"first Kil, im not lying when I said I trusted you. rather you trust me is up to you. I also didn't lie when I said I didn't want to kill you, so why would I attack you?" she questioned, her statements where true "second, ill leave, I need to go hunt for more herbs anyway. rather you leave as well or not it's up to you." She still spook softly as she stood avoiding Kil space. reaching over to her dagger and placing it back into her holster. picking up her bow and slinging over her shoulder, pulling up her cowl, looking back at Kil features still soft. the seriousness of his face un-phasing to her expressions. "third , please don't let this conversation affect anything. I would much like to talk to you again, like I said before I truly did hope it was just a coincidence...besides, I believe it right if I pay you back for your company and for the meal you got me. It was an honor speaking with you Kil. truly. I hope you stay well." Ashen then turned, making her way for the door. her heart was racing, she would be lying if she said he didn't intimate her just then. she knew that was what he aimed for.
for once the cold air was a blessing.

Gritting his teeth, the half-elf didn't say another word at the woman left, only watched her with piercing green eyes as she walked out. Once she dissipated out the door his mouth turned down into a scowl. How had that gone so wrong? Not Keth was probably going to high tail it as per usual and he'd be left trying to follow which might take years considering the drow's track record. Either that or prepare his own confrontation.
Clenching and unclenching his fists, the assassin sat alone at the table, mind racing. He was angry. That woman had no business getting involved in this. This was between him and Kethri alone. She couldn't understand the history between the two.
Finally he stood up abruptly and without his normal grace, nearly knocking the chair over. To frazzled to really care, he carefully picked up the pipe from the table, put it out and tucked it away. Retrieving his scarf, he turned towards the backdoor. He needed to let off some serious anger and training often helped in that endeavor.

Rin had just said goodbye to Bo, the man she had met while oh her walk. she kept the cloak wrapped around her as she opened the back door to the tavern, putting her head down so that the throngs of men did not see that she had returned and request her to dance. all she wanted was to find the inn keeper and ask about her sister.
because her head was down she did not notice Kell as he walked towards the door and bumped into him, knocking herself to the ground. placing her hand on her head she mumbled to herself about her lack of grace, she was an elf, elves were not supposed to fall to the ground.
"sorry about that i wasn't looking where i was go-" she stopped as she looked at who she had bumped into. "Kell? is something wrong?" she could tell he was upset, though that was all she could tell from his expression.
she tried quickly to stand and tangled her legs in the cloak that was still wrapped around her shoulders. staying seated on the floor she covered her face and groaned in embarrassment. she was having such a lovely day today.

Deep in thought as he made his way to the backdoor, weaving and dodging the many patrons of the tavern was like second nature. However the door swinging open to have someone enter was unexpected. The assassin stumbled back a step, clearing his thoughts enough to actually get in his game. "Rin!! I'm sorry!!" He quickly stepped over and with strong hands helped her to her feet while at the same time trying to straighten her cloak.
At her question his smile at seeing her fell slightly. "That woman who I confronted. Her listening in was most definitely not an accident." His smile fell even more to a thoughtful frown. "But I'm not going to regale you with details."
"There's a sheltered area just behind the tavern, I was going to let off a bit of steam. I'm not as unflappable as I may seem." He laughed sheepishly, putting the cheer on for the elf's benefit.

Ashen darted though the Door before seeing if Kil had left. closing the door behind her, she leaned on on it letting out a long held breath. steam coming pouring out of her mouth like a dragon. 'Why was I so stupid! I could have gotten more information! Fallen could have use- her thoughts stopped for a moment. Kil called fallen...Kethri. was that his real name? Did kil slip up? her mind began to buzz with questions again.
first things first though, ashen leaped off the door, encase the Half elf was on her tail, after a sharp turn around the tavern she began to ran. she constructed on her Beast form and within seconds she went from her female Human form to a 9 foot tall panther she darted past the tavern, catching a bit of light coming from the back of the tavern 'shit the door is open!' Ashen sped her running to quickly dart out of sight letting the shadows of the night consume her form as she sped into the direction of the forest.

Rin smiled at Kell, hiding the worry that she saw. "everyone has things that upset them, the details aren't important either. would you mind some company as you trained though? we did not have much time to talk before." she truly did still wish to speak to Kell, she had liked talking to him earlier, before they had noticed the woman listening to them.
a noise outside made her look out the door for a moment, but there was nothing there. 'that was strange' she thought to herself. 'oh well' she returned her attention to Kell, wondering what he was going to say.

"Um.." The assassin ran a hand through his hair sheepishly. "Sure." He hadn't really had spectators before. But he figured it couldn't hurt. This wasn't practice, it was just....release. "I can get pretty serious when I'm letting off steam, just don't let me scare you."
Smiling at her reassuringly, he passed through the door in which she'd just came into the chilly air. It was refreshing. "Follow me."
The little clearing he'd been using to train in was not even a couple minutes away from the tavern, in fact it was still in view. The snow in the arena was hard packed from constant wear. Glancing back to make sure the elf was following him he entered the clearing, clenching and unclenching his fists.
"This is where I've been keeping fit and training. It's a great little place, sheltered from the wind and more or less private." Without missing a beat he whisked off his cloak and scarf to show the fitting armored jacket he wore, including the lethal daggers strapped to his back. In fact those came off next and were hung off a low tree branch. Unbuckling and slipping off the jacket next he hung it with the daggers before finally slipping off the lightweight chain-mail shirt and black tunic from underneath.
He was suddenly standing in the cold air in just his boots, trousers and a charcoal grey wrap that came mid way up his torso.
As a last touch he pulled off his headband and tied back his hair in a high ponytail to keep the majority of it from getting int he way.
Kilindyl was lean and toned, what you would expect from an assassin and an elf. The fine blonde hair that peppered his body was not that of an elf however but a testament to his humanity. But perhaps the most striking thing was the long and wicked looking scar running from his left shoulder down across his chest to disappear under the torso wrap.

Rin followed Kell out to the clearing, he was right, it was a nice place. "there is not much that can scare me Kell, i have seen some terrifying things in my life." she smiled as she said this and spread the cloak underneath her so that she was not sitting on the snow.
she could feel the heat rising to her cheeks as she watched him take off his armor and weapons, very thankful for the night and darkness for hiding it. for a few moments she could not help but stare at the man in front of her, he was most definitely very good looking, and the scar, though striking, did not detract from his looks, it simply made her more curious. she knew though not to ask questions until Kell had taken out his frustrations, though she did not know what his reaction would be it was better to be safe then sorry. "do you train here every day?" she asked, hoping to make idle conversation.

"I do. Upkeep is important." He turned to her giving her a half-smile. "But that's not why I'm here at this moment." Without warning he took a running jump about 5 feet in the air and caught hold of a low hanging branch. The jump wasn't impressive really, but then he began hoisting his weight up, so where his hands grasping the already wearing away bark near his waist and then down again so he was hanging from the limb. He repeated this about 20 times, effortlessly until it appeared he started to struggle.
Dropped down again he stretched his arms behind his back and then over his head, rolling his shoulder. Already sweat was starting to glisten on his face. It may have been cold out but he certainly didn't feel it.
"You said that you've seen terrifying things. That's a pity for someone as lovely as you. Was is because of your travels?" As he spoke he retrieved a small vial from the inside of his jacket at began market trees, six in total, with inch sized charcoal circles.

Rin watched in awe as pulled himself up and down on the branch, she had seen this done before but never so many. when he asked about the things she had seen her smiled darkened slightly and she pulled her knees up to her chest, causing the bells around her ankles to jingle. "it was not because of my travels, though some were after i began to travel. as a child i saw two of my best friends and my aunt murdered by my father, one because he was a kinto and the other two because they were in love." Rin took a breath, she didnt want to say more, but she could not stop herself now. "i have seen a mother so obsessed with power that she turned her daughter into a living weapon and had her try to kill her father for the gold he kept on his ship, and then burned down her home, with her daughter inside, when she failed. i have been in pirate raids, seen what some of the men have done to the woman they stole and set those woman free while continuing to live amongst the pirates, and then i had seen their ship setting out into the harbor being burned down to ash with the entire crew on it, including a man i thought i loved."
she took a breath and placed her forehead on her knees, tears threatened to fall from her eyes. she had never spoken of the things she had seen to anyone. her father would have killed her like the others, her mother only cared for her reputation and wealth, and Roland had cared only for his pirate crew. she should never have spoken of it, now she worried of what Kell would think of her, she liked speaking to him and did not want him to speak to her differently.
she raised her head and watched him place the charcoal circles on the trees, wondering if he would be able to see them in the darkness. as he turned the light reflected off of his skin, making Rin blush again as it defined his very toned muscles.

"That's horrific..." The half-elf frowned, turning his green-eyed gaze on her. "No child should have to witness acts such as those. Apologies for bringing it up. I can understand childhood trauma." It had been years since he'd given his past much thought, but today he'd been blasted with memories for hours. Of Kethri and his childhood. Again, Kilindyl returned to his jacket, a frown creasing his forehead. Despite his elven longevity and youth he looked much older than he really was with a frown on. Still frowning, he began pulling throwing knives from the folds and pockets of the inside of his coat, expertly balancing them between his fingers. Stepping to the middle of the clearing, he shut his eyes, holding the daggers at his sides. Calming his breath, the tension eased off his face as the minute passed, and then another. Suddenly in a lightning fastflurry of movement, the assassin spun on his heal, snapped open his eyes and let each dagger fly with expert precision and practice. Six tiny thunks as the daggers connected with their marks were heard barely milliseconds apart.

Rin watched in awe as each dagger hit their mark. Kell's accuracy was amazing.
"i never did apologize for leaving earlier did i?" she said after a moment. "i am sorry, i was getting a little frustrated and needed air. i had not intended to be gone as long as i did." she toyed with her necklace, spinning it around in her fingers, a small bell hanging from it chimed gently as she did so. "may i ask what happened after i left?" she spoke quietly, not wanting anyone wandering around to hear.

"hmm, it's ok. It was probably best that you had left anyway." The assassin spoke as he stepped over to the tree's inspecting each knife before pulling it out. "I can understand being frustrated and needing air, hence." He turned to her raising his arms as if to showcase the location.
"What happened?" He snorted, shooting her a half-smile. "She introduced herself as Nehsa I believe. Turns out she knows the friend that I've been looking for and ended up using a spell to get information from me." He grit his teeth as he studied where the final dagger had hit. He had missed his mark by and inch. Tearing it from the bark in anger at both his failure and the conversation that had been held in the tavern he returned to his place in the middle of the clearing.
"We ended up threatening each other. It was nasty business." Without missing a beat, the half-elf had once again loosed his knives at the targets in a graceful arcing spin.
Again the tiny thunks could be heard as each impacted with the bark.

Rin cocked her head to the side as she watched Kel. "nehsa... nehsa.. where have i heared that before?" a memory suddenly surged the the forefront of her mind.
~a young girl with lavender hair stood before her, she was dressed in black and had a mask that covered the lower half of her face. She appeared to be only four years old. it was Roland's daughter. she had been coming by the tavern lately to talk to her and listen to her sing. "what is it little one?" she asked of the child. "Lady Rin, lets play a game, i wanna have some fun before training." the young girl looked at the elf, her jade green eyes pleading. "hmm.." Rin thought for a moment. "why don't we try saying our names backwards? i'll go first." she smiled at the young child before continuing, "my name is Rintalia, so backwards it would be Ailatnir. well that's a mouthful." Rin giggled "your turn now"
"that sounds more elvish then your real name lady Rinny" She giggled "lets see..." the girl pondered for a moment. "well, my name is Ashen... so it would be... Nehsa!!! i did it i figured it out!" she clapped and jumped joyfully. "i like that name! if i ever need a false name i'll use that one! that way you can find me!" Ashen hugged Rin before running back to her home for her daily training.~
Rin stared forward with out seeing anything. she could barely make out Kel's movements as he retrieved his daggers from the trees. the woman from the tavern... was the little girl from her memories? no, this wasn't possible. Ashen and her sister Shynelda died in the fire when their mother burnt the house down. there was no way, or was there?
she stood up and began pacing, leaving the cloak in the snow. she paced back and forth muttering and arguing with herself for a few moments before sitting back down on top of the cloak and placing her head on her knees. "kel... did the woman have lavender hair? and jade green feline eyes?" she was talking into her knees and hoped that she spoke loud enough for Kel to hear. she was becoming exhausted from all the memories that had been brought up today.
