Jay knelt next to his mother, wrapping his arms around her offering her strength while looking at where Idina's soul was. "I'm sorry that I failed you Idina, more then once that day" he said quickly looking at Lila. "I hope you enjoy your afterlife, and if you happen to see Lidia there give her a hug and tell her I'm sorry for having to leave her there" he finished with tears in his eyes, though he stayed where he was, not willing to leave his mother's side.

"i...cant hold her much longer...this spell...strains every fiber of me..." Ashen tryed to focus on her words as they only came out in smalls gasps. letting her child give her his strength she leaned on him. the black veins growing more and more over her body, out weighting the silver runes. "say your piece so i may...deliver her properly...before my strength is gone..." Ashen continued to hold onto the soul, her body beginning to tremble, and shake from the strain.

With a solemn expression the drow watched the funeral happen from the shadows. Arms crossed to protect himself from the chill he lowered his eyes in respect. He never knew the girl. He didn't really even know most of the people gathered. But he recognized them. He recognized their faces, perhaps being able to place them with names. He realized then that it would make him sad, not seeing the face of the girl he'd recognized as Idina.
At the mournful confessions of her friends, he fell even further into shadow, considering leaving entirely. He'd never been to a true funeral before and the thick sadness in the air was making him uneasy. It suddenly occurred to him then that in his life he'd probably been the cause of hundreds of funerals, all probably equally sad. Letting out a breath he frowned. He wouldn't disturb them. He didn't know her after all.

Thea looked up for the first time. Idina's soul, gossip buddy, friend, sister she was all of these things. The druid walked forward, close to the soul and the body. Silent tears started coming forth, Thea tried to stop them but they would not yield. Despite the tears she spoke normally. "Idina, I wish you well. You will soon find yourself in a field of flowers, more then you could possibly know. I will remember you." Thea gestured around her, "we will all remember you." Thea stepped a bit closer, "if you see my family, please tell them I love them. Tell them I'm sorry." She whispered this so faintly that only Idina's spirit could hear it.... well if she was listening. Thea stepped back, returning to her spot. The druid's hands covered her face as silent tears assaulted her face.

Stellio walked up to the soul, up until now he'd been just waiting in the background, listening to what others had to say. But now he had to come forward, this might be the last thing Idina ever heard from him. "Idina," he started, his voice was shaking, "if you can hear me, I don't want you to be upset. It is but one persons fault that all this happened, and that person is not you. I swear, I will bring your murderer to justice, if it's the last thing I do. Good luck in the afterlife. May it treat you well, and may we meet again." With that, he walked out of the room, wiping the tears from his eyes. If Idina was listening, he didn't want her last memory of him to be him crying over her. He had to look strong, until he left the scale at which point he began to sob like a child.

Jay stiffened when he heard Stellio say that he would be the one who would bring her murderer to justice. Lila wasn't going to like that, even he himself only offered the caribou kinto resources, but to say that he was going to be the one to take down the person or thing that killed Idina... that's a no no.

Drogo gazed bewildered at the pure white light floating just above Idina’s corpse. He had never seen a soul manifested, nor did he ever believe it was possible, but this land had brought many changes to the beliefs he left home with. The white wisp seemed to dance gracefully in place, like a candle in a gentle breeze. Or was that his seventh drink talking..? This was it… This is what she has become. All of the joy and wonder she brought to the world, condensed into a single flickering light. “We will not be forgetting you, Idina-ka.” He hung his head under a heavy sigh, hoping to restore his composure. “You will make for beautiful star in the night sky.” He ground his teeth forcing a smile, but he wasn’t fooling anyone. “Shine on above us comrade, for all people to see!” He shouted, thrusting an empty fist skyward. He was nothing short of proud to have called her a friend in life, and godmother to his child soon to be. “IDINA!” he fell to his knees. “You will keep close watch on the little one, from all of the way there, da?” He stared wistfully for a moment more at the pulsing flame, shivering from the strain of holding back a torrent of wild emotion. Without another word, he slunk back into place next to Aria, and buried his face in his arms.

Ashen remained silent through the others words. Feeling her son stiffen to the word of the one named stellio. The black veins felt like acid course threw her blood. Her angelic side fighting the darkness now flowing threw her body.
Slowly her eyes shifted to everyone in the crowd, wishing they would hurry. At this rate, it would take a day for her to recover. She reminded herself that this was for Idina, anything to avoid the soul being out through fire. As her gaze continued to shift upon the sun lite faces, she saw her Life mate shrouded in shadows.
It was only because she knew what to look for that she was able to see him. He was talented in hiding, as assassins should. Slowly, her gaze moved to the soul, the pain almost unbearable. Gritting her teeth she continued to concentrate, the cold chill of the earth below her knee was the only thing keeping her body cool.

Lila watched impassively as the people around her shared their words to the glowing mass of Idina's soul, clasped in Ashen's hands. Her dry eyes remained fixed on the soul as she listened, ears remaining still and lax. She stiffened as she heard Stelleo speak, rage coursing through her. Lila's vision turned red with anger and her ears flicked back, pinned against her hair. She opened her mouth to speak, but Stelleo ran out before she could. She raised her eyes to the rest of the group, every line in her body stiff. "Next time any of you sees him, please let him know that he can try and find the killer if he likes, but he shall stay out of my way, or he will regret it." Lila snarled, her hand tightening against the sword at her hip.
A few deep breaths later and Lila looked through the group, before turning to Ashen. "I have no words for her that I haven't already said. Unless anyone else does, I think we are finished here."

Idina was dead.
That was the idea he couldn't seem to fathom.
That little girl, lost upon her arrival. When she lay outside his old library in the haunting chill of night. He invited her in, and he made her tea. She stayed in the library while he remained, and he never got to say farewell when she left.
When he left, it was with a heavy heart, and when he returned, it was with an empty one.
His eyes had grown glacial, void of the life they once held. His hair was only a symbol of his own self-loathing, his tattoos removed for the same emotion. And yet she saw through his disguise, his true feelings of pain and anguish obscured by a mask of violence and indifference to life and death. She found the true him under all of that wreckage. Not the one she'd known before, nor the ones she'd never truly seen, but the one that he was always meant to be. Somehow, she knew he'd come to that. The man he was supposed to be. He abused her, he hurt her, he manipulated her, and yet through all that turmoil, she remained by his side until the end.
To think that the girl was now dead made him sick to his stomach.
He didn't dare show his face, and so he remained hidden in the brush, caked in mud to hide his scent. He knew the Kintu among them were expert trackers based on smell alone, but Wood Elves of the Highlands knew how to make themselves disappear. His hair was lifted above his neck, not in the tail that he once wore, but not in the lank state that he had worn recently either. He wore only his trousers and boots, knowing that to wear the Celtic garb that presented her with so much turmoil would do no favours to her remembrance.
This was his fault.
It was the excursion to the Celtlands, where he hurt her for his own sake, that had made Lila worry. That's where their fighting began, and that's where their engagement ended. Idina must've been angry, or at least confused, to make such a mistake as to die, and had he not hurt her, had he truly been there for her, he might have been able to save her.
The elf shook his head, removing those thoughts from his mind. That was the sorrow speaking. His blade had pierced her, but it had also saved her. And she had saved him from himself, that much was true. It wasn't he who had sought her demise, nor was it him who had purportedly hung her in a tree in the Pan'Ti woods, mouth apart in a sinister smile.
That smile he knew all too well. Her death was a warning from the Raven. The dreaded rogue was here after all, and the presence of this Minister's church was no good sign, either. Perhaps the two were connected--no, they had to be. The Raven, all those years ago, stood for the Church of Her in the Elven Nation, and stood against the free people who wished to be separate from its tyranny.
The Minister of this church knew that. There was no way that the Raven and him weren't in league with one-another. After all this time, he'd manipulated another soul into his crude work, and it had cost the elf the life of his friend. His protector. His child.
Covering his tearful eyes, he slunk back into the shadows of the trees, not seen by anyone, not heard by anyone, not smelled by anyone.
The words of the 'False Monk', as named by his angel before becoming the Clanless, rung in his head. L'irith Iam-Lur Surnel D'il-Lar, and Arger Tillier. No last names were used in the guild.
Thinking, the monk added one last name to the list of those lost in Her name.
Idina Doc.
She trusted a man, and that man was a lie. That man came back, his lies leaking out. He tried to hide his lies, but she saw right through them. She saw the truth of his soul, and she helped free that soul. That soul bound by fear and worry to not be true to itself, using masks to cope with the feelings of loss, anger, and dread. Her healing hands brought out the truth of his soul, and that soul stood there when she no longer stood. When she needed him most, he returned. When he did, she did not. Her blood stained on the hands of another, along with his own blood. He'd used the mask to run from the stains, but no longer would he run. He was tired of running. Tired of hiding. The masks were gone, and his heart was restored.
Faljere D'ael Elderbaden, monk of the Circle, warrior of the Highlands, and friend to all, was once more.
And capturing the Raven was now more personal than ever.

A tight circle of leaves formed in the breeze within the outer reaches of the garden, spinning close to the ground for a moment or two. When the circle disbanded, the leaves carried on to wherever Nature meant to take them. The weather cared not for the funeral taking place; or perhaps it was mourning the loss of the girl as well. Nothing too remarkable from the point of view of the living. From a different perspective, however, a spirit had made its brief return to the world.
Her own funeral was taking place. That was a strange thought for Idina to process as she walked through the garden. Everything and everyone was blurred to her, although she could still make out who was who by height and hair colour. This point of view was the same as it was when she still walked this world, if ever she was struck by a blow that should have killed her: her spirit would wander a few paces from the body while it healed, the magic of the land healing wounds and restoring vigour. She could even see her body now, but she felt no internal tug towards it. Instead she felt drawn to Ashen - the purple hair made the panther Kinto distinct - and to the white magic that she was holding onto.
Her friends were here, though they would not see or hear her when she would give her final good-bye. So be it. At least she could say she was with them once more.

She wrapped her arm around her husband, who was still shaking lightly, holding him protectively. Although she was already distraught, she was angered now as well. The option to correct her hateful last words towards her fiancee and the caribou decided to mention the raven instead. She however said nothing simply staring at the soul. She would not feed into this rage. She wouldn't disrespect Idina in such a manner. At least that is what she told herself. But at the same time a new issue was brewing, that she had a party to take out the raven already getting together, and now Lila going off alone? A small healing caribou? She was certain that some terrible fate would befall her. And besides, it was horrendously selfish, not to mention foolish, to kill him herself, everyone wanted a hand in his demise.
She decided to speak anyway despite her better judgment. "Lila say something. You may never again get the chance to do it so do it now." her voice was low, not accusatory not cruel in nature, but stern.

"Leave her be," Ilea defended the Caribou Kinto. "Most of us have already had our time to confess in private, she even said so herself." Ilea wasn't all that fond of Lila's response either, but she had no reason to judge it at all. She felt she understood the other Kinto's pain. Is it because she had once lost someone she loved dearly? Perhaps, but even at that, it wasn't the same scenario at all.
Ilea had only caught bits and pieces of Lila's confession initially, or at least that's what she thought she heard when she discovered the dead body. The horrors played a bewildering flash back in her mind. The discovering of the body, Lila removing it from her place where she was crucified. Thea screaming in pain, Stellio on the ground, that bastardly Minister was even there. She wondered who called him over, most of the commotion didn't disturb others. It was like he had some knowledge already that Idina was dead. Ilea slouched her shoulders. She wasn't sure what to think anymore. All she knew was that she had to find out who the raven was before any other... Before he would be murdered mercilessly. That would just make his hunters on the same level, would it not?
"Ashen," Ilea then said. "I believe you may release her now." She looked around for confirmation from the others.

She looked over to Ashen and nodded. "It seems everyone has paid their respects, those that wish to at least." She looked down hiding a look of disdain, still bothered at the kintu's ungratefulness. Had she not known loss? How incredible must be to be able to say goodbye? Aria herself would have given everything to be able to do this with her mother. Regardless, the kintu seemed ready to start a fight and she was not prepared for that at the time.

Unable to hold it longer, sweat began to build on her brow. "I can't hold her now, I'm sure your words will be heard." Ashen stood slowly still trying to hold her composer, almost unable to do so.
Slowly she raised her Idina's soul above her head, as her silver hued wings stretched from her back. "Heaven take this blessed beginning, take her and protect her where we could not...where I could not. Her soul is pure...would make the angels above envious from it's purity...take her now...let her be free from the curtly of this world...be at peace...Idina...fighter of the dragons reach...beloved friend...beloved mate."
Ashen let loose Idina's soul as it slowly dispersed toward the heavens. Ashen consent ration finally broke as the soul finally dispersed. Falling down, she felt her back hit the stone alter Idina's body laid on. The black veins burned an ached as silver runes began to over lap them, hissing in pain ashen held onto her shoulders. "It's done..." She hissed in pain and out of breath..."it's done..."
