Story Plot: Born and raised in a small healers' village hidden in dense forest, Isador had never gained much in terms of wanderlust, and was perfectly content with staying where he grew up. One thing he did want, however, was a child and a family. This was a little bit of a problem, seeing as he not only rarely ever felt attracted to anyone, but those he found himself attracted to were of his same sex. Not one to be discouraged, at the age of twenty he grew close and intimate with a female healer of the village, Ivanna. The pair produced a child, a girl they named, Idina, and raised her together for a couple of years. However, Ivanna, incapable of tolerating living with someone who didn't love her, left her partner and child when the latter was old enough to not require her care. Thus, Isador was left to raise the girl alone.
His daughter grew to develop a sense of adventure that he had never had, and so he allowed Idina to wander the village and surrounding forest and plains as she pleased, so long as she returned by the end of the day and promised to share the details of her escapades. Every so often he would go with her into the woods and find a clearing to teach her various things that travelling scholars had taught him: reading and writing. He would also teach her in the arts of healing magic, prowess that he was born into and that he had passed down into Idina. It would be these lessons that began her thirst for knowledge.
When he was twenty-seven, Isador's beloved village fell into the path of an army on its way to war. Recognizing the advantage having healers on their own side and not their enemies' would grant, the party destroyed the village, kidnapping as many healers as they could get their hands on and burning the village to the ground. At the time, Idina had been out in the forest with some Kintu friends while Isador stayed home; he was among the war prisoners, and he could only hope that his daughter had managed to stay out of harm's way. For a little more than a year, Isador and the other kidnapped healers were treated little better than slaves, often only called upon after the sun went down without being allowed much to do in the meanwhile. When the war had finally ended - he never heard which side had gained the upper hand - his kidnappers came to the conclusion that their healers has outlived their usefulness. The few villagers that hadn't been killed in action and hadn't offed themselves were thus killed by having their skulls bashed.
It has been around twelve years since Isador was killed, and he currently resides in the afterlife. Every so often he has travelled to the Insubstantial Plane to meet with his daughter Idina while she dreams, although over the years these appearances have become less and less frequent. Still, he intends to watch over her from his position, waiting patiently to meet her again when the time is right.
Physical Description: A decently tall fellow, the top of Isador's head reaches 5'9". His ash blonde hair is worn long and down, and his face is dotted with freckles where these aren't obscured by a beard and moustache. His green eyes look tired and sad, and he sports a straight and slim nose. In the afterlife, his spirit glows brown on account of his down-to-earth, tolerant nature, and soft brown light emanates from his eyes and from a large gash on his forehead. The latter, however, is mostly obscured by his hair, although wafts of brown light still come through his locks.
Garb: Loose-fit brown shirt, tied at the collar with beige lacing; dark green harem pants. As a prisoner of war, he has added: beige bracers that reach from each wrist to each elbow, with pouches tied around them to hold medicinal supplies; brown fur-and-hide boots that reach mid-calf and are tied to his legs with beige lacing; a dark brown leather overshirt meant to function as bare-minimum chest and abdominal armour; a stone necklace, announcing his allegiance in war.
Motives: To exist peacefully in the afterlife, not seeking qualms with anyone, and hoping to reunite with his daughter someday.
Personal Motto: "All that has life ought to be cherished and respected, but the deeds one commits while given the gift of life do not always have to be."
History of Family: Ivanna Doc - sexual partner (temporary), status unknown. Idina Doc - daughter, deceased.
Role in Wildgard: To be announced.
