Discord heard foot steps coming toward her, quickly she darted to the corner of the basement agian, the door makeing a thud noise as she hid.
She didnt know who it was, so she quickly decided the corner was a bad idea and darted under the stairs of the basement. holding her knees she made sure the boxes and stairs hide her. if it was Thoror, she could call out. it if wasnt, she would remain hidden.

Avail shrugged his shoulders as the tavern keep went to leave he was here to figure out how much this fire was going to affect business. Walking around he grumbled to himself now and then grabbing a cloth he covered his mouth to make it even slightly easier to breath for him.
Looking over to the other man in the room he cocked an eyebrow "I don't believe I've had the honour of meetin' ya before." He admitted walking over to the smaller man holding his hand out towards him. He wasn't sure why it was a custom here but he wasn't one to deny the culture who had taken him in.
With the greeting out of the way the large man looked around the building tapping on a a few charred remains of logs taking a moment he nodded his head and rested against a wall waiting for the tavern keep to come back so he could talk shop with the man.

Thoror heard a thud as he entered the kitchen. Discord must have been listening. He smiled and crept up to the charred cellar door, and knocked lightly.
"Discord, it's me." He said softly. "May I enter?"

Hearing a fimilair voice, discords head poped out from under the stairs. "Short man?" Discord slowly crawled out from her box barricade looking at the cellar door.
She waited for him to enter.

The Dwarf smiled to himself, then opened the door. He climbed down the stepladder and was greeted by Discord in front of her crate-wall. It would do her no good if an actual threat arrived, but whatever made her feel safe was welcome right now.
"I see you're making yourself at home. Very well." He held out his hand to Discord as he would when trying to comfort her. "Tell me, is the Angel's presence...noticeable to you, in any way? I want to make sure you're comfortable."

Discords smile faded slowly at the menchin of the angel upstairs. slowly bringing her arms up defensively holding her hands clenched under her chin she nodded slowly. "i scene him, not as Scary as D told me, but i scene him....has pretty voice...i like his pretty words."
looking back at thoror, she tilted her bringing her arms down. "i also know someone else is there, three voices, three males." she slightly muttered. turning slowly, as she played with her skirt she noticed some of the boxes had moved. adjusting it and placing more boxes up discord smiled. "but Discord is okay, if Little man is worried, Discord almost went upstairs to see pretty voiced man if it wasnt for the other voice." she confessed finishing with the boxes.
Slowly she turned and noticed her untouched food. her stomach ached from hungry but cooked food didnt appeal to her. "discord might go for walk soon, So long as Angel doesn't hurt Discord, Discord will be okay." She reassured the dwarf with a smile.

Lygari turned to Avail with a smile. Things like sorrow got so exhausting after all. "I am sure the pleasure is all mine." instead of shaking the offered hand, the angel took it into his own and gave it a kiss as he made his trademark dramatic bow. He liked to make good first impressions, and those had to be friendly, warm, and inviting. Or at least that was what his research into mortal life led him to believe.

The wind direction made it so that Aalis didn't smell the smoke until she was almost all the way "home". Of course, the Tavern wasn't really home, that was Guile, no matter where he was. But, it was where worked, and technically she held a small room there. It was plain, with only a little bed they'd share when it was too cold outside to comfortably bed down in the forest with her mate. She'd asked Thoror specifically for a small, uselessly cramped room. Something that wouldn't be mourned over for wasted space. No matter how much she'd taken to trusting the dwarf, she didn't trust anyone else that frequented the tavern whatsoever. As such, her most important possessions stayed with Guile no matter what. He grumbled about it sometimes, having to lug around and protect her junk, but he understood, and knew she'd do the same for him.
The first thing that reached Aalis wasn't the smoke, it was the sound of Lygari's voice. Immediately, she twitched her hand over her shirt, where a musical instrument lay protected by her furs and clothes. It was cool and smooth against the skin between her breasts, and her fingers twitched with muscle memory, automatically wanting to try to figure out how to play the melody. But she didn't dare take it out from beneath her layers. The cold was dangerous for nearly every instrument, and those that it didn't damage, it made sound thin and too highly tuned.
Then the thought of music left her, as she rounded a street corner and both the sight and smell of the devastation hit her at once. One hand clutched her concealed instrument, and the other clutched a leather bound book she'd made, both arms wrapping around her chest, hugging herself to feel smaller. Eyes wide like saucers, she ran towards the tavern, and then slowed, stopping just before going into the ruins. She scanned the destruction, spotting the deceased, and then finally, the angel standing in the middle of it all.
He had such a stark contrast to his surroundings, that Aalis didn't take her eyes off of him for the longest time, barely even noticing the other man. He was like a living oasis in the middle of a dead wasteland. Bight, where everything else was dark. Calm, where everything was in disarray. Lively, where everything else was... Tears in her eyes, she finally stepped forward, carefully picking her way through the ashes and debris. Slowly, she approached, not saying anything at first, until she drew near enough to speak quietly and still be heard.
Her voice was small, weak. Any louder, and it would break, and she'd start to cry. "That... was you, wasn't it? The singing..."

It wasn't to far of a stretch to say that it wasn't the greeting he was expecting, but it was actually more akin to his own greeting than the "handshake" that the civilized folk used. Avail was about to jest to the angel when a woman rushed to speak to him, now most people would be offended by the act of bursting into a conversation as such. However Avail just gave a curt nod to the woman. Honestly he didn't doubt that they would have more to talk about than he would. Avail knew very few songs, and the ones he did now lacked a certain grace that these two seemed to carry.
He'd always enjoyed bards as a whole, those who had the gift of song were in his humble opinion, a special breed. They captured the hearts of many with but simple words, made wind into tune, danced with the grace of water. Truly something to be idolized. However he was born with no such gifts, simply his strength, which in the end had saved him countless times. To that end he considered himself lucky he supposed. Though to hold the grace of either of these two fine people was far beyond a beast like him.
The larger man turned his head away from the two, in hopes of finding something of a distraction for his idled mind, honestly he began to wonder what Thoror might have been up to, perhaps the dwarf was in need of some assistance? If not then Avail would more than likely head off, and help with the rebuilding in the evening, perhaps give a report to his....employer? He shrugged his shoulders walking in the direction that Thoror had walked, he gave a gruff grunt from the top of the stairs, not quite moving to look down them, this was not his place to go spying. "Thoror, I think it best to begin rebuilding in the morning, not much I could do in the fading hours of twilight." He admitted "Unless there is something you'd wish of me? Assistance for any current matters?"

Thoror took back his hand and smiled softly. "He does have a pretty voice, doesn't he?" The voice was the only remotely desirable thing coming from the angel to Thoror, for reasons he wasn't quite ready to accept yet. 'May I tell him you said that? He knows you're here."
He could only half-pay attention to Discord's response, as he was soon hailed from upstairs. Something about rebuilding, it seemed.
"Pardon me, Discord, but I must see to this." Thoror said. He started up the stairs and opened the trapdoor as he continued. "I'll be right back. Don't be scared, I will assure these people do no harm to you."
As he exited the cellar he was greeted by Avail towering over him, the difference in heights emphasized by their positions in the building. He chuckled to ease himself, then stepped out of the cellar and faced the man from he Church.
"I'm sorry Avail, I didn't quite catch that. Would you mind repeating yourself?" In the next room the Dwarf heard yet another voice, this one much more familiar. With all these people he could only imagine how uncomfortable Discord was. He couldn't wait until he could talk these people out elsewhere.

Discord watch silently as the dwarf left, the light from the door fading from her features as it closed. As he left she couldn't help but be worried despite his words. She moved up the stairs slowly like a cat on prowl, pressing her ear on the trapdoor to listen to the people above. Within a moment she could hear a new voice.

Avail gave a slight grunt as the dwarf seemed more than a tad distracted, "I asked if you were wanting me to wait until the morning to assist you, as there was not quite much I can do in the fading hours of twilight." He said simply "Perhaps it best that I return to the church and we start early in the morn?" He offered scratching his cheek a bit he wasn't exactly one for heavy thinking, more of a straight forwards kinda guy, but not much he could really do when it came to fixing the bar during the night.
He gave a small rumbling groan as he looked down to the cellar, not quite looking in simply just down, at the door no less, almost hearing something "I think you might have rats, perhaps get a cat in here....As for my being here I was wondering if there was something you'd like my assistance with right away." He offered once more hoping this time the dwarf would hear him, he would certainly hope so as they were now....abdomen to face? Most were shorter than him, though a dwarf was a whole new league of stoutness compared to his large body.
