Aria was very happy to receive this gesture. She gently placed an arm around the womans shoulders in reciprocation.
"Yes, it will be dear. Unfortunately it will be."
After a short pause she continued.
"Life often has a way of sorting itself out though, and I believe that after a while's rest this should blow over. I mean, you two haven't fought before all of this, to my knowledge anyway. You two have a good bond, and I believe that when this passes it will grow stronger from the hardship."

She nuzzled her head into the crook of Aria's neck, comforted by the touch and the words. Indeed, she and her fiancée - was it even still right to call her that? - hadn't fought much before now. Bickered, sure, and sometimes one could be short with the other without meaning to be, but never a genuine fight. The past few weeks had been different in that aspect. Then again, what else about them hadn't been different?
"She made good points, though," the healer admitted. "I mean, I personally think I come to trust people more slowly than she implied, but... maybe I do trust too easily..." Despite herself, she managed to chuckle a little at s thought she just had, reminded of something by the feeling of the pouches that hung from her belt resting against her knee. "I do not trust the Minister, though, fear not."

"Perhaps there is some merit yes, but I believe the heat of the situation made her express things too harshly."
She wrapped her other arm around the woman, gently, almost cautiously. "You are very kind that is your strong point. This means you are trusting, you believe the best in people. It is a great virtue but it can get you into trouble sometimes. Especially with people who use that virtue for their own gain." She closed her eyes. "You are trusting and you are kind those go hand in hand. The problem is not that you trust, the problem is people use that trust to do shitty things."
"I believe this is what Lila could be worried about. And what I am worried about with the minister."

"Alright," the little blonde muttered, smiling into her friend's shoulder. "Alright." She pulled away a little, but didn't remove Aria's arms, so she could look at her expression. On Aria, there was concerned compassion, and that look filled Idina with a warm energy: *Of course you still have people who care about you. Of course this is not all your fault.* She herself managed a smile, reassured where a minute ago tears had threatened to flow.
Bringing her head back to the barbarian woman's shoulder, she sighed, her breath carrying a mix of emotions. "I shall just give her time, then," she decided, thinking out loud, "and see how we fare after that."

Aria patted her friend on the back softly. Grateful that her attempts at consolation had helped. "You know what they say, that time heals all wounds. Once the raven is actually identified and the minister stops creeping around, everyone will be in better spirits I assure you." She took another sip of her tea before returning her hand to its previous shoulder based position.
"This will all blow over and i'm sure you two will be able to patch things up."

One of Aria's phrases of comfort in particular caught Idina's attention. Had the Raven not been unmasked a few fays prior? Had those green tattoos not been revealed, clear as day on pale, sickly-looking skin? Hadn't everyone seen those green eyes, cold and maddened and pleading? Yet the lady had said "once the Raven is actually identified", which made the healer pause to think. She had never known Faljere to be a murderer or a criminal - the closest thing manifested in his identity of the Clanless, and he had made the differences clear then. So there was perhaps the possibility that he was innocent!
She did hear the rest of her friend's spiel, but that part in particular brought a twinkle to her eye once more. A sleepy smile on her face, she nodded. "I hope so," she added. "That would be lovely!"

"You seem tired, do you need to rest now dear?" She asked with a warm smile, tensions had dropped. Even if tomorrow things would be once again rough, for now things were calm. Tea was warm, the fire cast a orange glow and Idina seemed far better than when she arrived.
"I can get you some more bedding and show you where you can bed down if you'd like?"

It wasn't until the barbarian woman said the word "tired" that Idina realized just how much energy she was lacking. "Hmmmm," she hummed. "Yes. Yes, that sounds very good." Trying to look as awake and grateful as she could, she straightened her posture and looked her sister in the eyes. "Thank you so much for letting me stay here. And for the tea, and for the talk."

"It is no trouble at all dear, you are welcome to stay as long as you need to." She released her friend and stretched, she figured she should probably get back to bed as well, she needed all the rest she could get, she also needed to stop her husband from falling off the bed. Again. "Follow me, you can sleep in the living room, there's a nice bear pelt on the floor, its surprisingly comfortable!" she nabbed a pillow off of a nearby chair and stuck it under her arm, she grabbed a blanket too on her way to the living room.

When they reached the living room, Idina gently took the pillow from Aria's hold and walked into the middle of the room. Just as advertised, a bear pelt lay there, seemingly waiting for her. It wouldn't have surprised her one bit to learn that Aria herself had killed the beast and skinned it. For now, though, it was here, and it would serve nicely for a place to sleep.
She set the pillow down on the ground by the tail and flopped down. The fur under her and the blanket around her made for a very warm setup. "Thank you," she repeated, her words a little muffled by pillow and blanket as well as by fatigue, albeit no less grateful. "Thank you."
Everything would be okay soon, she was convinced of it.
