The demon shut her eyes, gritting her teeth. He could scream and hurt her all he wanted. She would endure until she died....at least then her wounds would heal. He didn't know enough to take her channel, which hung off her belt and was hidden amongst the fabric of her pants.
One certain thing he said suddenly struck her hard...She really didn't have anyone to save her...Everyone that even cared thought that she was dead. No....No...she didn't need anyone. She escaped her last prison stay by herself, she didn't need a rescuer.
She spoke then, her voice raspy. "If you're going to kill me....just..kill me..." The words were strained, but she was actually able to convey the anger that she felt with them.

"oh, im not going to kill you... not just yet... i want you to suffer Destael" he said laughing underneath his breath. laughing like a mad man he started pulling on her horns again. he knew that this wasnt going to help... his anger has subsided, but know that she knew the truth he could not just let her go... he also knew he could not "kill" her... he watched her die many times and get right back up again as if it never happened. "just tell me WHY" he said applying pressure on the horns. "tell me why am i leave you here to rot in peace"

The Lady Kirsten felt a shift in power and frowned. She couldn't figure out where it was coming from. She turned towards the door and looked out onto the common...nothing unusual there. She turned back, biting her lower lip and frowning harder. Could Destael have found a way to escape the chamber? She had best check. She moved to the hidden door and discovered it standing open. Her features went very firm as she stepped quickly through the door and nearly ran down the steps, holding the skirts of her robe above her trim ankles. She moved hurriedly down the passageway, only to see the boulder moved...she slowed and listened...only to grind her teeth in fury. She stepped into the chamber and spoke loudly, "WHO are you and WHY have you breached the sanctity of the Temple? Step AWAY from the woman, kinto!" She advanced on the wolf kinto, her eyes ablaze with righteous fury. NONE had ever defiled the Temple and none would be permitted to do so again.
Her hand glowed a sickly white, "Step away now, else I take that which you would steal and leave you to the judgement of Higher Powers!"

Des grit her teeth, her vision spinning from blood loss. "Hurt me all you want..." Her strained voice was barely a whisper. "You won't get....any information from me..." There were ways of getting information from her, of course, but this manner of torture was not one of them....no...It just made her more defiant. Defiant until the end.
At the sudden raised voice, her golden eyes darted around until they found the new addition to the room. So she would have a rescuer then....The white lady was the last person she expected to see....
As soon as the wolf let go of her horns her head lolled forward onto her chest. She had no strength left....the wounds she had sustained were to great. And even though he had crudely stopped the majority of the bleeding, the damage that they had done would see her dead soon enough.

"hmp, very well then" he said with a bow and a smile knowing that he would not get away with the murder of the white lady... again. "this one.. you leave her alive and unchain, WHAT WHERE YOU THINKING? she is manipulative. she could have escaped and then WHO would be to blame Lady Kirsten?... don't forget of our little deal" he said with an evil grin thinking he had her right where he wanted her. 'this one... shes MY kill, honour my traditions and we have no quarrel' he thought to himself while picking back up the dagger and putting in in hes hand. "and as far as your temple's sanctity, it means nothing to me i am a creature of the wild an thus all shall return to the wild" he said tossing the dagger towards Destael's head.

Her emerald eyes narrowed as she strode forward, angry and defiant, she moved with the grace and swiftness of her elven heritage and thrust her hand in front of the demon, taking the dagger's harm upon herself. "Destael is MY prisoner and you shall NOT have her. As for a deal...I know nothing of what you speak of. Should you have caught her outside the Temple, I would STILL attempt to prevent the murder of this being. *I* am not above the laws of the Light. I spent MONTHS in pentitence for my part in harming her last summer. You will NOT kill her. If she dies, it will be because the gods of Light choose to take her, or else she choses death on her own terms. But it will not be thrust upon her in an act of vengence."
The voice was beyond anything any in Wildgard had every heard from the lady. Nearly growling in her anger, she spoke more, "You have no business here. You have no right to question me, wolf. She was alive and unchained, physically. But the grace of my Goddess held her bound in this chamber. She could not have left it." Her voice was harsh and loud, the glow still on her hand as she withdrew the dagger from it, releasing her blood onto the floor. Willingly spilling her own blood in protection of one who was helpless.

The demon mustered enough strength to raise her head just in time to see Lady Kirsten take the dagger in her stead. Had she not been dying, the demon would most likely have laughed. A lady of the white light protecting a creature of the dark? Vision swimming, Des blinked a couple times, trying to focus on the scene playing out before her.
Everything hurt. Her surely broken nose...the bloody gashes on her wing where the wolf had dug in his claws, the stab wounds most of all. It would be over soon enough. The demon could sense her life slipping away, which was not a foreign feeling to her. She wondered if she would still be aware to see the end of this little feud over rights to her life.

"to do not tempt me elf... i have killed more on your kind then you can imagine, besides if you were to use the FULL power of the white light to try and kill me you would kill the demon as well" he laughed thinking there was not much the elf could do. he was not scared of her, nor was he scared of the chained demon. "i am a creature of nature your white light doesnt scare me, neither does her evil aura" he said pointing his snout at Destael. drawing his short sword he laughed like a madman. "step aside or you will regret your choice" he said pointing his blade at Lady Kirsten, he didn't want to kill her but he would if she stood in his way.

"I will not. You have no right to her. NONE of us do. She belongs to another plane, and other gods, if any. If she takes her life, that's her business and I will mourn her loss. But you will not take her life." Her voice was steady and firm, the harshness gone. She accepted death if it would spare another's life. The Goddess was the only one who could save them now. The glow about her hand faded out as she stopped the spell of death on it. "Would you really kill one who strives only for peace and prosperity for this place, these people? Our home?"
She stood, squarely facing him down, knowing she left her back vulnerable but uncaring. She would not move away from Destael. The demon woman was injured and unable to defend herself at all, because of her. Kirsten knew that Destael would run, if she could, but she herself would not abandon Destael. "Kill me, if you think its so necessary. But know this. You will orphan 3 kintu children, if you do. And as one who searches for his own child, would you really do that to mine?"
Her eyes calm, serene as she faced him. Would her words penetrate his fury and sense of vengence? Time would only tell.

The tired golden eyes stared up through her hair as she watched the scene unfold. Her vision was failing, the dizziness making her ill. Was she hearing this right? What would posses the lady of the light to want to lay down her life for a demon? A demon who had previously killed so many people? If the white lady died, the wolf would once again have freedom over what he planned on doing to her....no...she wouldn't let that happen. If this was going to end, it would end on her terms.
"Let him kill me..." The words were strained, almost to quiet to hear. "I'm dying anyway..."

... the Kirsten's words sunk deep... he hated the thought of making more kintu orphans, tears ran down his face from the frustration. "im sorry..." he said as he dropped his short sword and fell to his knees. "i can not fail the wilds by not killing her" he said laughing once again like a madman holding the still flaming dagger in his hands. his mind went blank, his primal side had taken control over his body. he stood back up eyes as dark as the night sky, he lunged at Kirsten still giggling under his breath. "for all things natural will come back to nature" he kept chanting as he wildly attacks kristen.

Kirsten stood her ground, watching as the wild kinto leapt for her her, her robes a glistening white...then a bright red blossom formed where the tip of the dagger struck her. But, just then the ward at the edge of the chamber flared and reached out to knock the wolf kinto into unconsciousness, the White Goddess had set her hand upon the half-elf and protected her from serious harm, and stopped the wolf from striking her down. Kirsten gasped at the pain from the dagger strike in her shoulder, and hunched slightly. The flare of light reassured her. She stepped back a pace, taking the dagger with her.
She knelt down beside Destael, attempting to shelter the demon woman from the light which would harm her immeasureably...only to notice a deep dark shadow that had surrounded the demon, insulating her from the reach of the white light. Her emerald eyes went wide as she could not make sense of what she saw. Her auburn locks whipped about as her head turned swiftly to look back to the wolf kinto who was attacking them.
"I'm sorry, Destael. Please forgive me for not arriving sooner" she whispered.

Having a hard time keeping her eyes open, the demon watched Mulds charge the half elf. The sudden flare of light surprised her....as much as someone dying could be surprised. Just as the wave of white light was about to hit her, Des felt her channel react. The glittering orange stone let loose the power of her plane just in time to negate the magic before it hit her.
She let out a short laugh which resulted in another coughing fit. It was able to protect her from death by white light....but it wasn't able to protect her from the dagger of a vengeful wolf. Before long the channels power dissipated, returning to it's regular steady stream..
She heard the woman speak then, the words making her want to laugh. "Not....your fault...." Blood spilled from the corner of her mouth as she rasped the words. No....it was her own damned fault for not being strong enough to fight off a single opponent. As the thought to look past the woman to check if the wolf was still conscious occurred to her, whatever remaining strength her body seemed to be clinging to slipped away.
As her body went limp in the chains, not a worry crossed her mind. Her channel had jumped at the chance to protect her from the white light. There was no doubt in her mind that it would restore the life that was taken from her. Unless it was removed from her body....there was no way she could be killed.
Her golden eyes slipped shut as she took a final breath.

mulds had be flung into the air and towards the wall, thankfully for his keen kintu reflexes he was able to land just before hitting his head which would have knocked him unconscious. he heard destael barely able to whisper something to Lady Kirsten just before dying, like as if his mind as been cleared his hatred subsided. "stop..." he commanded as he took a deep breath. his blood finally slowing down making him able to think clearly. he looked down at his own body to realize the when the demon has charged at him one of his own throwing daggers had slipped from its holder and was now about six inches in his gut. "I..." he managed to whisper before falling to his knees, tears ran down his cheeks once again. but this time not tears for anger but tears of joy. he had avenged his mate by slaying the unholy beast, something MANY were unable to do. he had hopefully brought peace to the wild lands once again as he had many times... like he had in the kintu wars between the orcs and humans. he stood by and watched hundreds of his fellow kintu die and he did not plan on making three more orphans like he had once been. dropping any weapon he had including his short sword and falling to his knees he turned into his full wolf form. falling onto his side he fell unconscious, whether it was the at the hand of Kirsten's goddess or because he was just too drained from the fighting he did not know. but before his head his the stone flooring he said these final words to her. "the forests are pure again... as i am a creature of nature... thus i shall return..." and with that he took his final breath knowing that he was going to the hunting grounds of his ancestors.
(OOC: sorry i might have messed up earlier saying he had the flaming dagger so IDK lol)

Kirsten rose from her knees, brushing the hair from Destael's face gently first, wishing she could have saved the demon woman. She unlocked the shackles and laid her body out on the slabrock once more. Then turned and moved to the wolf. There she knelt down and slowly drew the dagger from his belly, dropping it to the stone floor. Her hand stroked over the wound and she closed her eyes, "Sword cut, spear stab, mace smash, arrow jab...."her fingers trembled with pain, as she still had the other dagger in her shoulder. But healing the wolf and sending him out of the catacombs was something she had to do. With him healed, she carefully drew the dagger from her own body and healed herself.
Taking both daggers from the stone, she rose up and tossed them into the cavern. She lifted the wolf kinto and carried him out into the hall and set him on the ground. She turned back to Destael's chamber and once more tended to the wounds of the demon. This time, she feared, the woman may not be able to return, but regardless, she would not leave the body like it was. She mended the clothing as best she was able, then washed the blood from the figure carefully. As she worked, she found a beautiful stone on a thong, hanging from the waist belt. A tear rose up in her eye, She took it, wrapped one of Destael's hands around it, then laid it on her breast. A thing of beauty to hold in the darkness from whence she came. When she finished, she cleaned the chamber of blood and then walked out. Her body may be healed, but it was weary from the confrontation and from the pain in her spirit. She rolled the boulder back across the chamber entrance once more. Leaving Destael safely inside.
She knelt and lifted the wolf up, carrying him up above ground and setting him on the floor of the Temple's open doorway. "Go, wolf. You have had your vengence." Then returned back inside, only to collapse in tears at the foot of the small Goddess statue and prayed for guidance.
