There it was. The catch. So most of them couldn't be so easily killed....that certainly made his job difficult. For when his blade fell it only fell once and there would be no revival for the victim. Perhaps it would be wise to avoid any contract that involved these demons then. He did not have any plans to die up here in the middle of no where if a job went sour.
Glancing up at her next words his brow twitched slightly. "No. You're right. I did say that I would trade information for information." Damn...he could feel his heart quicken already. Even the prospect of divulging information about himself made him uneasy. Although that might just be because he never actually HAD before. It was a safer existance when no one knew who you were. But it was also rather lonely.
Leaning back in his chair, he crossed his arms over his armored chest. "Ask what you will and I will try and answer with as much honesty as I can spare."

"oh you treat me so right being honest with me" she jested with a devilish grin, sitting up right she took a moment to think. "ok, why come so far north away from your people. i know you said you prefer your own company but surely you must get...lonely?" she asked with a hint of curiosity.
maybe he had a mate back with his people and he is just trying to get some coin...now would be the time for information "if questions get to personal, i would understand if you wished not to answer, ill just simply think of another question. out of respect" that devilish smile never leaving her face.
her eyes never left him, she wasnt just waiting for a verbal answer, she was reading his body. she couldn't help but smile seeing his breathing picking up pace. this is seriously...dangerously fun.

There was a long story behind why he came so far north, one that he didn't necessarily want her to know....or anyone to know for that matter, so he decided on a half truth. "There are a couple reasons behind my ending up here. Mostly because I became wanted in the previous city I was in, like so many others, and the road north was the quickest and easiest escape." He paused looked down at the table, considering his next words carefully. "I suppose....maybe I get lonely. But I've never known any other existence, I never grew up with my people so there was never anything to miss."
He didn't like the way she was looking at him. Both of them knew that in this moment she held the power and he wasn't really liking it. The nice thing about his profession was that it was always him who held power over people. It was a cold day in hell when someone else held all the cards. He almost laughed at the realization. It was in fact a cold day in hell, frigid even. If this town had any resemblance to hell that is.

"so a wanted criminal?" she said with a cheeky tone. "so even one as "sneaky" as you got caught?! how did you get caught? did someone sneak behind the mayors daughter?" She jested suggestively, even giving a little chuckle. "im just playing around, personally what you have done in the past isnt who you are now. so.. mister sneaky how did you become an assassin?" she sat there, intrigued on what he will say next, as if she was anticipating a grand story of romance or revenge...or both. for once ashen was at peace with the idea her son and her scale mates where around...if Allynn where here the blackmail she would have on her would never die, oh the things allynn would make her do!..she was never the sort to even give someone besides her family the time of day, yet she was just so damn interested in Fallen

He only blinked at her accusation, crushing a nervous laugh that rose within him. "You can only assassinate so many officials and nobles before people start asking questions. They usually get my description off whoever hired me." It wasn't that he hadn't been seen before, but never had he been caught in the act, or....sneaking up behind daughters....Absurd. "I'm wanted in many cities and capitols. Then again some of those warrants are from decades ago. They probably wouldn't remember me."
At her next question his gaze fell, breath catching in his throat. It was not just one tale, but the story of his life. "I..." He stuttered, uncharacteristically caught off guard. "I've always been an assassin, ever since I was a child." It wasn't that the memories came with pain, he had accepted his upbringing long ago. But they did come with shame. If anyone found out, what would they think of him? Probably the same thing that the drow thought of him; disgusting and beneath them.
But it wasn't just that. It was pity that he feared the most. He was strong, capable, and dangerous. Never did he want to see pity directed at him.

"i see..." she said as she looked away and downward, her voice becoming low "sounds like we both have something in common..." she never told even allynn this but she had practically no upbringing, it was about survival sense day one. and the things she had to do...no child should have done. probably much like him they both have done things they probably wouldn't wish to speak of...least..not yet. even if there friendship bloomed, what seemed to have little chance of...
she glanced back at him, oh shit he is looking at you say something that isnt stupid! Ashen cleared her throat, "so you said decades right? you honestly only look about twenty if i where to guess," she chuckled "frankly im a bit jealous on how young you look, so how old are you?"

Glad that the subject had passed without any more questions, the drow nearly sighed in relief. Not many knew of his childhood. Most that did he had killed back then. The only ones remaining were probably their children, now grown or even their children.
He scoffed at her next question, rolling his eyes. "It's more of a curse, actually." He muttered. "It's hard to get anyone to take you seriously when they think they're talking to a child." He shook his head. "How could one so young presume to be a talented assassin." His voice mocked the people who had asked him in the past.
"But I can assure you, I'm older than I look, although young for my kind. Drow age like elves." He tipped his head to the side. "Guess." A tiny smile crept onto his face.

A tiny smirk passed over the drows face. "I'm seventy eight. You were closer than I thought you'd be."
Had he been raised with his kin he probably would have still been considered very young, with knowledge to match his appearance. But growing up and being raised among men, and facing the world alone hardened him. He was held wisdom beyond his years yet at the same time had a childlike naivety about some aspects of life.

"dang so close" she smiled and snapped her fingers. "ok your turn and i wont be insulted i want to know if you get it right! how old am i?" lets see how he does under pressure of estimating! she drinks the rest of her cider and put the mug off to the side."if you get it right next round is on me, if you get it wrong your getting next one" she placed her hands folded under her chin and leaned in on the table, cheeks slightly flushed. young, dark and handsome, maybe the fates where nice to her for once!..we will see how long this lasts, he seems to be enjoying himself anyway. he did smile after all even if its just a smirk.

"uh." Damn! Again caught off guard. With a furrowed brow he studied her. Uh...uh....Gah! He had no idea. He didn't spend much time around humans, kinto or otherwise, and it wasn't like he could compare her age to his. Flustered and perplexed, he scratched the side of head. "Thhhirty?" It was more or less a random guess.
It worked out though, considering he was planning on buying the next round anyway. "I don't really have a basis to judge the age of anyone but my kin, to be honest." He muttered quietly.

"wow very close only 4 years off!" she was actually very impressed normally others guessed she was forty and just barely of age to be a woman. Kintus where hard to guess, just like Elfs. "well for someone who was just guessing you almost nailed it, im 26 winters" she smiled a genuine smile. she even giggled genuine, she never did laugh as much as she did. she couldnt even remember the last time she was having this much fun! she was truly enjoying his company. getting him off guard like that was makeing for a very entertaining conversation.
she finally stopped giggling enough to look at Fallen "well i think next one is you then even if you where close. if you want, i wont make you." she was surprising happy, even the thought of Fallen leaving to get another drink wasn't appealing. anything to keep this smile a little longer...to save me from that god awful empty house.... She really hoped he was Haveing fun with this conversation as much as her

He nearly let out a breath of relief upon hearing how close he was. He hadn't wanted to offend her, or say something wrong. He was having a surprisingly good time. This was supposed to be strictly work related but actually, this was kinda......fun. As far north as he was the fear of bringing the axe down on whoever learned anything about him was pretty much gone. Maybe....it would be nice to have a friend...
Pushing back his chair and standing. "No, no, I won't go back on the deal. What will you have?" As he spoke he unfastened his cloak finally revealing the entirety of his intricate armor and draped it over the back of the chair. The black leather hugged him tightly, custom ordered specifically for him. Strapped to his lower back were twin knives, long and lethal. This also revealed that he was actually rather lean; he had to be quick and light to do the job that he did.
In preparation of leaving the table, he pulled his scarf up to his eyes and tugged his cowl slightly lower as he waited for an answer.

as he removed his cloak she saw just how custom he armor was, how...form fitting...ok i have only had 1 cider this shouldnt be make me like this! she looked away slightly, cheeks becoming redder and hot.
"another cider please, if its not to much" she smiled shyly trying to look up at him. to think earlier that day she feared him, feared the fact he would kill her at any moment without question. now wanting nothing more then to just talk, as if they where friends long ago catching up on good times.
"thank you Fallen, if you have trouble, call me over."

He scoffed at her words. "Trouble? You make it seems like I cannot handle myself." He smirked behind the scarf. "I'll be a moment."
Weaving through the tables to the bar, he quietly placed his order. As he waited, leaning against the bar, his red eyes darted around the room to study it's occupants. Most people seemed to caught up in their conversations, or to drunk to pay him much notice. But there were a few. The performer from earlier who had been shooting glances at him was standing at the opposite side of the bar.
With his head down and cowl low, he paused to get a better look at her. At the sudden realization that she was an elf he narrowed his eyes, looking away in disdain. Damned elves. Had he been paying any attention to her performance he would have recognized the language of her song and realized it then. But why would an elf pay him any heed? He was just 'Saura'dae' to them. Beneath their race.
Scowling, he turned, deposited the coin due on the counter and picked up the steins before returning to Ashen. Placing the drink in front of her, he sat down heavily. He pulled down his scarf again to reveal a frown.
