It was a very cold night as Ellie, wolf Kinto, sat at a table, by the fire place. She was staying at the Inn for now, since she lost her home due to the Ent's rampage and lost her clan home due to Mulds foolish choice of putting the clan in danger durring the Demon war by being a double agent. Ellie wanted to come back home, cause she misses her friends here and the feeling of home here. She looked at the pouch that was on the table, rubbing the sides of the pouch, 'Well Aldric, we are home and um.. things has really changed." She said quietly to the pouch. Ellie raise her mug to Aldric's ashes and smiles, "Here is to you, my brave son." She said taking a drink and putting it down.

Late Night in the cold of winter, the Jackal abandoned his latest excursion for a bite to eat in the Tavern. Needing to restock his supplies. He pushed the large heavy doors open with his small furry paws, shaking the snow from his fur and tall ears. Taking a small breath and exhaling the warmer air, Guile scanned the room and found it was rather empty, and nothing but a Warm fire crackling against the wall. And Ellie, the Wolf alone.
He walked over without a thought between his ears and plopped down his satchel. Even in Full Were-jackal form, he was much smaller than Ellie. As it were naturally in the Wild, Jackals were fairly small creatures. Known to have very little fear. But Guile was a Coward... Constantly running from his foes, or people he'd got off on the wrong paw.
Ellie was one of these people, He remember the first time they'd met, Guile had cast his magic on the wolf, invaded her home, and made off with all her meats. He smiled, remembering how even after he'd robbed her and threatened her, She still had the Heart to Defend her against the Grey Alpha Mulds, and take him to be healed. He wasn't sure if Ellie was a warrior or some kind of Scout, In fact he had no idea what her profession was, But he didn't care. There was very Little she could do to help him.... What a Greedy Jackal.
He Dropped his satchel with a Heavy thump at the table and threw himself into an open chair at her table. "HEY Wolf Girl!" He sneered. "Remember me?" He chuckled a Little, licking his lips and patting his stomach. He teased, only because it was in his nature as a Jackal, the Assassin in him. But the Bardic Half was a gentleman.
No one but Aalis ever saw that half.

Ellie didn't notice Guile coming into the tavern till he came over ans sat down at her table, causing her to jump a bit. Looking up at Guile, seeing him in his were-Jackel form gave Ellie a smile. "Yes i do remember you, Guile. That is a nice look on you, I never seen you in that form before. You should show it more often." She said giving him a smirk. Deep down, Ellie didn't like Guile, for threatening her to kill her and Aldrich. Taking another gulp of her drink and set it down but Aldrich's ashes, "So are you here for food and hot drinks, or here for my fur?" She asks.

It has been a long time since Kasu has been in the tavern, it has changed alot since he was first here, helping to clean up the place. He looks for a quiet table, and looks forward to a warm meal. The travel to Wildgard was long, cold also. But it is a stop he enjoys when out scouting to the north. Lowering the hood on his oversized cloak, he moves across the bar. Setting his staff against the table edge he sits down and orders a small meal and some hot water. He then moves on to his favourite pastime. Watching the people that are here.

Guile chuckled at Ellie, the first time she'd said anything that he could find amusing. He scrunched up his short snout and for once he appeared friendly. "hey, speaking of Furs, Where is your little runt anyway? He'd be about the right size for a new satchel now." The Jackal wasn't kidding, the last time he'd seen the pup he was a feisty little brat barking and growling at him. Guile thought he'd make a great Alpha... and that's partially why he'd never liked Aldric. He looked at the strange-smelling pouch on the table. It smelled of smoke, and dust. He wasn't interested. Just then his ears flicked toward the door and the cold air blew in with another patron. Someone he'd never seen before. Guile surveyed them closely in a very narrow timeframe, he didn't like to be snoopy. While the Stranger ordered, Guile waited for the snow crystals to melt into his fur.

Ellie turned to see a new person she had never seen before, walked into the tavern. She turned and looked at Guile, her eyes darken as he spoke about Aldrich. "Aldrich is no longer by myside, Guile. Aldrich died two months ago." Ellie said looking down at the pouch. "These are hsi ashes, Guile, I brought him home to rest. But, as you can see, I have no home." Taking alother gulp, finishing up her mead and calling for another one. "-chuckles- Heh... you know.. he was looking forward of seeing you Guile. He told me he want to give you a lesson of killing our kind by bitting your balls off." Ellie chuckles weakly holding her sadness in.

Kasu, opening one of his pouches, makes a tea of his hot water. He then unwraps his elven bow so it can warm up. He wipes it off and places it across the table. He notes Ellie and another at a table in the bar and makes a mental note that he will have to catch up on how she is doing soon. He then starts working on his meal, and watching the rest of the bar for activity.

The Jackal stopped laughing suddenly, guilt sweeping across his maw. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. He was such a healthy pup I... Didn't think he'd..." Guile really didn't know how to turn that into light conversation. The Good thing about being a Jackal, is that he could always come across and too arrogant to care. Though he did, he could always pretend he didn't. "Anyway, You do have a home, here in the Tavern don't you? It's a bit temporary, but it's well stocked and you don't have to go out into the cold if you don't have to. Let me tell you!" he Laughed again, "That's the only reason why i'm here. I needed to restock... I ran out of people to Rob and barter from, Even my bardic Skills are cutting it close when it comes to making a living out here. The Frontier, they call it." and he Scoffed, his dashing white fangs gleaming int he candlelight. Glancing awkwardly to the man across the room, watching his bow lay on the table he felt a little uneasy. Strangers made him nervous. Ever since last summer he never knew which Hunter would make him the Hunted, for all the Jackals wrong doings in Wildgard.

Ellie gave him a kind smile, "No, it is ok Guile. Aldrich died as a warrior. He saved my life when we were underattacked by a monster. The monster had very dark, black magic and I was hit. I couldn't moved till Aldrich attack the beast and well saved me." She said lightly touching the pouch. "He is with my parents and grandparents. They are so proud of him and they told me that he will be watching over me just like they are right now." Wipping her tear away, looking up at Guile, "yes I do have sort of a home here at the tavern, but I don't want to over stay my welcome. I only pay till I can make myself a home here in Wildgard and burry my son." Ellie lightly chuckle to Guile's words. Then Ellie turned to face Kasu, who she hasn't seen in months. Kasu was sort of her mentor when she first started out here in Wildgard. But he left before they finish talking with each other. Ellie's eyes widen as she saw him. "K-Kasu?" She said.

Kasu stand, takes his cloak off and puts it over the back of a chair (it could use alittle drying now that the snow has melted), unbuttons his jacket and straightens the belts of his hakama, also adjusting the position of a pair of daggers and his sword. He walks over to Ellie and kneels down, giving a little bow with his head.
"Nice to see you again, Ellie. It has been awhile since we last had a chat. Hope that you are doing well, and keeping adjusted to life.", kasu says and then takes a side glance over at Guile before continuing "I see that you have a 'friend' with so will not detain you long, just wanted to say hi and see you how have been."

"Friend?!" Jackal threw his head back in a seemingly joyous laugh, He looked friendly enough, and seemed to be having a good time. But to those who hadn't had the chance to get to know him... This was far from the truth. Guile led a tragic life, preferring to place more effort into making enemies than friends. Not true friends anyhow. He was a scavenger, he took to people better if he had something to gain from them, and then he was off again. Though he really did feel for Ellie, and the tears in her eyes made him feel more Human than he had in a long time. His heart was still frosted. Long ago, the Jackal had been a happy-go-lucky Bard, part of a Duo and a relationship with a feline Kinto, It was his life. He Lived to make others Happy, to make them dance and sing. Many-a-Wartime had turned his profession into a necessity and he lost the love for it. Aalis the Feline he'd fallen in love with was the Comedy to his Tragedy. And that Artistic Duo. After the War in the Celtlands, Magrathea. He had thought her dead. So he left with a Heavy heart, never to sing a song or jot any Poems again. He used his Bardistry to fake people out of his foul schemes and allow for his new profession to take hold as an Assassin using bardic Magic to steal away in the Night.
...It was only Recently, this past summer that he had found Aalis was still alive, and had been searching for him for 3 years. Alone in the wilderness to fend for herself. She had become a warrior, without him to protect her. And he had put on the Mask of Comedy to hide from his fears and his Heartbreaks.
They had switched masks... Each blaming the other for their hardships and loneliness of late. Though he was still sowrn to her, he hardly had the stepping stones to begin patching up their relationship, and the Jackal within was too proud to admit he was nothing without her. So he continues on like this. Laughing at hurts and pains, as to shield himself from the truth.
The Jackal chocked back a scoff, realizing that this Armed man could do a nasty bit of damage to him if rubbed the wrong way. Guile caught a glimpse of his eyes and quickly Sat up straight. Putting on the charm. "I Apologize. I'm Guile Harlot. Pleasure. Don't mind me." He Shifted into Human form, A Greasy, dark haired boy with a pale gaunt face and striking ice blue eyes. He wore black tattered clothing, but looked as though he might have some sort of social standing, left over from his past. He had a dashing smile and could be considered quite attractive, but the coldness in his eyes told another tale.

Ellie gave Kasu a very warm smiled as she sat up and give him a hug, "Kasu, I miss you so much. I was wondering where you have left off to. A lot of things has happen while you were gone. I too had left Wildgard for some time as well. Please sit with us and don't mind the jackal, he is no friend of mine. Just a rival." She said. Ellie couldn't call Guile a enemy since he hasn't done nothing physical harm to her or Aldrich so it is more of a rival then an enemy. When Guile laughed outloud, rudly Ellie gave him a glare saying, 'don't be rude to my mentor like.' When the surver came back with a full mug of hot mead for Ellie and some food as well. She took a drink and looked at the two men beside her.

Kasu returns her hug and pats her shoulder. "Don't worry yourself about the actions of others Ellie." Kasu says reassuringly "I knew the kind of 'friend' he was way before I came over to the table, can't travel as much as I have and not be able to size up a person by the way they drink, or the slight motions of hand and eye. Oh and Thank You. I would love to take a seat with you two. But just a sec."
Kasu moves over to his table and gets his tea, then returns. Setting down his cup, then removing his sword and saya from his belts and placing it against the table edge. The sword, resembles a katana, but, it is alittle shorter and straighter, and the handle is not right.
"It does seem interesting that we both return to Wildgard about the same time. I was just scouting the area between our villages to see how the cold has effected the area. Figured since I was already part way here, Why not take a trip back up."
"I also have been travelling around a bit this last year. Visited my elvish homeland, and then back to the monastery for a short visit also. But I think your travels and adventures would be more interesting and helpful to hear." Kasu sits back and has alittle tea. He is a man in his 40's or early 50's. around 6 foot tall and 200 pounds. Not an elf, but human.

The Young man slid lower into his chair, allthewhile gesturing to the seat as if to say 'by all means!'. He began to fidget with the strip of blue across his chest. Peering up at the server through strands of his dark bangs. In a split second his old habits kicked in. A sly smile appearing on his face. "Wench... Charm, Get me a Dark Ale, bring it to my chair, Free refills all night long, keep it coming, Charmed." And chuckles as she turned to him and nodded with a smile. He smiled back and gave a light wink.

Ellie smiles, "Yes, but i only arraive two months ago, Kasu. I was traveling, trying to find wolf kintos that had been rumored that came from my clan. But nothing, no one. I live in the valley past the moutains. I use to have a companion with me and my son, Aldrich with me durring my first month of traveling. But my companion's darkside took over him and left us. I lived in a small valley that had a nice city and great people." She said telling her travels to Kasu.
Ellie turned her gaze to Guile and sighs, "You know Thoror won't aloud you charming his servers liek that. They aren't slaves." She said giving him a talking too. Then turn her gaze to Kasu continuing her story. "i came back now and then, but things were worst when i cam back the frist time. An alpha wolf kintu but the name of Mulds helped me created a clan here to be for wolves and Lytharies like me. But then the Demon war came and Mulds became a double agent for Wildgard putting the clan at risk. My son was living there at the time. I feared that the demons will kill my son. So I chalenge Mulds for leadership but I lost by interfernace by Muld's adopted daughter. I left and lived at the temple till my wounds healed. i was welcomed to the fort for safty, but I feared staying here will bring danger to my son so I left.
I return to that city in the valley and lived there for months, I don't remember hwo long I lived there, but 3 1/2 months ago i decited to return to Wildgard and stay here permitedly. So me and my son Aldrich left and headed to the mountains. We went through the Dark Woods path that is on the other side of the mountain past. People warned us not to go therough there cause of a monster beast. But I wasn't worried and really needed to hurry home so we took that path. It was not till a week in our journey that we were attacked by the monster we were warned about. It turns out it was my companion, he became a monster wolf and with teh powers of the dark arts he blamed me for making thsi way. I fought with him, telling him it was never my fault.
Then he hit me with the black flames on my leg that burns your bones. I was wounded and was unable to fight him, then Aldrich came and attacked the beast. I scaremed and yelled at Aldrich to run away, but Aldrich called out to me, s-say 'I want to save you mother.' -sniff- He fought off the beast as I tried to heal myself from the attacked. Then that beast.. i-it.. grabs my son and smash Aldrich against the tree braking his back. A-anger and rage came over me and... and.. I killed it.. I killed that monster for killing my son." Ellie said as tear flowed down her face slaming her fist on the table. "I took my son into my arms and cried over his body. Aldrich spoke to me, he said, "I.. am a warrior now.. mother." Then he spoke to me in human words for the frist time, he siad "I love you, mother." I cremated him and brought his ashes home to be barried." She said sliding Aldrich's ashes towards Kasu.
