His words were almost too painful to recognise, and so she simply turned away from him and headed towards the stairs. She knew that she was to die, and that wasn't going to be the death of a martyr of of a hero.
Only the death of a tragic villain guilty of lust.
"I was the Raven's preferred servant. I did all that he asked of me," she began to mutter, almost poetically. "You could say that with my cunning mind, I was almost like him. For that, I should suffer like he will."
She stopped at the door and hung her head. "If the bards do sing of me, then it shall be the tale of how I found my head on a pike." With that, she turned the knob, swung the door open, and sauntered out of the Church, the cold air nothing on her warm, red skin.
That tale would follow her to the grave.
