General Zell made his way through the massive halls of the palace. No passing guard dared make eye contact with him, both intimidated and or afraid. But even if they had, the general probably wouldn't have noticed. Sweat beaded on his forehead from the pain that was sparking through his body originating from the poisonous white light that had been inflicted on him.
He still had to deal with that half demon child that was locked in the dungeon. Hopefully the Lord would take care of the issue, she was his little pet anyway. Had it been up to him she wouldn't be left to run amok, bringing violent human plane creatures to his domain. It made him angry, her lack of respect and sanity. Or maybe that was just the poison getting to him.
Exiting the palace, he made his way into the massive army camp, searching for a medic to mend his torn wing.

harkat flew around the camp, he wasn't really part of halizars army but he was welcome to do as he saw fit. seeing a few demons get into a fight he landed close to them, walked up and grabbed two of them and crushed their skulls together, both of them dropped to the ground dead almost instantly. "THATS ENOUGH, NOW GET BACK TO WORK MAGGOTS" harkat barked at the rest of them, most of the lesser ranking demons knew to fear harkat. harkat commanded the wind to pick him back up, it did so at-will. even from afar he could see one of halizars lap dogs coming towards him, harkat had no love for those that wished to kiss up to halizar, or those that groveled at halizars feet, but halizar seemed to enjoy it.

There was always a commotion among the ranks. Squabbles and battles, training and in-fighting. But this particular commotion drew the general out of his thoughts enough to pay attention to what was going on. A demon he had never seen before killed two demons and then had the audacity to give them an order. Narrowing his eyes at the unknown man, Zell's expression was otherwise calm and indifferent.
What was even happening today? Was everyone going mad? First the half-demon and her human pet, and now this insurgent.
Continuing walking through the camp, demons backed away from him, stopping their training or tasks to bow quickly. It might appear to be respect but in reality, the general knew that they were just afraid he would fry them. But even as he walked, his attention never left the suspicious demon in the air.

harkat leaned back floating in the air slowly, seemingly just hanging there as if an invisible rope held him suspended over the other demons. harkat hated halizar and his lackeys but if there was one person he hated more it was balthazar. harkat HATED him with an undying rage that would consume this whole plane if a fire that would last for thousands of years.
'but what good does it do? even if i were able to kill him... i can't control an army of that size... i must seek more power' harkat told himself this constantly but none the less just like anyone else he wished, he hoped, he dreamed of becoming a warlord.
he stayed in the air making it dance, making it twirl around his fingers like an imaginary coin.

'That's very interesting', Zell thought as he observed the demon in the air. He was floating, not flying. 'So he has air abilities'. An element controller, much like himself, meant that he was probably a strong adversary. But he wasn't sure he was even up for a battle, not while injured and poisoned.
Stopping completely, the general turned to face the demon in the air. Face unreadable he stared up the the demon, raising his brows expectantly.

harkat stopped as his finally did a complete flip, hes eye were still closed but he was facing the demon general, feeling the a presence much stronger than halizars normal lackeys. harkat opened his eyes to see the general face to face, his yellow hair and horn matched but something seemed off with him, his wing was injured but that wasn't it either, harkat couldn't put his claw on it but he felt like he should know this demon but the face didn't seem to ring any bells.
"can i help you? or do you wish to end up like the two over there?" harkat said pointing towards the demons he had just recently crushed. "or has "haaaaalizaaaar" sent you to collect me?" he said rolling his eyes

Zell laughed at the wind demon's words, his voice deep and ringing. "End up like them? No, I think not." He clasped his hands behind his back, his armor gleaming in the red light. "I would like to ask you, however, what gives you the right to command these demons, not to mention discipline them."
Face still a mask of indifference, Zell's one showing eye bore into Harkat's. "You're not a part of this army, after all." He knew personally the stronger demons in his ranks, because they were always his go to people for missions. This man...he'd never laid eyes on before.

"you are an observant one" harkat said rolling his eyes at the general and landing in front of him, now standing face to face. harkats black hair began to flow in the wind that he created. "halizar likes power, and i mean what warlord does not? as im sure you've figured out by now i can make the winds dance, quite a useful trick on the human plane." he laughed as he sat down on a near by rock and pulled out his wooden pipe, packed it full of bloodthistle. he reached down for a match and struck it, lighting his pipe but allowing the fire to burn the rest of the stick.
"and who might YOU be?" harkat said as he exhaled the redish smoke of the bloodthistle plant

Expression unchanging, Zell's golden eye moved from the man to the fire slowly flickering down the small foreign object. The human plane, hm? There was more to this demon then meets the eye it seems. Raising his armor clad arm he casually plucked the tiny flame from the match, playing with it across his hands as if it were a coin.
"You avoided my question." The general's unwavering gaze fell back to the other demon. "I asked you why you think you have the right to command these soldiers. If Halizar has given you power of these men, he has yet to inform this armies general, and even so, you would be inferior in rank of him."

"rank means nothing to me anymore, i have no need of it. i could wipe this "army" with a simple flick of my wrist, only a few would be able to stop me" he said while watching Zell play with the fire like a coin.
'another elemental user... i may have underestimated this one...' he began to understand why this demon had started talking to him in the first place. elemental power in demons although not extremely rare is a form of magic most don't understand nevermind control it.
"i imagine you could just as easily do the same" harkat said grinning at the other demon. "General, i presume?" harkat said as he point towards Zell figuring he was a high ranking demon of halizars army to begin with, based on how the other demons reacted around him, how his armor shined brighter than most others, and now seeing that he was an elemental user. if he was anything like harkat, he wouldn't settle for anything less than his own army to control, after all power is everything.

"Wipe out twenty thousand? Even I couldn't accomplish such a feat." Zell allowed the fire to grow, enveloping his hand before closing his fist and snuffing it out. This demon was over confidant. It was a very dangerous quality to have, he had learned that himself centuries ago.
"If rank doesn't interest you then what does?" He raised a brow slightly, a tiny smirk pulling at his lips. "You're correct, I am general. And if you are going to become a problem for me or my ranks then I won't stay my blade." Hopefully he would be able to make it to the healer before anything came to blows. It was a difficult task, hiding the effects that the white light was still having on him. Even now, his forehead gleaned with sweat. Not to mention his inability to fly at the moment. He would have to get the huge tear repaired before he was able to take to the sky again.

"we wont have a problem here, infact you're just the person i wanted to talk to" harkat smirked as his mind raced over his talk with zume and sylver back on the human plane.
"I come to warn you, the "whiiiite laaady" has raised an army to exterminate our foot hold on the human plane, this cannot happen... i believe there is an untapped power source there, not a well but some form of raw power" harkat rolled his eyes as he referred to the white lady.
"all i ask of you general, is come with me to the human plane and kill some mortals, something i know you'll be very good at" harkat said with a wink taking another puff of the wooden pipe. harkat had stood back up and was pacing around in a circle contemplating whether or not that this force would be big enough. "you are strong general and my... accomplices would like to see how well you can perform on the human plane"

The general snorted. "You're little squabble on the human plane means nothing to me. There is a war of the greatest magnitude being fought right now, I don't have the time or energy to deal with anything else."
He frowned, eye narrowing. "I have twenty thousand on the front line, thousands deserting once they find out that Destael is dead, and so many more dying. Balthezar is the strongest foe that I've faced and my own army is in chaos." He couldn't care less about inter-planer dealings, and even if it was a time of relative peace he still wouldn't. Zell was content with his current life and position. He didn't strive for any more power or wealth or fame, that just put a bigger target on your head.
"Now, I need all the men I can get, if you're not going assist Halizar and this army in this battle against Balthezar then please do, at least, refrain from killing my people." Zell's lilting, accented voice was now becoming irritated. His head was pounding, his wing hurt and he was getting impatient.

harkat cringed at the sound of balthazar's name, he HATED him with an undying passion.
"you want me to fight balthazar's soldiers?" harkat smirked as he put out his pipe and tucked it away. "gladly" harkat spoke softly now, his voice barely a whisper. the tribal markings on his body began to twist and turn, glowing a slight azure blue haze. "i may not be a part of your army, but if fighting with you means killing those idiots..." harkat smiled a wide but yet menacing grin. he commanded the wind to pick him, offering his hand the the general so he could fly as well without the use of his wing. "first things first, lets see what we can do about those wings of yours"

The general smirked, glancing at the ground for a moment before looking up at the other demon. "It will be nice to have someone who appears to be strong to call upon when the war escalates."
Not accepting the offering of assistance, Zell stepped past Harkat to continue down the path. He was the last demon who would ever accept anyone's charity. To him, that felt like a blow to his pride. "This tear in my wing is not the worst of my injury or the end of my trouble." It was getting harder not to display the pain and exhaustion he was feeling. "I'm poisoned."
