Water sprayed over the rails of the massive crimson-coloured ship. It's black sails pushed the ship forward in a graceful trek towards the mainland. Its three-pronged ram dug deep beneath the surface waters. The Devil's Whore, (pardon my french :3) one of the mightiest ships on the seas, sailing from the Caribbean Sea, slowly ground towards the continent of Wildgard. The eyes of the Captain at the helm, Johnathan Arnason, were filled with delight and wonder. He had heard that this land carried massive amounts of riches and potential for any Pirate. He brushed his goatee as the sun beat down on his neck and his hand clutched the wheel. "It's time for a new adventure..." He thought to himself as the wind whipped his ponytail and brushed his sideburns.
There's a new Captain in town...

From across the bay's port, Lianis could easily tell that there was a ship inbound. New, yes. Big, no doubt. Threatening...
Possibly.
He rallied his crew and boarded their own white-painted ship 'La Mordeur de la Glace' and prepared all they would need to intercept this one. He tightened the woollen band around his right eye and ran his hand over his nearly-shaven head. If this ship weren't careful, his crew would take it down.
If not, then he'd never find his old captain again.
He shook the thought away and drew his hook from his back.
"Don't do anything, crew, until they do." He orderer.

John saw the white ship quickly come into view. He looked through his spyglass and saw the vessel in greater detail. A thick fog hung in the air as night settled on the southern coast and because of this, he could not see the ship's flag. "Dammit..." He cursed. "Put up the Civilian flag! Down our Jolly Roger! We do not know their allegiance! Load the Cannons and stay on course! Use caution!" He hollered to his crew. He was or tried to be friends with all Pirates. The English was a neutral force, same with the Portuguese, African, and French. He never met a Chinese man. The Spanish, he despised and only wanted to see them all die, for the vengeance of his father and his once quartermaster, Chidi Ibrahama. "Haul in the ropes!" He shouted as the Man O' War slowly ground to a slower pace. As the white ship slowly came into greater detail, butterflies churned in his stomach like an angry swarm of bees. He hoped they would be allies, but was ready for if they were enemies.

The great crimson ship came into greater detail for Lianis to see with his good eye that their flag was a civilian flag. But what was a civilian ship doing out here at this time? As far as the African pirate captain was concerned, there weren't supposed to be any ships expected today. It was a mystery indeed, but to go at it completely without context would be stupider than trying to train a hyena to sing.
"Bring us in close to that ship." He called out to his first mate. He sheathed his hook and swung down the ropes he was hanging off of.
Once they were in close enough, Lianis was able to call out and hopefully have them hear him.
"I am Captain Lianis of 'La Mordeur de la Glace'. You are entering a privately owned port. We are going to need to board your ship." He called out, hoping his accent wouldn't muddle some of his words.

The cry was heard by Johnathan's ears. He looked to their flag, which came into much more detail. He made out a Black flag with a skull speared by a trident on it. A Jolly Roger. They were Pirates as well! He smiled. "Just give us a little bit first! I wouldn't want a new friend O' mine to get the wrong message!" He shouted gleefully. He beckoned a crew member to come to him. "Yes, sir?" "Unload the Cannons of their shots and raise our Jolly Roger. I myself shall prepare a peace offering." "This seems mad, but right away sir!" The Pirate said as he ran down the steps and into the underbelly of their ship. Johnathan went to his quarters. From his personal pantry, he pulled out a bottle of red wine and a wheel of blue cheese. He was naturally the kind of man who wanted to forge allies. By the time he stepped out, the crew had already raised their own colours. The White Boat threw three hooks on their railing and pulled the massive ship in. John told his crew to let them. Lianis swung by a rope onto the deck of their ship. "Here you are, friend. Gifts from the Caribbean sea! From one Captain to the next! We have sailed long to land on the shores of this country. We have came because we had heard this land is ripe with riches and adventure, and naturally, we couldn't resist." He said with a smile. He handed the bottle of wine to Lianis. Lianis couldn't stop looking at the Anchor-Shaped scar on the back of his right hand. Lianis got an off vibe coming from only that scar. The man, however, he trusted his face. He slowly reached for the bottle. "C'mon! I won't bite!" John said. "Thank you for the offering..." Lianis replied. After they formally introduced themselves, the two of them shared stories as they drank and ate cheese. Lianis felt moved from John's story, and John also felt a little compelled from Lianis' tale...

As Lianis boarded the Norse man's ship, he gave a quick wave to his crew. They were notorious for following him, even when it was business between two captain and not two crews.
He accepted the drink from John with hesitance, but upon taking the first guzzle, he instantly grew to trust the man. He was led around the ship to the Captain's quarters and they sat and talked. Lianis found John's story quite enthralling, and the same went for the other man. The tale of the orphan who was taken in by a friendly drunken captain and five years later became that Captain's replacement always struck a chord with the more empathetic people he met.
Lianis rubbed his hand along the back of his head as he took another guzzle. "Got any apples? Those temperate fruits are my favourite."
He waited for a moment, and then sat forwards. "I'm glad I met another pirate. Do you happen to know if Lukis Vinterheim is here? My old Captain?"

"Apples, we've got lad..." John said as he dug through is pantry. He took out two shiny red apples for Lianis and a Coconut for himself. With one good strike from the picked end of his boarding axe, John punched a small hole in the Coconut. He sipped on the juices as he sheathed the axe and pondered about Lianis' question. "Another Captain? Aye, all we've seen from Nassau to here are lonely Imperial Frigates paroling the waters like it's their damn birthright... But any Pirates? Only a few in Cape Town, South Africa, but I doubt any you've encountered before..." John replied. Lianis' heart sank a bit. "So, if you own that port over there, how much to pay for a dock? My crew needs to get on land soon. Nearly half of the buggers are seasick! It's expected after you've got thrown about by a Hurricane on the way here..." John told Lianis. "You got hit by a storm?" "Aye. A big mother, too. She nearly ripped the Ship apart, an' put her back together inside-out, upside-down in the waves! We would have sunk if it weren't for me. That just goes to show you the horrors of the sea and sky..." "So that's what that was..." Lianis said as he remembered the day he saw dark gloomy clouds on the horizon to the southwestern sky. It was around two days ago when he saw the unholy storm start to brew. It was so violent, he could see the storms lightning light up the night on that day! It bathed the sky in an godlike neon purple light as the storm boomed on. For him to believe John sailed through THAT was astounding to hear. He thought about how much it would cost John to stay at the port, and he responded...

(Sorry, didn't get to log onto my regular account)
Anywho, just an RP tip: it'd be wise not to write what your partner is thinking or has experienced, because usually, they have their own stories to tell.
Also, Lianis, you still have to start that thread up for us.
Anywho, keep at it, lads.
