Story Plot: Pre Hatch - Helen’s egg was laid approximately a year before the fall of Babylon (in 484 BCE). At the fall of the great city (in 485 BCE, the city was destroyed by Xerxes of Persia) the egg was to be taken out of the city and kept in hiding. Sadly the carrier was killed and Helen’s egg, mistaken for a stone, was carried off by the enemy. The Persian army however did not know that it was an egg and instead thought it was a very precious stone. The egg was then traded away a number of times (Helen was able to understand and learn from inside her egg, this allowed her to learn about trade, money, and different environment. This way she also learned about cultures, and developed a strong connection to Greece. The trade took place in the Middle East and the Mediterranean until about 70 CE, when the egg spent its time in the city of Pompeii.
Helen’s egg survived the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. The heat and cooling from the debris started the final stages in the maturing process. Helen hatched in the year 100 CE and tunneled out of Pompeii through holes in the ash.
After hatching she spent a great deal of time in her human and cat forms. Helen scavenged for the first 4 years of her life, then when she was able to fly in her dragon form she went to Greece. (this is where she first used the name Helen, inspired by Helen of Troy). In Athens, Helen quickly learned that her human form, with her blue hair was feared. Both humans and kintu tried to kill her over these years. This meant that she was never taken in by anyone, instead resorting to stealing and scavenging for food. Helen spent most of these years in her cat form, because it was more accepted and on occasion fed. After about 100-110 years she traveled out of Greece to many places in the Middle East and Mediterranean where her egg had been taken. In these different places she learned more and more about the world. Even though she was peaceful and traveled without harming anyone, she was still attacked. When Helen determined that she wouldn’t be able to stay in this area of the world, she started traveling north.
