looked up to her and cocked its head as if to ask how much farther. She looked ahead with eyes that nearly matched the colour of her cloak, surveying the land herself. The buildings of Wildgard city lay in front of the pair, both familiar and different at the same time.
"We're almost there Haldis," she said, addressing the dog quietly, and its tail wagged. Their destination was on the edge of the city, not far away now at all. They came to the end of the field and were soon at the door of Dragon's Reach. Cyndra shook her head free of the hood, revealing her light brown curls and the small white flower that she pinned to the side with her bangs. A clover flower, like the ones that grew on the Lomash plains, and on the fields near her childhood home.
Taking a deep breath, she rapped on the door and stood patiently, waiting for someone to answer. She hoped it would be Thea to respond.... The Druid was really the only person that Cyndra still knew in Wildgard since recent events. Many rumours had reached Cyndra, thus her return, yet there was one her heart knew as true...
[OOC: I'm not really sure where Dragons Reach is so I tried to be vague about it/its surroundings]

Thea, who had been washing dishes while reciting spells in her head, heard the knock. "COME IN," she yelled, hoping whom ever it was heard. She put down her plates moving to the kitchen door to see who it was.

Come in. Alright then, she would. Just... after another deep breath and quick exhale.
Cyndra reached for a door knob or handle, but did not see one proper, so she pushed experimentally on the door itself. It swung inwards with the force she applied, and she stepped in. "Hello?" she called softly, stopping once she was indoors and waiting for someone to come into view.

Thea looked to the door. As if appearing from a dream Cyndra entered and Thea dropped the plate she had been holding. The druid rushed over and hugged the brunet healer. With so many of the old fort members gone, there were very few people left whom Thea trusted. "Cyndra! Its so lovely to see you! Where have you been? And who is this?" She gestured to the dog as she spoke.

Cyndra smiled, a little surprised at the relief she felt as Thea rushed over and gave her a hug. The brunette wrapped her arms gratefully around the Druid, realizing how much she had missed her friend. "I was with my cousin - he's engaged, quite exciting - and we were starting to plan for the wedding. And then my father sent for us, our old home was struck by a sickness. Hardly ever fatal, but most who contracted it could not work for weeks. There were only one or two ill yet when I left to return here, and they should be fine by now." Her cousin had stayed in the village besides, and his magical skills were far more advanced than her own.
A small, cool nose nudged her hand, as if aware that she was still a little concerned about her old home and neighbours. Cyndra smiled bigger, her eyes yet slightly sad. "This... This is Haldis. I found her outside the village, and she has followed me here. We mother each other it seems at times."

"Well hello there Haldis!" Dropping to her knees Thea pet the soft dog, she had always liked dogs. Then she looked towards her friend. "I'm sorry to hear about your village, is there anything I can do to help?" The wind blew softly across her hair moving it in font of her face.
