"You listen... to me." She tried to make herself sound stern, however, her voice wavered. She sighed and continued, "You, are very important to me. Many others here I would say go, investigate, get yourself killed it does not affect me." She shook her head. "You, do affect me. If something happened to you, if somebody, especially if he hurt you" She stopped, she felt that rage begin again. The thought of this suspicious new person, how he could so easily overpower her. It made her so deeply angry. "If he were to hurt you... I could never forgive myself for letting that happen." She scowled "and I would never forgive him either."

For a few long moments, Idina said nothing, struck dumb by what was just said.
*Of course she cares about you,* she thought. *She would not have made you godmother to her child if she did not trust and care about you.* And it was strangely a little comforting to have Aria chide her like this because she cared. It was the fact that she cared, however, that kept her silent for a little while even after getting over the initial shock. She had to say something else, she had to get her intentions across...
"Aria, what you have just told me about how you are feeling... That is likewise in me towards Lila." The healer brought her voice down and leaned in closer to her companion. "You saw, he used a charmed tongue to convince her to take a ring. And I need to know if this is going to affect her somehow." She swallowed hard and wrung her hands together, hoping to steady her nerves.

She sat for a second, thinking of what she would have done if the minister convinced Drogo to take a ring. Well, she would have ripped out the bastards' still beating heart and ripped it in half. But Idina, was not that kind of person. She rested one hand on the blanket in her lap, resting against her stomach, the other drummed absentmindedly on the table. After a pause she spoke, "I can understand why you would want to know. But can you not send someone else? If he charmed Lila to take a ring whats stopping him from doing that to you my dear?" She shuddered, shoving the thoughts of tragedy from her mind, forcing the rage back down her throat, swallowing hard she choked out "At least... take someone with you. do not be alone." She closed her eyes. "And if he dares hurt you, tell me." The hand on the table balled into a fist. She took a deep breath. "Trust me I will ensure he never hurts you again."

Her gaze flitted back and forth between her lap and her friend, though her head stayed up. "You must understand, Lila was scared, and she knew that she could send the wraiths away for a while if she could just see them. She already had reasons to take a ring, but I have none." The last word was almost spat out, spoken in fierce conviction.
With a sigh, though, Idina calmed herself and smiled up once again at Aria. "If it puts you at ease, know that I will never set foot within his church." The building's owner had nothing to do with that statement; she had avoided entering religious buildings all her life, for she never felt it would be right of her to do. "I will remain outside of the church, and that way I can be seen. And of course I will let you know if I get hurt, although I will not aim to get any more scars." She laughed good-naturedly at her final statement, hoping to lighten the mood.

A half smile crossed her lips at Idina's Blunt point. It made her more hopeful that she could hold up against the sinister minister. She moved her hand to rest with the other on her lap. "You must be strong. You must be brave and unwavering, as you are right now." She lifted her head. "Your plan to be outside the church is a good one. Make that a clear boundary to him. Make him know you wont buckle and carry that through." She looked the elegant healer in the eyes, noticing the fires in them that were just visible. She felt reassured that even though she was often timid, Idina may hold her own. Or so she desperately hoped.

"Fear not too much, my friend," Idina assured. "No matter what, no silver tongue of a stranger's can sway my morals. I shall not harm anyone, nor shall I enter his church." She paused for a moment, thinking, before a thought flashed through her mind. "How does this sound: should the Minister approach Lila or I for anything, the other shall be closeby. We can look out for one another that way!"
As soon as she said it, she became a little uncertain about that plan. Lila was exceptionally nervous these days, choosing to remain close to Idina as often as possible and not speaking to many others. Her mumblings were worrisome as well... The blonde began to wonder if being around the man who had given her that strange ring would be good for her mental well-being. In any case, however, she had to keep her close and help her feel safe. Perhaps that would mean she wouldn't be able to ask questions to the stranger often, but if it meant keeping Lila well, she could find other ways.
"Yes, I will keep Lila with me," she repeated, mostly to solidify it in her mind.

"Are you sure about bringing Lila?" She replied, hoping not to sound rude in that regard. She however remembered that Lila was afraid of her, and Drogo and most people actually and getting back close to that minister may be a questionable decision. "She was scared enough to take the ring what would stop her form doing it again?" She twirled the thread around one of her fingers absentmindedly. I know that you want to keep her safe. I understand that very well. But i'm not sure if its a good idea to bring her back to him."

Damn. Aria was thinking about this just as much as she was. "Yes," she said after hesitating, "you do raise a good point. I do wish to keep her with me, and I will for most of my time, but... Yes, that would not be a good idea..."
Idina began to fidget with the coin purse again. She had to think of something to say to reassure Aria: the exchange they'd been having was not for the sake of asking to do something about the rings, it had been to tell her of what she wanted to do. Even so, the barbarian woman would want someone to keep an eye on her, or else she would do it herself--
Oh!
"What if I brought someone from the Silver Scale with me?" she offered. "Ashen, Jay, any of them. Lila trusts them, so she will know I am in good hands. And besides that, anyone in the Scale would be able to keep Lila company as well!" In reality, she had no idea if she wanted to approach either individual about this idea when she wanted to put it into action, but it was something she was considering for now.

Aria thought for a moment, she knew of the scale and of Ashen ( who often treated her how she treats Idina) she trusted them and their abilities. She figured that idina may not take the advice but it was worth a shot. "I think, that is a sound plan. the members of the scale are trustworthy people, and they can fight." She remembered how Idina barely knew how to hold a dagger let alone use one.

Idina chuckled, a little flustered by the remark. "Yes, knowing how to fight is good," she agreed. "With someone from the Scale with me, you and anyone else can know that I have someone looking out for me." With a smile to her friend, she turned her hands, which she had placed in her lap, so her palms were up and gestures towards Aria. "So you can know that even when I am around his church, looking for what I want to know, you can be at ease."

She smiled at her friend, feeling relieved that she seemed to understand and ever so glad that she had heed her advice. "I only hound you like this because i care about you dear, I hope you know that." she explained, her features softening into a smile. "I only want you to be safe." She patted one of the healer's open hands.

"I know," she assured, nodding. Reaching a hand up to brush some hair out of her eyes, she added: "And I do appreciate it greatly."
She looked back over to the coinpurse Aria was having her repair, abandoned temporarily in the heat of the conversation, but yet the tear had nearly been fixed at that point. "Is there anything else you would like me to fix?" she asked, taking the little bag back in her hands.

"Hm" She looked at the blanket on her lap and unfolded it. It was an old quilt and many of the panels were falling off. She draped half of the blanket over Idinas lap and brought the basket of threads up to the table. "You can mend whichever squares are fraying if you'd like." She was glad they were getting off of the topic of the minister. Even though she had been the one to bring it up, she had grown tired of it. She began working again on her half of her quilt, ignoring the small stain of blood from when she pricked her finger.

"I can do that!" the freckled healer assured as she got to work. After a minute or so of making her own stitches, she began to notice Aria's progress was a little slower, and it was leaving rust stains behind... That was right! She's pricked her finger earlier! "Aria, do you need me to heal that?" she asked, holding out her right hand; the ring on that hand caught the light coming into the shop and shimmered with the action. Her first instinct was always to help and to heal.

She turned her head, slightly surprised. "Are you sure? its not that big of a deal really, just a prick." Like the minister she thought to herself and chuckled quietly. "im not sure it really needs to be healed. its almost stopped anyway." She shrugged, Aria, did not know shit about magic. She solved her issues through causing injuries, not healing them.
