Xaen looked amused.
'Most people fear death, regardless of what form it is. They fear to see, hear, smell or touch it hence my isolation. I am used to the shrieks, and screams of the locals; even when I had traveled. Only problem that was difficult was when peasants would chase me with their torches.'
A faint disgruntled sound rumbled in her throat. 'Hacking and cleaving is fine, I just pretend for them to fall over and die; more or less just laying there pretending I'm dead when in reality I would just get up and move on.. but fire is more difficult. I'd prefer to have what fur I have, rather than look like most undead even.. skeletons entirely.'
She'd presume most people never really took into care what or how the undead would prefer to look when it came to mortal instinct hate and fear. Perhaps this information was if anything but irrelevant to those. Than again it would be useful.
Xaen wasn't too sure; it was like a blink of the eye for her mortal life. It was difficult to remember how one felt or thought back then, even her motives. However old habits never really went away; she realized this as she watched the female from the table finishing her food.
It seemed so easy and mostly ignored but the feeling was still there for her. The sensation of taste and of fulfillment.

"Yes, most people are afraid of death. They seem to think if they keep away from that what death has touched, maybe they can stay death from themselves." Kasu muses, "But that is not so. The way to not fear death and it's touch is to accept that at anytime it may come for you. Accept our place in life. I, myself, have been trained in three different religions. Have become a 'priest' of each. So I do have a different outlook then many."
"You do seem to take in stride all that has come. I am sure it was not so when it first happened, but your spirit seems well, and you haven't become what people think you are." Kasu says looking into her cold eyes.

Xaen mused, it was true most mortals did fear it, though it was an understandable fear. Life was so fleeting, and it is.However it was hard to fully accept the fate destined for each mortal, the end of their life whether it came quick or slow it was still hard to let those memories, those fleeting minutes of one's last breath. That is where she had found in most people, fight the hardest. When they refuse to let go.
It amazed her in some aspects.
She tilted her head at this Kasu. To having the time and patience to train in three separate priesthoods, to be open-minded and trying to achieve that was...spectacular.
'Be proud of what you have achieved, not many can claim such high events in one's life.'
A genuine smile touched her features. It was something that amazed her, and very little did now a-days.
'It would be difficult not to come to peace in what years I had, it is hard but when you have an eternity to live; time washes away old wounds. When I was first cursed, yes it was horrific; even I thought this was a nightmare but I cannot say that most would react the same way.'
Though her eyes may have seemed cold, she was knowledgable to most mortals, and at best times would avoid them for their own inner fears would surface. Even if she had done no harm.

Xaen watched Kasu for a time being. Was it faint jealousy or mild irritation that he was able to rest? Whatever it was she stifled the thought and nodded gently. Bidding this new person well. 'I hope they come to understand, accepting is hard for them. I would enjoy if we could chat again.' She glanced back over to Ellie than back at her now iced herbal tea. Disappointed she waved down the server and asked for just mint leaves, she knew that although her sense of smell was decent, what she would further do would just be wasting food.
((ooc: It's no problem. ^ ^ Just aim to get better.))

Ellie wave goodbye to Kasu, smiling, "I hope we will talk again sometime." she said watching her mentor leaving the tavern. Once Kasu left, Ellie looked around and saw that only her and Xaen was the only ones left. Ellie got up, picking up her belongings and walking over to Xaen's table. "good evening, do you mind if I sit with you? We are the only ones left in this place, why not we sit together and get to know each other." Ellie said as she place her belongings on a table close to them and sat down. "I haven't seen you here before, I am Ellie Moonshine, wolf-kinto."
