Lila nodded towards Ilea, slanting a narrow-eyed look at Aria. "Ilea is correct. I have already paid my respects, already said my last words. Besides, how dare tell me how I should pay my respects to my dead wife. I will say things if I wish to. Idina has already heard my apologizes, has already heard everything she needs to from me." She paused, not catching her earlier slip-up in calling Idina her wife, and turned to Ashen. "Thank you for accommodating her and assisting her soul. Your service is greatly appreciated and I am in your debt." Lila remained standing, gaze roaming across the gathered group.

Jay planted a kiss to his mother whispering a thanks to his mother before standing up and facing Aria. "As both Mrs Doc, and Ilea stated, Mrs Doc paid her respects, it may have been in private and we may not have heard her say those last words but is up to Mrs Doc to decide if she wants to repeat them in public. You may have your opinions about that which is fine but keep them to yourself." Jay said coolly as he would not stand for anyone berating Lila's choices today. He then turned to the rest of the group and continued speaking, "Mrs Doc was Idina's life mate, some of you may not understand that but any kintu in this group should, therefore I urge you not to get in Lila's way as she searches for the person who committed this crime. It is Mrs Doc's RIGHT as Idina's life mate to do this and I will not stand in her way."

Ilea snorted at Jay's response, not something she did quite often. She wanted to make a snide comment, but she tried to refrain herself. Mrs Doc? Last time Ilea checked the two hadn't been married. Even if there wasn't an official break up or anything, there had never been a wedding. Unless they'd done it in private? No, Idina surely would've mentioned something... Right? Ilea had considered Idina one of her best friends, but that wasn't saying all that much, honestly.
Finally, Ilea decided to speak up. "And when she finds Idina's murderer?"
"Don't," Aurelia said from behind her.
"Don't what?" Ilea snapped.
"Ilea, we are at a funeral for a friend, there is no need to start a fight." Aurelia tried to keep her calm.
"I'm not starting a fight, Aurelia!" Ilea spat back, although she kept her voice down. She knew most, if not everyone had their eyes on her now, if not were paying attention to her and her wife's little dispute. "I'm just curious," She turned back to face most others, her face heating up now.

"She burns him..." Stellio had returned into the building to see Idina's soul off. While outside he could still hear the conversations happening inside. "And she has every right to. I won't stand in your way Lila," he said now addressing her directly, "but I feel as if this is partially my fault. So if you could include me in any way, even if it's gathering wood for the fire, let me know. Please and thank you."

The white light was sent upwards, and Idina felt her heartstrings tug towards it. The two things that she could see clearly were her body, no longer heard, and her soul, rapidly flying away from her. Careful not to intercept any of the blurs of colour she could make out to be people, she jumped onto one to reach the other, floating with ease to catch up to the light, one hand stretched out as though she meant to pluck it out of the air.
Her fingers entwined with the wisps of light, and from there the soul came to swirl around her, both suspended in the air. She felt as though the light was being poured into her, the point of entry being the left side of her chest. The spirit felt as though she had been granted her emotions back, and she spun in the air gleefully.
She could now honestly say that she felt like herself again, although she felt uncomfortable in this world. Her belief had always been that the dead and the living weren't meant to walk on the same plane; she was the intruder here, and she needed to return. Jennis was waiting for her now. With a nod to the people down below her, she searched for a clear space to touch down so she could return to the Insubstantial Plane. Voices filled her head as she travelled, each voice a final send-off from a friend. Smiling to herself, she thought of responses for each, lamenting that she could not be heard.
*Thank you, Aria. I will miss you, too, Ilea. Thank you, Aurelia. I will look for her, Jay. Your words make me happy, Thea. At ease, Stelio.*
By then she had found a clear spot to stand, and as she turned once to return to where she now belonged, she thought finally, *I promise I will, Drogo.*

"I am aware the murderer needs vengeance thrust upon him, I am aware that we have differing opinions on respecting the dead and I too am angry. If you want to fight we can do that later." She returned Lila's glare briefly before continuing her speech. "However I am also aware that we are mourning a loved one." Aria stated. "That is why we are here and what we should be doing. We should celebrate her life and mourn her loss. We should be holding what we still have" Her grip around her husband tightened.
Although she wanted to fight at least one person in this room, and she wanted to eviscerate the man that killed Idina, she had enough respect for her not to do either of those things. At the moment anyways. "There will be a time for rage and for vengeance. There will be a time to argue amongst ourselves, but this is not that time. Even I can realize that." She looked at Jay as she finished her statement.
"Besides. Some weird thing is happening to Ashen and I believe she may need some help." She looked over at the black lines trailing across her body.

Idina would have been able to help. Stellio thought to himself. "I'd help, but there's not much I can do." Great, someone else I can't help. "But Aria's right, she looks like she could use a hand. Does anyone know release or other healing spells?"

He draped his arm over Aria’s shoulders, thankful for his friends and loved ones who were still alive and well. Though the sobering thought of life’s finiteness refused to leave. And just how delicate a life can be. He couldn’t fathom just how Lila must be feeling. Nothing less than what he felt fifty times over, and fifty times again.
Idina had done nothing wrong. And still she wound up dead. But why? The thought spun in his head. Try as he might, he couldn’t find a single reason for anyone to want her dead. Sadness was gradually pushed away, swallowed by fear.
There was no telling if The Raven would strike again. Who would be torn from our world next, and when? He knew life in Wildgard was dangerous, but for the first time in years, he felt truly unsafe in his new home, and the turmoil stirring in the Silver Scale was far from easing his concerns.

"Holding souls without doing harm to the Body puts a strain on me, I will be fine, once the darkness in my body settles and the balance of angelic will and dark prowess set." Ashen panted. "Doing this has...drained me for a few days, but it was well worth the cost. I'll be on my paws soon enough...jay...in a moment...could you guild me to my room, I still need a minute."
Still trying to regain her breath it was clear she was struggling to even breath properly. Sweat began to drop from her hairline as she rested. "I hope my final gift will help her" she spoke quietly, it would have been lucky if jay could hear her whisper.

His focus leaving the mourners the drows gaze settled onto Ashen who had slid to the ground. Moving faster than a walk, the drow swept out of the shadows, his cloak and cape billowing behind him. Face expressionless, the only emotion was in his eyes. Worry for his mate. Shouldering through the crowd he slipped down to one knee beside Ashen, hearing her quiet words with keen ears. "Are you going to be ok?" His voice was equally quiet as he settled an arm protectively around her.
Brows pulling together into a slight frown, he let his gaze flicker over the crowd before returning to the only person that mattered to him.

Ashen keep her brave face on as she saw fallen creep closer to her, though she remained brave. Thought she spoke the truth."no...I'm not" she said quitely she admitted, she could never lie to him.
"I am weak, very...tired.." She looked at him weakly, the black veins burning hot. "I wish to stay, but weakened... I'm a target." She raised her hand and placed it on his shoulder weakly.
