So the choice had been made, admittedly Avail was a tad hurt that she would choose the way of the vampire over his own but he would accept it. The massive wolf sat down legs crossed as he put his arms down on his lap soon his fur faded and his body shrank down into its normal size, content that he would not need to rend anyone's flesh he decided he'd simply sit and listen to those around him. Avail had not spent much time in the basilica and in all honesty he found it strange how Thistle allowed one of his pack to talk down to him in such a manner, but he'd been taught that it was the way of the world sometimes? Civilized folk were a strange lot.
The large wolf man breathed out looking to Ashen "Perhaps its best that we take our leave and let these two hash out what hostilities they have for each other?" He could smell the burning on Ashen, even if it was fainter she was still probably in some pain, emotionally or otherwise. The man stood up patting Rook's shoulder as he walked past her towards the door shifting past Thistle with a bow of respect and a "Alp-Sir." Catching himself at the last second. As he walked out the door he wasn't sure if the cat would follow him or not, but he knew he should not be in there for what was about to transpire.

"there is no need for you to apologize Rook, im just thankful you able to forgive me after what I did. I would of done the same thing if I was in your shoes and it was Maria. I just wanted to explain, and to fix my mistake, my horrible...horrible... Mistake. I was scared, yes. frightened that I was damned, Hells I still am...but I didn't want to attack you, fear and anger just...took over and the curse...it activated when I feel those thi-" Ashens words where cut off from the sudden sound of Thistles voice, she didn't even hear him come in. her back straighten as her cheeks became warm with embarrassment. 'Shit! if this wasn't humiliating enough....' she cursed as Rooks 'leader' entered the area.
shaking off his intrusion with a sigh she still felt the wave of relief wash over her. 'at least she understands, and she accepted my apologies. that was more then I could ever do or ask for. if i where her I would have skinned me alive.' she thought. her gaze turned to Avail when his form turned human. his voice calm but firm. his words where true, she sensed that Rook wish to talk with thistle and her time was done with Rook. she didn't want to over stay her welcome. 'perhaps i should wait outside with avail, I need to apologize to him also for my behavior...besides, the pain is getting to be a bit much for me...' she thought as Avail walked past her.
Wipeing her face clean, she rose. walking slowly toward rook, making sure she could see every single one of her movements. due to the gravitiy of the situation, ashen moved unnaturally quite, making sure she made no stepping noises. as if she wasn't even touching the floor, thanks to her old training. slowly she placed her hand right above rooks chest. her hand glowing a slight green as she chanted the words a scout used to heal ones injuries. once she was done she took a few steps back and bowed to Rook. "thank you...if you ever need anything please ask. you will get many favors from me, and I have many talents that may be useful to you. please...do not hesitate to ask. again....im so sorry." She straighten after offering her standing proposition.
turning around again not making no sounds, she fetched her sword and cloak from the door way shifting past Thisle. following the Dog out of the church, as she also retreaived the rest of her weapons and walked slightly off holy ground, the thin layer of heat left her skin as she shuddered a breath. adjusting her belt across her chest, she kept her gaze to the ground. "are you going to kill me pup? I wouldn't blame you, I hurt one of you pack. im the leader of a pride myself and I would be fighting the urge not to rip apart anyone who harmed my kin. I did a horrible act. I wouldn't forgive myself, hell im not forgiving myself. this damned curse is ruining my life... I don't blame you for hating me, I wish you saw me before this... it might be hard to believe but...im not a bad person...I swear" she spoke softly, loud enough for the lycans hearing to catch.

Slightly taken aback at the reaction that his arrival had caused, Thistle stepped into the warmth of the basilica, sidestepping Ashen and Avail. "Good talk" he murmured under his breath. "Pleased to see you as well." Matching Rooks' gaze, he crossed his arms, unimpressed with what he saw. "Bloodsucker, eh? I won't deny it, but don't go telling everybody you meet. It still is a rather well kept secret, I'll have you know." He inhaled slowly, testing the air for emotions left lingering. Sorrow, Helplessness, anger, shame, confusion... Nothing new. Thistle uncrossed his arms and approached the knife wielding woman. "Debt? I'll wager that I'm missing something here. Care to fill me in before you attempt to stab me?" He asked, voice level.

The healing sensation from Ashen left Rook with a shudder, and her vigor was further restored. She nodded towards her and Avail as they left, and watched the door until the only ones left in the Basilica were her, and Thistle.
"Stab you? Well, I see where your faith in me stands." She grumbled, and threw the knife backwards, sending it clanging and rolling awkwardly to a halt across the floor. "Do you really think I'd have such ill wishes towards you, who lets me stay here?" Truth be told, she was partially upset that he would even accuse her of premeditated violence, but the other part of her felt that if this conversation didn't go as she had hoped... it was a possibility.
No. I don't want to hurt him. I just need a favor. He's changed others before, hasn't he? Would he really stop short of helping me out? She cringed inwardly and looked up at Thistle.
"Would you terribly mind having another vampire around?" She asked vaguely, feeling far too cautious to ask him directly to change her. "I'm a tad desperate. I need your help, please." Her hands fidgeted together, and she broke her eye contact with him.
"I mean, I was just wondering if you could rid me of this terrible humanity I'm afflicted with. I'm tired of feeling like prey." She laughed halfheartedly. "Not for free. It doesn't have to be for free. List what you need. I'll get it for you." She spoke fast, and found herself cracking her knuckles, looking at the floor. How is it that I'm now considering thievery again, in order to have myself mutated, just so I can deny that angel from entering my mind and giving me thoughts that I already possess? Everything she was doing seemed counterproductive, at that point. Everything I'm willing to do for this vampirism is exactly what Drethiel drove me to do before. I thought I was finished with that kind of dishonest, slimy life when he left. But if that's to be true, then why does it still feel like second nature to be secretive, tell incomplete truths, and take what isn't mine?
Rook frowned and dropped her hands. She didn't know what to do anymore, and the only thing she was focused on was self-preservation. What exactly am I trying to achieve? This is pathetic madness.
"Please, Thistle, just turn me. I will be honest with you. I want to go home and be safe in my travels. If anyone dares attack me, I'll bare my teeth and hiss." She sighed. Being serious without a hint of jest wasn't her style. "I will return, though. You haven't lost an ally, I promise."

Avail looked at her calmly, it had been awhile since someone had called him pup, a long while in fact, "I am not like you cat." He spoke his words without malice, simply informing her. He sat cross legged on the grass, his eyes looking up at the sky a smile on his lips at the light cloud cover above, his hand raised up and scratched at his cheek "I was taught to give second chances to those around me, you are no different." He looked over with rather strange happy eyes, holding not hatred towards the poor cat woman, sure she had stabbed him, but it wasn't anything he couldn't heal, if she touched Rook again he wouldn't stop himself of course but as of now he didn't feel the need to rend her flesh anymore.
"You are aware that I am too technically cursed yes?" He asked breathing out as he stretched out with a loud flop landed on the grass smiling as the cold dew touched his back, his body stretching out on it "Born with it or not, my parents were both turned, forced to deal with their curse themselves they brought me up on stories of how my life was different from your average humans." He closed his eyes thinking back on the story, "To them, the curse was a means to make themselves better, the never ending hunger, restraint, the anger of a thousand men, patience, the strength to break the bones of a lesser man, humility. Through all of this my parents taught me lessons and raised me to who I am on this day. Though, I do not believe your curse is quite as character building." He admitted looking back to Ashen, his eyebrow cocked as he waited for the cat to speak, patting beside him on the cool grass for her to sit and relax with him.

Ashen was Confused at his kindness, not many gave her the ability to correct her wrongs without taking a good chunk out of her. she stood there baffled and her head tilted to the side as he spoke. 'what is this? why is he not trying to kill me...second chances? what the hell is a second chance?! why are you acting so kind?! you should hate me!!... don't you?'
lost in her thoughts, her expression turned to pain as the up bringing of the word curse raised. she would give anything to get ride of these curses, even take on another. she listened intently to his words, Humility...patience...restraint...even more strange words to her. she was raised to never show restraint...or humility, however patience for others she knew very well, just never for herself. she straightened with a slight jump suddenly as the Wolf patted the ground beside him.
'he wants me to be NEAR HIM?!?! has he been eating mushrooms from the forest? this could be a trick, to bring down my guard and kill me quietly...ill play this game, see if its worth playing.'
she slowly but silently moved near the location he patted. she sat somewhat cross legged, keeping one leg up so she could quickly bolt if she needed. "no..it sounds like your curse is heaven compared. I'm sure you don't see or hear the...never mind." she said quietly letting out a shuddered sigh as she wrapped herself in her cloak, the night air freezing compared to her skin after the heat pooled off of her from the church. looking off to the distance, she couldn't seem to bring herself to look at him properly. "I healed her. however I can only heal once a day, how does your wound fair? I am sorry for how I acted, for what I did...I hope your not mad that I healed her first." her words still quite as her tail wrapped around her upright leg, her eyes still drooped. slowly reaching into her pouch she took out a small, tightly bound package.
"here" she spoke holding it out for him. "it is herbs, I gathered them to heal wounds when I can not. I have no bandages all you have to do is mix them with water to make a paste and apply it to your injury. spit works best. they taste horrible, and stings like hell. it works like a dream though... I always gather them, just encase. better to have them and not need them, then to need them and not have them." she trailed as she tried her best to void making eye contact with his eyes.

For a long time, Thistle stood still, unspeaking. His thoughts tumbled around, all his attention on the quandary Rook had faced him with. It seemed that the lately, morality was nigh impossible to define. Thistle didn't know what was right, what to do, what "good" meant anymore. After long, silent minutes of deliberation, he spoke.
"Rook, do you realize what you are asking? Being... this isn't a gift. I chose this life because I didn't want to have others suffer. Vampirism... it may look like it's a good thing to have, but trust me, it twists you. The power is almost more than I can bear." He sighed, feeling unsettled. "I will turn you, but I don't want to be thanked for it. I want you to know what you are asking me to do is the worst thing you could have asked for." He paused, before continuing. "I'm leaving soon. This might be the last you see of me. If you want to be in my debt, then repay me by using the curse for good. Save people, fix lives... Don't become a monster." He bent down and picked up the dagger she had dropped. Reaching down to his now empty blood flask, he placed it on a nearby table. Raising the knife over top of the flask, he asked one more time. "Are you sure you want this?"
