Finally giving up on his mark to be left for another day, the drow had began wandering the woods lost in thought. There was soemthing he needed to do and finding a job was just a distraction. Something to keep him away from the tavern and the half-elf residing inside. Sighing, he pulled down his scarf and hood to the cool night air.
After his conversation with Ashen he was feeling better about it. He just wasn't sure what he was going to say...how was he even going to go about starting that conversation...? Drawing himself out of his thoughts, the assassin realized he wasn't far from the silver scale. Maybe he would talk with the kinto again. She gave good advice before. Maybe she could help again? It went against everything he stood for, asking for help, but things were changing. Things were different now...
Emerging from the woods, the drow blended with the dark until he stood on the front step. He brought a hand up to knock but stopped when he heard voices. They were muffled and quiet but his heightened elven senses allowed him to pick up the words just fine. Ashen and.....Allyn. Second nature and habit took over as he hovered and listened to the conversation....
Red eyes widened when he realized it was about him. She was upset because of what she'd said? Thinking back he did remember that she'd made that remark but hadn't thought anything of it. A lot of people took assassination work here and there. He didn't realize it was a big deal. He hadn't even thought anything of it. Obviously it meant a lot to her for for reason.
The next words caused his jaw to drop and brows to pull together. Twice his age? Now he felt like an idiot. All this time and she thought of him as a child. He was a child next to her. In fact, he was probably considered a child to his own race too. Ears burning, he almost turned away in embarrassment when it finally struck him what had just been said 'you love him and you know it'
Stilling completely, Fallen stood in shock, listening to the kinto's panicked denial. 'assassin past' 'age matters' 'robbing the cradle'. He was ok having things kept from him, by the gods he was guilty of doing the same but....What he heard hadn't made him feel happy. He wasn't sure what to feel. Except maybe the creeping guilt of eavesdropping.
Like a ghost, the drow slipped away from the door and back into the thick woods, disappearing into the darkness. She already thought he was mad at her. He hadn't been. Was he now? He wasn't sure. This had only given him a lot more things to think about and a lot more emotions to try and place.

Ashen darted up glaring at her sister again, who's favorite sport tonight seems to be pushing her buttons."how dare you bring him up Allynn! you know I cant talk about hi-" ashens words paused as she glanced at an open window. her entire face reddened as the caught Fallens scent.
"He was here..." she Whisper as her gaze slowly turned back to allynn. "Fallen was here..." her face becoming horror struck at the fear that Fallen had heard everything. Ashens chest felt like it was on fire, as she darted to the door flinging it open only to see a slight hint of a shadow blending in with the rest of the forest.
'SHIT! he did hear everything! I have to fix this!' without another thought Ashen bolted out the door transforming into her beast form and running toward Fallen scent. in her haste she felt a familiar weight on her back and pinching of her fur near her shoulders. however she kept running forward. 'I have to fix this...I messed up I have to fix this.'

Allynn held on for dear life as Ashen ran, following Fallen's scent. she had ridden ashen's back before while in her beast form, though never when she was this panicked. "ashen, don't charge in like a bull you're gonna chase him away." she hoped her words reached her sisters ears, the wind caused by the run was loud. Allynn ducked her head down and pressed her body as close as she could so the wind didn't rip her off of her sisters back.
she only hoped that they caught up to Fallen and that he didnt run. Ashen couldn't bear to lose anyone else.

Like a silent shadow, the drow was already a fair distance away from the silver scale when he heard his pursuer, crashing through the woods like a raving beast. Instinct and training taking over, the assassin began to run, all the while calculating his escape. He knew it was Ashen. It had to be. He also new that from the sound of the pursuer that she was probably in cat form, like the day he had fought Lin. Now THAT meant that she could outrun him.
Shifting course, the assassin ran up the side of the closest tree, catching the lowest branch in his gloved hands and vaulting himself up. Rather than turning and jumping to the next tree, he instead started climbing. Swinging and weaving as if climbing was second nature he quickly found himself at the very top. Only the did he teleport, hoping that the kinto would follow his scent up the tree before realizing he'd disappeared.
He needed time to gather his thoughts and emotions before he faced her. But yet again she was interfering. He knew that this was the way she was. But she also knew him. And she should realize that this was the way he was, preferring solitude and keeping his thoughts to himself. It occurred to him then that he was mad at her, meddling, lying and then chasing him down even though she knew who he was. Time was his friend and ally. It was what he needed and wasn't something she was giving.
Coming out of his teleport already running the drow vaulted up into another tree. This time he did keep moving, jumping from tree to tree, his light feet barely making a sound.

Listening to Allynns words, Ashen began to slow allowing her sister to climb on properly. keep close track of his scent. when suddenly it was gone! Ashen came to a sudden halt, dirt and pebbles building and flying from her paws as she skidded. arching her head up to keep allynn on her back. once she stopped she stood and began to sniff around. 'where did he go? did he teleport? is he ok? gods this is all my fault.'
As Ashen tried to regain his scent franticly she let out little, low growls. mimicking an animal in pain. after realising his scent was completely gone, he let out another low painful growl, much loader then the others, she wanted to keep running after him. she knew she would keep up with him. she also knew the last time she chased him, he disappeared for weeks.
with this thought her ears drooped low as did her tail and wings. breathing heavily she stared at the ground, she didn't know what to do. her legs where even shacking and she couldn't figure out why. she hated being a puppet to her own emotions. all she could do was stare at the ground, breathing heavily trying to regain her breath. little painful growls escaping once and a while as she tried to figure out what he next move was. she could let fallen go, possibly never come back. or she could peruse him, and possibly never come back. the last time she let someone go, she regretted it. however Fallen was a special case for once Ashen was stumped, panicked and scared.

Allynn had nearly flown off of Ashens back when she skidded to a halt but was glad when she finally stopped. She slid off Ashen's back and did her best to land gracefully on the ground. walking over to where Ashens head was and giving it a light hug she gently pulled up Ashen's head so she could look her in the eyes. "Ashen, you know how much i hate being a voice of reason, but i'm doing this anyways." she sighed slightly and the locked her eyes onto Ashen's. "you need to stop acting like a bull and start thinking like a cat." her voice was stern, when ashen got like this, and began charging headfirst their roles revered, Allynn was the one who became the teacher and Ashen was the one who became the student. it wasn't something Allynn liked, in fact she hated it, but for Ashen she would put up with things she hated.
"did you ever think that he may need some time to process what he heard? not everyone can survive on split second thoughts. people need time to think." she sighed again, this time because she hated bringing up memories. "do you remember back when i was younger? how you used to chase me relentlessly every time you believe i was upset with you? until the time i DID get upset? we didn't speak for months, even though we lived under the same roof. that could be what is happening now."
her voice was still stern though her tone also hinted at her worry for her sister. "you told me that you chased him before, and he didn't come back for weeks. yet he still came back. Ashen,he will come back, i may not know Fallen as well as you, if at all, but even the most skittish of creatures will lash out with deadly force when backed into a corner."
Allynn took a deep breath, her rant finally over, and flopped down on the ground, not caring for the twigs and leaves that burried themselved in her hair and stabbed her in the back. the scent of the forest relaxed her, reminding her of much simpler times. "Sister, you are exhausting."

Not even caring that the kinto had not yet tracked him, and even if she hadn't, the drow continued running. Vaulting and swinging and running along branches, he made good time. It was like he was born to do this; lean, agile and quick. His sure feet landing every jump.
He had teleported from the pando into pan'ti and he was willing to teleport again. He could do it twice now and if he waited a couple hours twice again. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that though. But he was trying to be realistic. He'd never been followed by someone who could track by scent before. If he had he would be dead or captured long ago. It was infuriating really, negating most of his regular tactics. He couldn't blend or hop shadows. He couldn't even hide. All he had at his disposal was his ability to disappear into thin air and run. At least he was good at both of them by now.
Now a good few yards away from where he'd come out of his teleport, the assassin kept going. He would probably keep going the rest of the night until he was one hundred percent sure he wasn't going to be found until he stopped to think about everything he'd heard. If he let his thoughts wander now he'd risk faltering in either his footing or his speed.

Ashen slowly raised her head after watching Allynn lay there, And thanks to Allynn's rant she was thinking somewhat clearly again. however, her gut kept feeling the need to check if he was alright. slowly Ashen form changed from beast to a cat like version of Ashen. a form she hadn't taken in a while.
"Allynn...I need to know if he is ok, that's it. I can leave him alone after that. im sorry can you get back to the house?" She looked back at Allynn, as her wings stretch far get ready to take flight. as her sister reassured her, Ashen began to run again, this time after a few large passes she pushed with her wings, taking flight. Thanks to Dreth, and Gil she was able to being flying. she rose higher and higher, crashing threw the tree tops until she was above the trees. she stayed in place for a moment as she utter words under her breath. her eyes glowed green as she looked around, sure enough she was right, Fallen had teleported. with her little episode, he had gotten a good head start.
"lets see how fast I can go in the air..." still with slight trouble Ashen managed to angle herself toward Pan'ti and flew from the air following a faint line of twisted shadow one would leave when teleporting. she quickly gained, and keeping high up she knew she looked like a large bird, and the sound of her wings couldn't be heard. soon she could see fallen leaping from branch to branch in the tree tops. as her eyes returned to normal, she pondered how she was going to do this. she could freeze him and ask her question, but he would probably teleport again. she could swoop down beside him but again he would teleport. 'wait, swoop. it would probably make him more angry, but I need to know ill gladly set him down and leave him alone as long as he would like after. ill even tell him that' she thought....here goes nothing
Ashen held her breath and dove. keeping her wings somewhat open to create drag so when she grabbed Fallen, she wouldn't hurt him. closer and closer she until she felt his armor, wrapping her arms around him she moved her wings and shot straight up again. quickly she raise until the air grew cold. "Fallen before to yell or teleport or anything, I swear to whatever gods you believe in I have twos questions, ill answer any you have whenever and ill leave you alone for whoever long you like. I just NEED to know these two things. I swear, I promise ill leave you alone after okay?" Ashen looked at Fallen as she floated holding onto him. with how she grabbed him he was higher then her. her eyes where pledging, full of fear and worry. she didn't want to do this far, she couldn't think of any other way to talk to him.
"I promise just Answer these two questions and ill leave. ill let you down and ill leave. please?"

Allynn watched her sister fly off and sighed. emotions were troublesome, as were her sisters actions, that she knew very well.
she debated on heading home. she wanted to, but she also wanted to stay in the outdoors. since her revival Allynn had felt somewhat lost, her purpose gone, the scale was growing, new members were coming and going constantly bringing information with them. maybe she would spend the night out under the stars, clear her mind of the emotions that she was still so unused to.

Thinking that the kinto probably hadn't tracked him after all, the drow had just started to relax when something collided with him. Losing his balance, he at first thought he was going to pitch forward and out of the tree, but to his surprise instead of down he went up. All thoughts of struggle vanished for a moment when he realized how very fast and far up he'd went.
Glancing up, his heart leapt up into his throat when he realized it was Ashen, causing his whole body to tense in anger and confusion. He clenched his fists and narrowed his eyes, throat constricting. How many lies had she told him? Her age? Her past? Her flight? Everything about herself? Was she even a scout? He had told her everything about himself; everything that he had kept locked away for his own protection and it turned out he didn't know a thing about her. So much for trusting someone. He had been right for all those years, he was better off alone.
Wanting to rather fall than continue being held by her, the drow twisted, kicking the air. "What good is your promise when you've only ever lied to me? Let me down." His voice was dark and angry, nothing like is regular self. He had reverted back to who he'd been, the hard, cold, emotionless killer. "now."

Ashen swallowed the fear that grew in her throat because of his voice. it was the same Dark, angry voice her mother used. "TRUTH, can I lie to you? no because lying to you is killing me, and honestly I would be in my room bawling right now if Dreth and Gil didn't teach me how to fly two weeks ago so I could keep up with you. hell I still cant in beast form, only in this form" as she spoke her hand glowed green, Green wisp like energy swirl around her mouth as she spoke. Ashen Casted the truth spell on herself to show Fallen, she truly couldn't lie to him anymore. Ashen she did this, she did listen to his words and descended slowly. "im not used to weight yet, I actually hurt my left wing getting you. im sorry I cant dive I am bringing you down as safe as I can, if the weight keeps changing we will fall. even if you teleport I will still fall from the sudden change. please stop kicking..." tears welling up yet again as Ashen looked away. her left wing working much harder then her right, as she grimaced in slight pain.
"fine I have once question, seeing how one is already answered for me. Will you come back? its a stupid as hell question right now...but its that was all I needed to know. I have lost so much in the past, im sorry I need to know if you will return or not. if not I wont even be in Wildgard anymore. ill pack up and leave because I cant take this anymore." he voice almost mimicked his coldness 'why am I giving up so easy this isn't me. I don't even care anymore...'
"I have only ever lied to you that one day, when you lied to me also. I wanted to correct everything that night but you needed help with kell, I put my selfishness aside to help you. do you know how badly I have wanted to tell you everything?!I know lying makes you angry and im scared to death you wont want to be around because I haven't had the chance to tell you anything, because YOU run off. because Something always has to get in the way. I wasn't lieing that day before you saw Kell, when I said if it wherent FOR you I would be dead right now. ever sense that day I wanted to tell you EVERYTHING, I wanted to tell you that yes im 26, but in cat years. that im actually 124 soon to been 125, I wanted to tell you I was once an assassin like you, the only difference it wasn't your mother beating you into a weapon. it wasn't a bear that made mother rabid, she was just crazy. and one day I snapped, and killed her. like you killing your masters I killed mine. that's it, that's everything. everything else we ever shared I know I was telling the truth. and if you truly don't believe me then I have a job for you...and if you wont do it, ill get another Assassin to do it." Ashen said bitterly in the end. after her rant she could see the ground getting closer slowly. only a few more moments and she would be earth found again for the next little while.

The assassin listened in silence, jaw clenched so tight it hurt and nails digging into his palms. Had he not been wearing gloves he would have drawn blood.
So now she was turning it around on him? She hadn't told him the truth because he'd ran, because he'd been dealing with his own shit? Stuff he'd never wanted her to interfere with. He'd never asked for her help. She had volunteered it, even forced it on him when he hadn't wanted it. Now she was trying to threaten him with her life?
He was mad. Fuming mad and all he wanted to do was let her have it. But despite everything there was a flicker of worry that she would do something stupid if he did. Or he could just say it all so she wouldn't understand. If he didn't get it off his chest it would probably kill him. With an angry shout he suddenly let out an angry rant entirely in drow. "You would threaten me with your life like I'm the only one who matters, you stupid selfish woman. You say you've lost so much in the past yet you'd leave everything and everyone you have because of one man. You call me the child! You can't take this anymore? You're giving up on everything because of what, because of me? A man you barely see or understand who's so fucked up he doesn't know how to feel and needs to sit alone for days to sort out emotions? or maybe you're transferring all of you issues onto me like I'm some kind of savior. Either fucking way you need to smarten up. You should know what I'm like, by the gods I've told you almost everything about me. You know how I am and you know how I operate but you don't let me! Then you ask me if I'm going to come back when you haven't fucking given me the chance to even think about things. This whole thing could have been avoided but it seems you have trust issues just as badly as I do. Live your damned life and stop taking me so seriously."
Breathing hard, he finally stopped to catch his breath before continuing in English. "I don't know what you expect from me, immediate forgiveness? You know how I am with time and despite how many times I tell you, you don't seem to get it."

Ashen remained silent and she listened, as tear poured from her eyes. she was truly done, she had made a whole mess of things because of how she worked, something he need quite seem to understand himself. Constantly not knowing drove her mad, to the point she would act as recklessly as she did today. finally her feet touched the ground and she set fallen down, removing herself as soon as his feet met with the ground.
with quite and almost lifeless words she spoke looking at the ground. "im sorry" 'I do know how you operate, and I appreciate all that you have done. but perhaps its you who doesn't understand, I am sorry for being horrible teacher, and friend.' she thought, her mind buzzing with everything she wanted to say but her mouth wouldn't work. she literally felt shattered inside, this pain felt worse then when she found Aldwin dead. her face never even showed signs of pain as her left wing hanged lower then her right. 'come on...say something, do something!'
Ashen's body still refused to move, or even cooperate, all she managed to do was take a two steps away from fallen.

At the moment his feet touched the ground, the assassin stepped forward with every intention to leave. He wasn't sure what made him glance back, stoney faced. But the look on Ashens face stopped him in his tracks. If there was any sincerity in the words it was held within her current expression.
Guilt struck him in the heart like a knife, overriding the still present anger. As much as he wanted to disappear... to be alone and think, he couldn't leave her like this. With his back turned to her he looked at the ground for a moment before turning swiftly and punching the nearest tree as hard as he could with his right hand, letting out a shout of pain an anger. The impact was so hard he could actually feel exactly which bones in his hand broke. But it didn't matter. He used the pain, focusing in on it to reset his current emotions and erase the anger.
Lowering his hand from the tree, he stood for a moment taking a couple breaths before turning, head down and closing the distance between them. Wordlessly, he pulled the kinto into a gentle hug before speaking quietly. "I don't think you could find a pair of more messed up people in this town."

Ashen didn't raise her head when the Drow shouted in anger and pain from punching the tree, only shifted her eyes to see if she was his next target. she wondered if his hand was hurt, watching the tree shake as a few lose leaves fell. he was strong, stronger then she thought.
her mind raced as he stood there, still trying to say or do something she remained still. only shifting her eyes when he turned around. Panic began to waste over her. did she truly go to far? was it her turn to feel his anger? she knew she deserved it. after all that's how her mother, and Allynn would let her know she did something wrong. only her mother was worse, it was never just one.
As Fallen began closer and closer she readied for impact, doing as she normally did and convinced herself that pain was only temporary, and it would go away soon. She looked at Fallen's hand as it got closer to her, closing her eyes even holding her breath, as she braced herself. would he hit her? slap her? punch her? she didn't know. it felt like years before any contact was made, compared to how fast her mind was working. Finally she felt him grab her arm, this was it. 'remember its only temporary.'
What happened next ashen thought would never happen, especially under the circumstances. she felt Fallens arms around her, all she could do in that moment was stand there. completely shocked and dumbfounded. 'h-he's...hugging me? why? I don't deserve this! why?' she questioned over and over in her mind. only to be brought back by his quite words. her breathing hitched as tears began to fall again, slowly she rested her forehead on his shoulder, slowly bringing her arms up resting her hands on his back. "no...probably not...im sorry" she spoke as quietly as him.
After a silent moment, she started chanting the heal spell. channeling it to Fallen's whole body, if there where any injuries besides his hand, they where gone. she tried her best to master healing with nature ever sense she was a kitten, and even grew close to the lady in white's healing. almost. "im sorry, im so sorry." she spoke softly again. not daring to raise her head, or even look at him.
