Has fur legs and forearms, and a brown Leather satchel attached to belt.
Motives: Much like Ripclaw's Counterpart Gypsius, Rachel is always capable of finding time to forrage and stuff her face. It is important for her to gather food and supplies ("Supplies" being anything she can get her paws on, that she thinks might be useful later), HOWEVER, the only difference- is that Ripclaw doesn't care HOW she comes across her food/supplies/resources. Gypsius is all about making friends and sharing. Ripclaw will operate with little to no speaking, very quietly and skillfully. She has the Inate ability to sneak and will use it to her advantage almost indefinitely. She answers to no one, trusts no one, and can be utterly Selfish, again, the only exception to that rule, is family and close friends. Example: Gypsius and Mairyl. Most Rodents fall under this catagory as well.
She tends to be slightly more trusting if you have fur, but hates all those that are Human by nature or by appearance. Very rarely otherwise. Ripclaw believes whole-heartedly that she is alone. Other than immediate family, no one is worthy of living or even dying beside her When it comes down to it.
Personal Motto: "When the plague of Rats come, you will all die, and only I will be left to feast on your remains."
History of the Muridae Family: Ripclaw grew up much slower than Gypsius whom is mainly human. Both her parents were Rat Kintu and she had several dozen Siblings in her home forest. She is very used to having large numbers of people with her at all times, not only rats but those of the entire Muridae species ( Rats, Mice, Gerbils). Hence her surname, the Forest she came from named thier families after the traditional names of the species. Being a part of such a large family, Young Rats have an accelerated youth in comparison to humans. Most of the early years of a rat's life are purely survival of the fittest. Most Rattus are in constant competition for food and will not hesitate to fight and win by whatever means possible. Those Rattus that survive past the first 6 weeks hit Puberty, and become mature at 6 months. Roughly, each month of a rat's life is about 2 and a half Human years. However, because the Kintu Rats are Humans that mastered the ability to shapeshift- they have extended lives balancing somewhere between human and rat lifespans.
Skirits- Because ripclaw is not in any way Human, she has retained most if not all of the Skirit Savagery. She has learned very little of the Human ways which unfortunately includes Humility, Kindness, Respect, Trust, Caution and Civil Behavior. Skirits were evil by nature that were foul, crude, and unhygenic. For many thousands of years they maintained the mannerisms of Barbarians "Every Rat for themselves."
The Kintu/Human Wars nearly wiped out her entire Mischief, and to better defend themselves, the Muridae split into smaller swarm hordes and spread out. The reasoning behind this, the Elders of the Muridae tribe wanted to give the humans a smaller target to locate, but what really happened in the end was that the Humans took apart the clan peice by peice and almost exterminated them entiely.
Gypsius and Most other young Rattus (Aside from the "Truly wild" Skirits) in thier maturing years adopted a more civilized outlook. The remainder of the Muridae clan Abandoned thier "Everyone for themselves" Tactic and banded together for survival. They forraged in swarms and became accustomed to storing food and goods to share with those who need it most. Most able bodied rattus took up a skill in some form of fighting, and others became Scouts and were in charge of keeping the Swarms safe from Intruders.
Ripclaw's distrust and distaste only grew like a bog in her heart, covering every inch of whatever humanity she had once. The Name "Rachel" was her Mother's Human name, Gypsius thought that Ripclaw should keep it to remind her of the human side she had somewhere deep inside. Ripclaw doesn't allow anyone to call her Rachel until they have proven themselves to be friends of the Muridae, even then she dislikes the name for it's informality. And feels as though it represents a lie to who she is. She follows Gypsius around and defends her with every ounce of courage and power she posseses, the first reason for that is because she views her young cousin to be smaller, weaker and more hopeless. But the second reason is because unlike Ripclaw, Gypsius had learned to heal from the Rat Elders and ripclaw knew that skill was greatly valued to revive the Mischief. She would give her life to save Gypsius if she knew there was a chance her novice healing skills could do some good for the Rat Kin.
Role in Wildgard: Rachel had always Lived in the Forests with the other Skirit and Kintu Rats. When the Humans and invaders came, they leveled the forest with thier battle field and killed out alot of Rats, Rachel was furious and has been looking for reasons to Fight the Humans, banking on revenge. However, Gypsius has a tendancy to befriend Kintu and Humans alike when it comes to where the better resources are available. Rachel has been tamed by hesitance and trusts Gypsy's judgement. She Follows Gypsius on her quest to gather the Scattered Muridae.
