"I will take you up on your offer. If you say you have enemies it might be prudent." Again he thought of offering to take care of this 'Zu' but he still was unsure about how she'd feel about it. Listening to her speak, he finished off what was in his stein. "No, I've never had a permanent place. I've never spent anything longer in a year in one place. Not to mention that having a home means somewhere your enemies can find you." Had he settled down he surely would have been killed long ago. "It's safer to move around."
He had more enemies than he cared to admit. There were the assassins and killers that the people of 'that' town sent. And then there were always the family members. They didn't know his face, but they always wanted to take revenge on the one who killed their mother, or father...or child. He had come across a few of them in the past. It was regrettable, but it came with the job.

Ashen giggle at the thought of her being protected on the way home. she couldnt help but smile at the thought. "careful it starting to sound like you want to protect me or something. hehe well your always welcome at my place, its deader then a carcass currently. I have two cursed members and Blacksmith that is not where to be found and my son is still learning to be a scout." she pondered if she wanted more drink. why not it was turning out to be a good night. "would you like another?" she pointed at the stein, her cheeks where rosy again, though she couldn't tell if it was because of the cider of the thought of fallen being protective.

He only snorted at her remark. "I'm not very practiced in the art of protection." He was much better at making people dead than keeping them alive. But he would do his best to protect her. His 'friend'. That was still an odd thought. He had a friend.
At her offer he shook his head slightly raising a hand. "No, I better not. I need to keep my wits about me. A drunken assassin is not something you'd like to see." At least it was something he would not like to see. He was dangerous as it was, but without any inhibition? That was not a good mix.
"Actually, I should be on my way soon. Now that's it's night there are a couple of things I have to attend to." Like securing his camp. He hadn't been back there in a while and it was always a good idea to check up on it. It was a constant worry that someone or something would stumble upon it.

"aww the night has to end already?" Ashen pouted playfully but ment it, she didn't want it to end. sighing she looked at him "i suppose all good things some to an end." she stood up motioning for him to raise as well, bending over to grab her bow and the rabbit that fallen gave her. she starts to straighten up when she notices Fallen didnt get up yet. she started feeling more cheeky then normal. "like what you see?" she smiled that evil grin again, she stood up and slung her cloak over her shoulders watching him as she typed the cloak loosely around her neck. smiling never breaking eye contact. *your move* she thought. this is getting dangerously fun again.

"I.." He was going to answer her seriously when her next words struck him silent. Blinking silently he sputtered for a moment before pulling his cowl down over his eyes. "I...uh..." He stood quickly and not nearly as gracefully as a drow normally would. "Uh. I'm not sure how to respond to that."
In truth he hadn't thought about that all night. In fact, he'd never thought like that....ever. It had never been a part of his life. But he wasn't naive enough to not know what she meant. Did she...have those thoughts on her mind all night? Did she find him attractive? The idea was absurd. Truly. No one found his kind attractive, save for his own kin. It wasn't that he didn't find her attractive, because he did but....gah! No. Stop it. What are you thinking! Cut it out. Focus.
Eyes wide and ears burning in embarrassment he quickly took up his own cloak, swinging it around his shoulders and fastening it.

ashen started giggling, his reaction was priceless. had he never mated before? seeing him quickly get up and putting on his cloak with haste made her fight to not burst out laughing more, no no behave, you dont want to crush his ego. thats not what you where aiming at here. hmmmm his reaction made her think maybe she should give him one more test? sure whats the worst that could happen, you fall?
she took a step toward him making a slight gasping noise, pivoting on her heel as if she has tripped on her cloak as she stepped, though in truth she nearly did. she was falling on her left side, her back facing the crowd. just in case, she couldn't believe she was actually trying this. but when she read her novels of romance this always seemed to happen, why not give it a try, no other male seemed interested. what was there to lose? this would either be a very good idea, or one for both the laugh at later.

Ears still burning, the drow was just about to pick up his bow when a slight gasp caught his attention. Turning to take in the scene, his emotional mind was gone, replaced quickly by the rational assassin. Moving with inhuman and graceful speed he stepped forward, catching her by the shoulders with strong and careful hands. Making sure she was steady on her feet he suddenly stepped back, snapping out of his assassin mindset. Even move embarrassed now, he laughed nervously, unable to keep it down this time. "You should be more careful."
Realizing suddenly that he had stood without pulling up his scarf, he did so quickly. Damn it! He had been so flustered he had actually forgotten! Careless!! Stupid!! He swore inwardly at himself. You fool, why are you suddenly so flustered, snap out of it!
Forcing all the emotion off of his face, he quickly took up his bow and shouldered it before doing the same with the rabbits.

"hehe thanks" she said nervously...ok that back fired a bit. she watched him pull up his scarf with haste and grabbing his things, maybe that was a bit much. he seems really flustered... she could still see his cheeks. even with his skin dark she could tell she got him good. maybe its time to turn it dow-...wait...i can still see his face! she stepped beside him agian she was maybe a foot away from him. she slowly raised her hand past his chest careful not to touch him but making sure he saw every moment she was making. didnt want to ruin a good moment with a broken wrist. grabing one side of his scarf she pulled it up a bit more and same with the other side.
she began to slowly move her hand away her gaze went to the side "i could...still see your cheeks...wouldn't want someone to see your handsome face now do we?" she held her arm as her cheeks got redder. "i-ill be r-right back" walking past him quickly away from fallen to the counter out of his ear shot, she asked the barkeep to give the saytr a cup of his finest ale, placeing the money on the counter. the barkeep accepted and proceeded to get the mug ready. ashen turned around pulling up her hood so it covered her eyes, she began walking back to Fallen.

Still trying to cam himself, he raised his brows when she reached for him. His heart was beating fast in his chest, nervously, but she was only reaching to fix his scarf. He was feeling slightly uneasy now. He was used to having everything under control, always cool and level headed. But for some reason he could not cool his burning ears, or slow his racing heart. Nodding a quick thanks after she pulled away, he took a calming breath.
But as she turned away from him he frowned. Where was she going? Had he been to aloof for her? Was she expecting something more from him? His senses were all messed up and he was having trouble reading the situation. This friend thing was hard....interacting with people was hard.....and understanding woman was even harder. Gah. But still, it was better than being alone.
He nearly sighed in relief when she started walking back to him but managed to keep a calm expression. "Honglath dosstan..." He whispered the words under his breath. The language of his kin. 'calm yourself'.

"sorry" she said look up at his eyes her look was kinda dazed. "i wanted to pay back the satyr though looking at him now" she looked in the direction of the elf and the satyr she spook of, "i think i may have done more harm. he will feel it in the morning. ill have to give him some herbs tomorrow." she looked back at Fallen, her head felt light for some reason. it couldn't be the ciders she only had two! she could drink 6 before she felt this way. she stood right beside him, waiting for him to move. she nearly grabbed his hand, but quickly withdrew it back to her side. no dont make him uncomfortable.
just got home, search for him tomorrow...if he wants to be found tomorrow. she gave a slight glance at him from under her hood, did he notice she was about to grab his hand? she noticed her bow was getting really tight around her chest. she looked ahead quickly seriously what was in those drinks? did he get the richest cider in the second cup? it was only two ashen snap out of it! she took a breath and sighed"ready when you are" she didnt mean to but she sounded reluctant.

"Indeed." He spoke, heart finally calming. The satyr did had impeccable timing. He was not the type to say thank you or pass around pleasantries but if there was any time he wanted to it was then. He wasn't sure HOW events would have happened if someone hadn't pulled the elf away.
"Hm." He nodded to her, catching the reluctance in her voice. Did she not want to go? Weaving his way through the tables, he stopped just outside the door pulling his cloak tightly around him. Damn, he nearly forgot that it was frigid out. This would be enjoyable.... "Lead on. I don't know the way."

ash she pasted him ,she was taller. she had transformed as she followed him though the tables. she closed the door behind her. "you can hold my tail if you cant see just don't pull to hard" she said while looking at him, with the moon light her eyes seemed to glow. even though it was mostly a joke she would do it with the young-lings all the time, not all where able to see in the dark as she could so often they would hold onto her tail.
she proceeded to walk in front of him, winds gusting, she didnt care if her wings showed anymore, even if they where hard to explain... least as far as she could tell it was just him and here walking though town. she stopped agian noticing he didnt move right away, for someone trained in killing other people, he sure was slow. "coming dear Fallen?" she smiled it was to fun to tease him.

"O-oh no! No it's fine, there's nothing wrong with affection, it's quite alright, I have to adapt at some point..." He stuttered, still a bit flustered. "Fifty five?" Not only did he have to adapt to affectionate gestures from women, but he also had to not assume their ages. To him, she looked his age, or younger. "Wow, I'm a mere kid to you... haha..ha..." He laughed painfully at the last part, realizing he had made an awful, terrible pun. Why this??? Why now?? He cursed at himself, wanting to bang his head against the table again.
Gaulwin took note of her tipsiness, and felt his heart flutter at the redness of her cheeks. She was such a beautiful elf. Were they all blessed with such good looks? Caught a bit off guard, he stumbled with his words yet again. "Y-yeah! You know I think I will. I'll go get a room, or something... have you any money? I'm willing to split, if you want. It would cost both of us less in the en-" He gasped a little, then continued. "I-I.. I don't mean it that way! Please don't think I'm perverse, I mean everything in good will!" Realizing his folly of words, he felt the warmth return to his face and he covered his eyes, not daring to see the elf's reaction. "I don't even need a bed! You can take it, it's much more comfortable that way anyways, you can sprawl out and lay any way you desire, not that I'd be picky or mind but-"
He was only making this worse. He took a shaky breath, and tried to speak coherently. "...I'm a kinto. I can take my goat form and sleep in the corner on my belongings. I-I could even sleep in a stable, really, I don't care..."
At that moment, a hefty stein of ale was plunked down in front of him. Staring at it with a baffled expression, he looked around and noticed the feline kinto and assassin leaving the tavern. "H-Hey!...oh, god..." He yelled after them, but they had already left the building. Such an offer was unnecessary, and it really did not help that looking at another pint of ale made him think he would vomit on the spot. But through all that, he felt a twinge of happiness knowing that they appreciated him stepping in... even the dark one, he supposed. Unless it was all the female's idea. Looking up at the elf, he laughed nervously, looking from her, to the ale, and shrugging. "I don't think I can stomach this one by myself... care to share it?" He hoped she would give him some company. He was tired of being alone all the time.

Rin began to giggle at the unintended pun. then as Gaulwin continued talking her giggle turned into a full out laugh because of how flustered he was. a stitch formed in her side and she fell off of her chair continuing to laugh for a few more minutes.
when her laughter died down she sat back into her chair, wiping her eyes that had begun to tear she looked at her companion. "i'm sorry. i didnt mean to laugh" a large smile was on her face. she hadn't had this much fun in a very long time. many of the other countries she had been to were in the midst of war and the taverns had a heavy air of seriousness. "it's just that. you were so... adorable. and you dont have to sleep on the floor! i'm sure that there are either rooms with two beds or a cot that we could set up."
when the ale was place in front of them Rin's eyes widened. quickly looking around she saw the two from earlier leaving. she'd been having such a good time talking to Gaulwin that she forgot about them. she would find out who that kinto woman was someday. today though it seemed she would be helping him to finish a very large much of ale. she was slightly tipsy, but a little more ale couldn't hurt. could it?
taking a smaller much and pouring some ale into it she raised to her companion in a toast. "to new friends"

Gaulwin sighed at himself. He was such an embarrassment, yet Rintalia chose to stay with him. At least he didn't drive her away with his awkward and bashful ways.
"Yes, to new friends!" He smiled as they clinked glasses. He took an eager sip, hoping to get it down as fast as he could. However, this proved to be a mistake, as he found himself leaning over to the wall, coughing and holding his hand over his mouth. He lightly set the mug down on the table, and then continued to cough more violently, pressing his other hand against his chest. After a minute or so, he resolved his issue, and turned back towards Rintalia, wiping the post-choke tears from his eyes. It was never pleasant when drinks went down the wrong way. "I think... I don't think I can take anymore, despite how kind that gesture was of her. To be honest, I'm not sure I'll be drinking for a while..." He felt sick to his stomach, and held his head up with one hand. "Sorry, that probably wasn't the greatest sight to see. I'm not the most graceful goat I know..." He looked over to the barkeep, and remembered the room.
"I guess I'll go ask for a room with a bed and a cot. It should be less expensive than a room with two beds." With that, he went up to the bar and began to converse with the man there.
