Thistle stepped forward, leveling his sword at Zell's neck. "Oh, Do stop that... You'll get hurt" the monk stated, eyebrow raised. He let his pendant charge the blade, causing it to glow and unearthly white.
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Star, Thistle was busy establishing a mental link with Zell. "Zell. Help me and we will leave. Don't tell Starfire about this."

The demon failed to reply to the girl, opting only to narrow his single firey eye at her and let out a low growl. When yet another blade touched his throat he bared his teeth. "Make me." Were his only words, spoken angrily and low.
At the words in his head his golden gaze flicked to the monk. 'that's interesting. So your goals are not the same?' He paused for a moment. 'I respect you as an opponent. had our battle continued you might have won. I don't have any respect for her in the least. But I'll hear you out. And....As a final warning, cut me with that and you'll have no assistance from me.'

"Now who's the child." She said before standing up again. She paced around the room ignoring the two of them. She thought to leave it to Thistle at this point. She didn't know anything anymore, giving up before anyone got hurt was better.

Allowing himself a quick grin of satisfaction, Thistle glared at Starfire. "Are you going to do it or not?" He asked, annoyed. At the same time, he was conversing with Zell. "I don't want her to know what I'm planning. She might not enjoy it." Quickly, Thistle outlined his plan to Zell.

Keeping his face an unchanging mask of anger and pain, the generals eyes flicked from one to the other. Silently, he listened to monks wishes, his mouth twitching for half a second as if he wanted to smile. 'I see.' His mind raced with shielded thoughts. So that was his goal? Maybe it was his reason for coming in the first place. That would make sense. 'I would gladly do this. If only to get rid myself of a long term problem.'
'Unfortunately...' His solemn gaze flicked to Thistle as he brought his hand away from his chest, now slick with blood. 'Something like that might kill me in this state. You were right. I'm injured. Severely. I just don't have the strength.'
His skin still shone with the heat held within in, keeping up his defensive act.

"You do it." She said before picking up another book flipping threw the pages. Letting out a loud she turne back looking at Thistle. "Just let me know when you wanna leave. I still suggest chaining him though."

"So this... arrangement is beneficial for us both? Then we shall leave, and next time we meet, you will have your problem removed." Thistle concluded, motioning to Star. "Come on then. If you won't follow through, let's leave him here. And don't chain him. That would be rude."

The demon responded with only the slightest nod in the monks direction. If the monk returned would he actually assist?? Perhaps. It would certainly get rid of the thorn that's been in his side. But it was yet to be known.
Expression still unchanging, the generals shimmering eye flicked to the scout, wondering if she would actually go along with what the man was saying.

Star put the book back on the shelf and began walking back up the stairs staying quite, not wanting to show any emotion. Her mind was racing, everything and anything she could be thinking of was there..

Thistle stooped to gather his discarded weapons. Turning to leave, the monk stopped. "Just as a precaution..." He murmured, then walked over to the wall. He grabbed Destaels weapon, then bent down to gather up the armor he recently shed. The last thing he took was a length of chain from the walls. Burdened with loot, the monk followed Starfire up the stairs, satisfied with a good days work.

The general watched the two of them leave with a narrowed gaze. Normally he wouldn't be pleased with the theft, but in this instance he was more then happy to let it slide as long as the two left. Finally alone, Zell collapsed onto the stone floor. Both his body and mind were exhausted, and at this moment he was just glad to be able to let down his guard; let go of the power levels he had been maintaining. He had been using power that he didn't even have....and the physical strain was not pleasant.
He just needed rest.....were his last thoughts before he fell into unconsciousness.
