Bear Saga: The Trio
Ursa left her home in search of food. She crossed the Fenbog Swamp that caused her to partially Lose her eyesight. It was the toxic fumes and sludge in her eyes that stung them and robbed her of visual clarity. She was almost lost that day, to the swamp depths, if it wasn't for Billy the Barbarian. The Human that saved her and drug her out of the swamp on the side of Wildgard, The bear swore her allegiance to the Barbarian and Vowed to Protect him, and the Barbarian vowed the same. However, winter was coming and the Bear was bound by Instinct, Hibernation was a call of nature the Bear could not ignore, several failed attempts were made to cross the swamp and find her cave, and Billy came up with several theories to Keep Ursa in Wildgard.
The Bear wandered around Wildgard for several weeks, listening to the battles and overhearing the schemes and plots. Several times she had gotten too close to them with Billy and had nearly joined a side of the fight and inserted herself into the War. Sylver the Lynx on the council of Wildgard took a shine to the Bear and often tried his hand at seeing eye to eyes with the Bear and Billy. Billy had other plans to leave Wildgard and continue about his route before the Bear had come into his life. There were many conflicts, Ursa was a force to be reached out to by the Wildgardians, so many plights and pleading for a savior, Ursa began to think that Wildgard truly needed a firm hand to guide them. With the Whispers of Billy in her ear, Ursa began to think SHE could be the one to be a pillar of strength to the people of Wildgard.
Billy had begun Gathering followers for the Bear, people with like-minded interests that would stand in support of our cause. Among these Numbers was Starfire. Starfire the Human Scout had evaded Bear in the forest a few times and ad come to join her after a chance meeting in the Entwood. Shortly afterward Starfire was a trusted set of eyes by Ursa's side. She fought valiantly for the bear and was there for support whenever she needed.
Ursa was happy in these times, with her Humans dark times seemed much more alight. Ursa had fallen in love with her Savior Billy. They were inseparable and Ursa couldn't see a day in the life without Him. Little did she know that Starfire felt the same way of the Bear.
When it came time for Elections the bear spoke up for Nominating herself, Sadly her voice was not ready to be heard. Wildgard failed to see Ursa as a citizen of Wildgard, she had not been there long enough for her voice to ring in the hearts of Wildgard or the Council. Ursa had taken many weeks to learn the names and faces of those around her, she learned the will of the people, thier hopes and dreams. And when it came time for her to make a choice, She stood up and elected herself for Council. She had the support of Many but it just didn't seem like enough. In the end she didn't make a position on the Council and she was rather displeased. Zume, Sylver and Ieda had challenged her to make a difference in Wildgard, that if she thought she could run it better, to make people listen, to make a statement... then she should give it a try.
She accepted that challenge and though she wasn't elected into council, the cry of the people was still ringing clearly in her ears. Though she could not help them from a seat in a powerful position, she could still heed their wishes in her own powerful way. Scythe, a good friend of the Bear was imprisoned by the Watchers almost immediately after the elections, The Bear could not stand for this, she would have to set her free. So She set off to the forest to plan.
During this time of crucial planning, the Bear had come up with two detrimental goals. One of them was brought to her attention by Vija the Fox whom pleaded to the bear of her worries and quarrels with The Watchers and informed her that the Watchers rigged the Votes and Planted Watchers on the New Council, and Ursa decided they would have to fall, and she'd somehow take out the Demons with the consequences. She used whatever tactical means she had to conduct a plan that were to be flawless, And would put the citizens of Wildgard in her favor, and make her voice heard. All the while completing the task she had been challenged to do.
She emerged from the forest in search of her eyes, She searched for several days for Billy and could not find him anywhere, the bear, being distraught to begin with and blinded critically by love found that the only logical explanation was that the Watchers must have had him imprisoned as well. Since they seemed to be the route of all mishaps.
Her main Target was Eli, the Leader of the Watchers, and after her rampage when the Watchers Scattered, the Prisoners were set free, the Council was up to their heads in duty and the Elven Temple was dealing with the Demons who took the fall for almost everything, if it wasn't for Eli's clever use of the truth Spell. The Bear would have been unsuspected. She fled to the Forest to watch her masterpiece unfold. (She Had asked for the Help of the Demons, Especially D. The aftermath of that event can be found in the Thread "Running Scared" in the Forest.)
It was then she encountered the Demons. After along a grueling confrontation the Bear had finally lost her cool and allowed herself to be defeated by the demons and relinquished her Scout status and returned to Nature with nothing but the memory of the Heal spell. (SEE THREAD in Town Square: AWAITING CONSEQUENCE) She tried several times to cross the swamp, yet, she woke by the edge with no sight left to her. Starfire had finally found her. and a Mysterious young healer cured her eyesight. With this new turn of events Ursarius exacted a vendetta against the demons and pledged every minute of her time to take out the last few threats Wildgard had to worry about... and nothing could stand in her way. Not even Starfire's attempts to make the Bear see reason.
At the end of it all, Ursarius and Starfire said their goodbyes and Ursarius Left Wildgard in search of her Home cave, with new found eyesight, Starfire hoped the journey was a safe one.
SEVERAL WEEKS LATER:
Ursarius returned just after the first few frosts landed in Wildgard, She had returned home to Ursus Dauntamontis and Spent a good few weeks in the company of the Mountainmen, A tribe of Bears (Both Feral and Kintu) that were highly respected among all who lived on the mountain. She explained the entire story of her long sidetracked Journey and all her experiences in the City of Wildgard. The Tribe of Mountainmen urged Ursa to return and see what more she could tell the Mountainmen about the lands to the south. Ursa explained how she didn't wish to return to the City until the spring, for it took her this long to get back. However, she could not bring herself to disappoint the Tribesmen, So she had to think of HOW she would re-approach Billy and Starfire after making such a grand Exit. She concluded that She would come bearing gifts for her eyes and seek redemption if it presented itself.
She made for Starfire a Bear-claw Pendant from her own Paw, that she had lost while digging her own tomb on the edge of Fenbog Swamp. Upon the Necklace there was also a coppery plate that read: "True Friendship is seen through the Heart and not the EYES" She asked the Mountainmen to use their ancient magics to imbue the Pendant with two things. The Courage of a Bear, and the strength of Ursa's companionship with Starfire. These two things would take care of Starfire through the Winter when Ursa couldn't be there to Protect her.
She made for Billy the Barbarian, a new suit of Fur. A sleeveless vest, Leg Guards, Arm Guards and a sash. She asked the Mountainmen to imbue the Garb with two things. First, the everlasting Warmth of a Bear's Heart so that Billy's small human form would forever be immune to the fierce winds and Ice of Winter, and Secondly; That the Garb would radiate compassion, to symbolize Ursa's undying affection for the Human who initially saved her life. So that Billy would always feel her presence.
She took these gifts back to Wildgard City and after a long Journey across the lands, she arrived to find that Starfire would not greet her with open arms or a kind acknowledgment. Starfire seemed quite angry and hurt that Bear would return and it took nearly an entire day to talk some sense into her, and that she accept Bear's Generous gift. The Trio sat for long hours and talked about everything that came to mind, re-solidified their friendships and bonded once again, However, Ursarius still could not bring herself to confess her love for Billy the Barbarian, Alas she left that thought in a vault in her chest and decided it was better that way.
When it seemed that Ursarius had finally tied up the loose ends of all the Happenstance that occured in the forest outside the City of Wildgard. Something unexpected happened. She was approached by a familiar Lynx. Sylver the Druid. He had been tracking her down and desperately wanted a word or two from her. He stressed that he believed Ursa was not the Villan most Wildgardians saw her as, that he had great hope for Ursa and great confidence in her. Sylver Snowlynx wished to see Ursarius return to Wildgard in the Spring. After talking with her Eyes, or rather... former Eyes, The Trio agreed to meet once again in the same place when Spring came. They wandered back to town together in a heartwarmed, yet slightly sad mood.
“So Bear...Why so mad??” Starfire approached Ursarius at the end of the Forest where the Ground became moist and spoiled.
“Starfire.... that's a difficult question to answer, there are alot of reasons why I’m ‘mad’ …” Ursarius sighed and stared out at the Fenbog Swamp, her new eyesight seeing it for only the second time out of all the attempts to cross it.
“Then Speak! There are no Demons!” She snapped at the Bear.
“I have given up my Humanity. I am a Kintu that is wild and feral. Just a bear now as I should have been all along…” There was a low hush in her voice and the Emotion she pretended that was not there, was all that she could display.
“Well that is no Excuse!!”
Ursa Scoffed “why not?”
Starfire struggled with her words. “Because... What if I told Sylver what would he think, He's thinking alot of you right now…”
Ursa was taken aback, why mention the Druid? “Tell Sylver whatever you wish, this doesn't concern me. So he had High hopes of me? It was HIS faith in me that gave me the courage to face the Watchers. It was Zume and Ieda's Challenge to make a difference in Wildgard that drove me to act as though I would never before.” Ursa fought to maintain her composure as Starefire’s anger rose, she glared at the Bear.
“Bear!.... what is your decision!?”
“My decision? about what?! there isn't much else I can do now. I've made my difference… however small and seemingly insignificant it may be.”
Starfire stared up at Ursa and forced her voice to form words. “I need to know.... Are you going to drop me.... You have your eyes back... I seem no longer needed”
The Great black Bear opens her mouth to speak and is left speechless for a long while.
“Exactly what I thought” She frowned, Hurt and disappointed.
“It wasn't my choice, You were brought to me against my will. My eyesight left me without my say, and the Healer brought my eyesight BACK without my permission. None of this is how I wanted it.”
A Tear slips from Starfires eye. “I...I..”
Ursa spoke before she could finish. “I can understand how you feel.... I really do.”
“You DON't!!!!! you don't…”
Ursa just stood there shaking her head, “Now The roles have been reversed. I feel I have nothing left here without Billy. And the same is for you. Only we're both wrong.”
“This isn't.....I Just..…”
“You were a lost Scout when I met you, and you've grown alot in such a short time. You put me in my place today. Only Billy could have done that... You can go on and do better things. I trust that you can take that new Staff of yours... and find a path for yourself worth walking on.”
Starfire crys in her hands as she tries to keep eye contact on bear but she can't she falls to the ground and starts crying uncontrollably, Ursa felt a twinge of Guilt in her heart and quickly gritting her teeth she tried to remain strong for the Younger Scout.
“I don't know what else there is that I can say or do…” Ursa watched as Starfire wept, feeling horrible and holding back her own tears. “....I know the words that you wish to speak. But you must Understand. All I've done, I've done for Billy. And now he's run off and I can't stand to be in Wildgard a moment longer. This Human side of me has let me become weak.”
Starfire sits there on a patch of dry land, looking up in Awe at the Bear.
“Why you cry is the very same reason why I cry. Why I want to toss myself into that swamp and sink to the bottom. I know Billy will never return my feelings so I have to get rid of them. I regret not trusting you more. You were truly a loyal set of eyes.”
“If i was loyal then why LEAVE!!! I might just decide to kill myself now.…”
Starfire looks at her sword and back at bear to find her scowling at her. What a thing to say at a time like this. Was she mocking her momentary lapse of self-conclusion?
“I could have let the swamp take me. I waited and waited for Billy to return, several times I tried to cross the bog. When you found me curled up in that tree stump I had cried myself to sleep.... I was hoping you'd come, because I had no idea where you had gone after I feel from that Tree. I thought everyone had left me. Do not mock me, I wasn’t trying to kill myself just because I can. I’m past that now…”
“I never left I was Always There...You just couldn't see me”
“You Ran when I feel out of the Watchers Tree. I would not have run. Where I come from, The small range of Ursus Dauntamontis... Bears are prided on for their courage. There was no Man or Kintu that could defeat them. When we are brave and loyal, everyone can see it. we take our challenges without hesitating.
We take our defeats with honor. when we are defeated, we bow low to our victors and step down. but we never give up.” Ursa watched Starfire’s reaction, tears flowing from her eyes. “The only warrior that can defeat me was the one inside my chest. I lost a battle with my own heart and I let it take me. Now I must bow low and step down.”
“Bear, Do you care enough to stop me.? I don't know what do with my life if you leave.…” Starfire Picks up her Sword and holds it close. The Bear frowns and glares at Starfire.
“Of course I care! I cannot save you from yourself, we have both lost ourselves to another and there is nothing I can say or do that can make that pain go away!! I can heal with all the White Light of the Heavens and I can't heal that kind of emotional pain.”
Starfire drops the Sword and looks away. Ursa lowers her tone and sighs. “I know, what you feel. I just can't fix it. Winter is coming and the only logical thing for me to do is curl up into my cave and let the world frost over and die, I will return when the earth grows again.…We're the same when it comes to this, you're almost a bear yourself now” She laughs lightly, still terribly saddened, “I have to sleep. I wish I could stay but it's instinct and nature for hibernation to take me. You should be glad it's only a temporary Death. I'll be back. Don't you have anything else to do? You must have had a life for I or Billy corrupted you...
Now Starfire was thinking, “Not really…” She said, “I worked for Cycla before you... I don't want to go back to him. I wish you could just Stay.... I can not discribe what I want to say I just.... Want you to help me... Billy could Still come back.”
Ursarius Sytless cringed at the thought of it. “I can't face Billy, not after coming to realize these things. Even if he did come back…”
“Just Trust is what i need. But who is there... Drazaroc?? He could go die in a hole for all I care. I cant live with this. I just don't know where to go, I can't work for anyone because your the only one i trust at this point. Other than Sylver.”
Ursa sighs impatiently, “Who says you have to work for anyone? Make your own path, follow your own road, don't sell your staff skills to just anyone. Find a cause worth fighting for and make it happen. That's what I did. After listening to the Wildgardians and talking with Vija. I made a choice”
Starfire shrugs “Being with you just made life so… easy.”
“Well Winter is a good time to make life hard...That's why we sleep through it.”
“Maybe I should come with you?”
The Bear Laughs for a second at the Thought of Starfire spending the Winter in her cave. “You can't hibernate, you'd die of starvation in a week!”
“So what do you think? I'll Go out of the Cave and hunt while you sleep, I will not starve…”
“You're not built for it. And how I am supposed to be of any use to you sleeping like a rock on the inside of my cave?”
“Okay... I dont know what to do... I should disappear for a while.. Just stay off the grid. Not be seen by anyone…”
“You were right about the Council Starfire, they will protect you if you stay in Wildgard.
Your skills could be of use to them in exchange. There are good people on the Council. they won't slaughter you outright. And there's always the Basilica. They have good men there.”
“I can't trust them because when I left my family I told them I was never coming back and I made that a Promise!! I am NEVER GOING back to where my family is and THAT is with the Temple.”
Ursa shook her head low, The Council isn‘t a part of the Temple anymore. It was no use arguing. “Alright, no Council. What about the Basilica?”
“I just cant...i'm going off the grid till you come back”
“...What will you do? How will you know when I’ve returned, If I do.”
Starfire looked around thinking she could just run and hide. But she looked at bear and wondered if she would come looking. Doubt is one thing going around in her head. “I'm thinking of just becoming a Thief Changing EVERYTHING about me…” - Starfire was now cying her eyes out as she watched Bear begin to leave to go and find cave, Confusion filled her mind. Rage built up like a brick wall.
“So we will leave it at that, is that what you want??”
Ursa walked away on all fours like a real Bear. “...You will find someone else to love. When I return in the spring you'll have forgotten your feelings for me. It will get easier…”
Starfire kept yelling for bear to come back, Bear kept walking . Starfire could tell it was hard for bear to move on and keep walking. She got up and walked in the other direction and looked over her shoulder and didn't see bear knowing that that was the end till Spring.
Ursa's Final Song:
Ursa:
How is it we have come to this,
A turning that I somehow missed?
What weakened strength is left behind
For me without your brilliant mind?
I cannot fix your wounded hole
Or seek to hold your noble soul
But I can hold you till you sleep
And sing the song you sing for me
Close your eyes, my dear one
And rest your head beside me
Night's enchanting slumber
Sings you to a safe rest
The lissome night has fallen
The clouds are drifting slowly
I'll be by your side, dear
Till morning has come
Starfire/Billy:
There's nothing here for me to forgive
Just live the life that you're meant to live
The greatest thing you've done for me
Is act to set my soul free
My journey ends tonight it's true
But so much more is awaiting you
Don't cry my sweet the night is here
And while you sleep I will be near
Close your eyes, my dear one
And rest your head beside me
Night's enchanting slumber
Sings you to a safe rest
The lissome night has fallen
The clouds are drifting slowly
I'll be by your side, dear
Till morning has come
Close your eyes, my dear one
And rest your head beside me
Night's enchanting slumber
Sings you to a safe...
Rest.
Bear Saga: The Trio (Part 2)
As Summer faded into Autumn, the Bear struggled with her inner Demons, struggled to keep the trio together against all odds. By the Time Autumn was over, it seemed as though all her trials were in vain. Somewhere along the way, Ursa's interest in Billy was equal to the desire to understand why Starfire refused to associate with the Bear.
Winter Months were hard on Ursa, she left to the mountains several times trying to end her life or go into hibernation. Even though Starfire had betrayed Ursa she still kept Bear alive, refusing to let her move on or accept defeat. Ursa traveled to the Mountains followed by Star, they had developed a relationship that was hard to accept while they were on opposite sides. Ursa fought for good, and was convinced Starfire had been corrupted, She joined an opposite clan and Ursa could never forgive her. Ursa dragged Starfire to the Mountain “Ursus Dauntamontis” to show Starfire her true form.
Eventually Starfire sought out her own path, marking her own trail to betrayal. The Bear refused to believe that there was any Fault in her Barbarian Companion, but her eyes were blinded by her love for him. When Starfire failed to make Bear see the Errors of Billy’s Ways, she took off from the Trio and has never returned. Bear tried to fight valiantly to bring Star back from her darkness, but unfortunately she was too late. Billy Apologized for ever involving the young Scout but Ursa refused to believe that she would ever give up on a friend.
Throughout the first snows, she sought out Sylver, the Druid that gave her hope and reason. He Assured her, if she were to Hibernate now, she would miss crucial ongoings in the wild lands, and that he needed her to be there and play her role in the turning of the tides of battle. The Bear had successfully driven the Watcher Organization out of the Town, and they set up shop somewhere outside of the city to regroup. Ursa considered this a great triumph, but now, there were greater threats to Wildgard, and her new friends.
Having lost Starfire and Billy, the Bear became lost as well, she wandered wildgard in a drunken haze, spending massive amounts of time in the tavern, and the woods. It was then, she was visited by her Great Uncle. a Grizzly Bear by the name of Longclaws. He was an Elder Healer from the Mountain, and a Sworn Guardian of Ursarius.
"The Great Bear" as he was referred to, was one of the many Elders on the Mountain that raised the Bears Cubs as a family rather than exclusively by the Mother and Father. And the Great Grizzly played a hand at Raising Ursa. He was one of the compassionate Bears that showed her kindness and genuinely cared about her, even though Ursa was one of the smallest and Weakest Bears of the Dauntless Tribe.
Longclaws, Shorttail and Ursarius were Best friends on the Mountain. When it came time for the Ursanrites -The ultimate test of the Bears to ascend from an average Bear Kintu, to an Ursanid (Monster manual version). Ursanids are the Largest, most Powerful warriors or masters of their skills. Elders of the Mountain. The test measures skill, abilities, fighting strength, and strategy. All must fight to the death. The Three best friends were forced to fight to the Death. Ursarius refused to fight, and fled the mountain, Longclaws fought and killed Shorttail in combat and came down to the Wild lands to retrieve Ursa.
Instead, Longclaws found Ursa in another type of combat, Fighting in a war that didn't concern her. He tried to get her to come back to the mountain, learning that the only way to get to the bottom of it was to deal with Ursa's abandonment Issues due to Starfire.
Several Weeks went by Where Ursa fought to Win Starfire back from the Demons and the side of Evil, Billy Tried to Pry Ursa's attention away from Starfire and back to the warfront, but the Black bear scout wouldn't do it. Sylver tried to get Ursa to join him and see that she could be a great warrior and fight for Wildgard.
She has convinced herself that neither Billy or Starfire were trustworthy. That they make her weak and irrational (which they do). Ursa is done being hurt by the ones she lives to love. But deep down she`s still driven to do good somehow. She wants to give up but Sylver has still got her convinced there is a higher purpose and a fate much greater in wait for Ursarius.
Ursa has always believed that she was destined for great things. She was born to be a leader. A Guardian and a Fighter for the side of good. She believes that Sylver will help her get there. And Sylver strongly believes that Ursa first has to get control over her emotions. And that begins by fighting the control Billy and Starfire had over her actions.
Vija Thorn, A fellow Kinto from Wildgard, whom had aways been a friend to Ursa has now taken Starfire under her wing and is slowly trying to coax the young scout back to fight on the side of good. Meanwhile Ursa Met and befriended a Strange young woman Named Fallaryn and gained the trust of Starfire’s Uncle Argyle. He knelt in front of the Bear one day and Pledged his allegiance to her in the form of an apology. During these drunken weeks in Wildgard, Ursarius met an Elf named Fallaryn, whom watched over the bear from a distance and tried to learn of her burdens and aide her in any way that she could. A small friendship was kindled and the Bear was greatful for her guidance, as the Bear fought against the Demon and her companions, the Elf faded into the wood.
The Bear was deep in slumber within her. Preparing through the winter for a new goal. To become a True Wildgardian. Her aim was to join ranks and forces with a mysterious Snowlynx and Dalmatian Kinto. She would become a sworn warrior and fight to defend those who needed it. But this plan came to a grinding halt when she met a young Cub named Urstrid. She was the Daughter of Billy and Ursarius. The cub didn`t recognize Ursa in her new Human form and took to fleeing from her and favoring her Father.
For several weeks Wildgard was buzzing with the news that Ursarius had a Daughter. And when the questions came flooding in… it became aparent that neither Billy nor Ursarius fully understood how this child came to be. There were significant blank spots in both Memories of the event, and no one had a clear answer. Admidst the accusations and suspicions, the rift that was stil present between Ursa and her Love for Billy, kept them at a distance that made it hard to communicate such issues. However determined to go ahead with her new plans… Ursa pushed Billy and their Cub away. Refusing to deal with them. Several jumbled arguements ensued. It was then Ursa realized that Billy had no memory of things past.
The last few weeks had been spent desprately trying to peice together events in chronological order. With the help of The Dalmatian, the Snowlynx and a local Wildgard Vampress. The mystery began to unfold. Until finally, on this day, a conclusion was reached.
Stranger things have happened in Wildgard. But this is a plot twist to end all plot twists.
After Billy the Barbarians mild and short bout with amnesia, Ursarius was able to fish out some information from her formerly beloved. Billy claimed to have Birthed the cub from his own body. That he carried it. And gave birth to a corpse…
Of course most would agree. That this statement is Physically impossible. Ursa was positive that the Cub was hers. And rightfully birthed by her womb. The Cub bore the name Urstrid Dauntless, is a Bear and resides in Ursas cave, on the mountain Ursus Dauntamontis with Ursas family. But could not remember from her drunken stupor. Any of the details that would serve as proof. Billy claimed that Ursarius was present during the birthing and witnessed a corpse emerge from the Human Male. And according to Billy… Ursarius dazed, took the dead child to the mountain to be revived by the Elder Healers there. And by Ursanid Tradition. The Elders raise the young cubs with thier combined wisdoms. Which is where she gained the name and residence. Ursa returned to Wildgard and to a very confused and suspicious Barbarian mate.
The cub eventually found its way back to Wildgard and chaos found them with the mystery of her birth. Because Ursarius was estranged to the Cub and felt little to no parental or maternal attachment to it. Billy was bogged down with trying to unravel the mystery alone. Naturally coming to the conclusion that Ursarius was a neglectful mother and didn`t deserve to bear and rights to her well-being.
Meanwhile as Ursa was still trying to figure out the dynamics of male childrearing. Billy began to speak poisons into the mind of his child. Ursa pushed to familiarize herself with her cub but failed at every attempt. Poor Urstrid was drawn to her mother with so many barriers in the way, that she was easily frustrated at Ursa`s lack of maternal instinct. Billy had convinced Urstrid that her mother didn`t care if she ran wild across the lands of Wildgard. And this caused Urstrid to lash out at her mother with weapons in hand.
With the help of specific Wildgardians a conclusion was met. That in our abnormal daze of intoxication… Billy had not actually given birth. Or Billy was not actually a male. And that in order for him to be impregnated. There logically had to be another male- likely a Bear kinto, involved in the scenario. Which would conclude that Ursarius was NOT in fact the mother Bear to Urstrid.
Logically. This scenario made the most sense, but when Ursarius tried to confront Billy and the Cub, they were greeted with violence and deaf ears. Ursarius pointed her fingers at the “new” Bear that had ben spotted lurking around wildgard. And was recieved with a full on assault from Billy and the cub.
As a final resort, Ursarius called on her scout skills and magics… she prepared to use the `Truth` spell.
A specific skill that had been looming over the head of the Bear Trio since before they had gone thier separate ways. Starfire had always cautioned Ursa that Billy was evil and his intentions were always to use and exploit the Bear… but Ursa was blinded by love and refused to interrogate Billy with Magics. Taking his word for truth and instead using her skills to force the truth out of Starfire… so the time had come months later to finally draw the line. She prepared to interrogate Billy.
She went to Starfire as a precursor. And said to her, if there was any desire to finally witness the truth. That time was now. And if Starfire still had the desire to see Billy brought to justice… the time had come. Then as Billy raised his weapon to strike out at Starfire. The Bear cried out to stop him. Holding back his sword arm. Ursa knew in her heart what she feared all along. She needed to save Starfire from Billy. As she looked him in the eye. Her final word was “Truth”. She wasn`t even able to finish the spell. And she found Billys blade in her heart. Her last sight was the Trio.

Bear Saga Sequel: Family
The Second Part of the Bear Story is the continuation of the Trio story.
The First Part of the Story Focused on the Trio, the Loss of Starfire and the Loss of Hope from the Bear.
After the Death of Ursarius, She was sent back to her home on the mountain in a casket, She was carried to the summit by her Uncle Longclaws the Elder Healer and met there by her Ursanid Brethren.
