Glancing around, Thistle absentmindedly wondered how Halizar kept his hair white in all this dust, as he digested the news about D. memories came flooding back, the headless warlord lying in front of the white temple... Balthesar's gloating face...
"Wait. She's here, but she's dead? What the heck does that mean?" The monk asked, cocking his head curiously.

"Beats me." She mumbled before she leaned against the frame of the window. "Is that the only part that you were concerned about?" Star questioned irritated that thats all e has to say.
Standing up straight again she turned and began walking again. She thought about taking him a different way, toward the dungeons instead of the throne room, knowing thistle something is always going to happen and its usually his fault in the first place.
Taking another turn down a hall that was lined with red fabric on the walls she knew exactly where she was even though she ha gotten lost in these halls more then once.
Star pushed on the heavy doors, magic doing half the work the door opened.

"Well, it was the part that stuck out the most." Thistle grumbled before following the scout through the pair of doors.

Starfire rolled her eyes before she entered. She walked backwards her arms open. "Welcome to the throne room." The room was empty and she was greatful about that. She sat in the throne, something she had never done before. The room was big, to the left there was a set of stairs but she thought she would take thistle there after.
"What do you think?" She questioned as the big heavy doors closed behind thistle.

Thistle dropped to his knees, a look of pure indifference covering his features. "My lady." He joked, bowing his head towards Starfire. "I am at your service" Laughing, Thistle got to his feet. He walked around the room, gathering any information that would be useful in a fight. Finished his survey, he snorted. "This is it? " he asked, incredulous. "Here I was expecting something a bit more... Well, a bit more everything." He marched over to the throne, resting his foot on one of the armrests. "Are we staying here? Or is there something else you would like to show me?"

Starfire giggled at his comment. "Maybe you should bow down to me more often." A snide smirk went across her lips as she pushed hus foot off the arm of the chair. "Told you not to touch anything..."
She thought about taking him to the well, she didn't want to but there was a feeling inside her tugging at her to take him downstairs. "Upstairs or downstairs, your choice."

Thistle quickly caught his balance, spinning away from the chair. He was having FUN. Here in the throne room, Destaels throne room... He laughed, voice echoing about the grand room.
"That depends" he replied with a smile. "Which one will lead to me not dying a horrible and gruesome death?"

"Both." She said with a slight shrug and a smile. Her human ties failed to vanish but she didn't care unless Halizar was around. Which was rare. "One thing I love about this room is the space. Watch this."
Star said before she stood up with a running start her wings began to move faster and she was in the air. She loved flying. It was one of the advantages the Demon plane had. She smirked before she landed stumbling a bit. "Still haven't fully got the landing but its fun."

Seemingly coming from no where a deep voice suddenly echoed through the hall. "Being a general of an army, you can probably imagine how much stupidity and insolence I've had to deal with over the years. But what I'm seeing here tops all of it." From a dark doorway partially hidden by a massive red curtain a demon appeared. His steel boots clanking loudly on the smooth ornate floor, he stepped to the middle of the room before turning to face the intruders. He was tall, his golden hair sweeping to one side and falling to hide an eye, while the other, golden and dangerous glared at the two. "You would dare loiter here, child? You and your...." His eye narrowed as he looked the monk up and down skeptically. "lesser." He wasn't getting any power sense from the man. Was he just remarkably lacking power as a lesser or was he....something else. Armor gleaming, he flared his golden wings out in a sign of dominance. "You may be Lord Halizar's pet, but if you dare sit in that throne again, I will take it as a formal challenge of power and would gladly accept that challenge in my lords stead." Tapping the tip of his weapon on the gleaming tile, he growled. "You may have held your own in one single battle, but don't think for a moment that makes you any more then you are." Here, in this ornately carved and gleaming throne room where he had seen the rise and fall of three separate warlords and heard countless echoing battle cries fade into the darkness of the impossibly high ceiling he now found children playing. It really shouldn't have surprised him after the headaches he'd dealt with in the past few weeks. First his warlord was suddenly a woman, then he had to deal with a half demon on the throne, creatures of another plane were milling about, his warlord died, Balthezars forces were attacking and his own army was in chaos. Now this...

Whipping around at the sound of the newcomers voice, Thistle let loose a low growl. With blinding speed, he ran to Starfire's side, whispering "Throw it straight up." He continued around, drawing 2 of his hidden knives and rushed at the demon, teeth bared.
This was his chance. Thistle had fought many monsters won. He had killed ice giants, fire elementals, huge spiders, demons, devils, dragons, and ghosts. He was in his element here. The strength that flowed through his veins was unbelievable. He grinned widely as he rapidly closed the distance between him and the Demon.

Starfire turned around at the voice. 'Shit.' Her mind started to race as she watched Thistle pull a weapon, she should have known, she kinda thought about it. "You piece of shit." She said as she rested a hand on his shoulder and pulled him back placing her other hand on his waist throwing him down to the ground. Star picked up her staff and held it to his chest, anger replacing everything. "I told you not to pull any bull shit and you tried this." She said her open hand extended.
Taking a deep breathe she turne back around. "My apologizes." She said bowing before him, her staff still pointed at Thistle's chest. "My idiot friend, thought you were well dangerous, which you are. But, can I explain something to you, I'm not Halizar's "pet", i'm not his "slave" either. Thats ridiculous." She glared at the Demon wearing heavy armor.

The general walked briskly down the hall until he finally towered over the scout. Looking down his nose at her, he frowned, eye flicking from her to her companion. "You're a fool if you think that your not his pet. If it was not his desire, you wouldn't have fought in that last battle. I wouldn't have allowed it." His voice was slightly accented, containing an odd lilt. Tipping his head to the side he frowned. "Speaking of pets, keep yours under control. I wouldn't want to have to put him down." Getting a closer look it was obvious that the man wasn't from this plane. Human? Perhaps. If that was the case, he might decide to kill him regardless of the girls wishes. In fact, he'd love to kill the girl as well and only refrained because of his warlords command. He wasn't partial to woman and he wasn't partial to weaklings.

Thistle felt his heart drop as a force grabbed him form behind, effectively stopping him. He then found himself lying on the ground, back aching. Only momentarily though, as his body quickly repaired itself. He somersaulted away from the demon's leering face, Launching himself up and backwards at the end of his roll. He twisted around, landing neatly on the back of the throne. Turning to face the newcomer, he bent down to pick up his trusty Glaive.
"Put me down? I'd like to see me try." Thistle sneered, face ugly with anger. He looked to the blue winged scout. "Well? What will it be? Choose your side, Starfire. Will it be me? Or Halizar?" Thistle spat the last word, spittle landing on the throne beneath him.
"Choose."

Starfire rolled her eyes as she flew over beside Thistle landing gentle. "I can't "chose"." She said in a low whisper. "Even though i'm treated like shit here, Destael was my warlord and now it is Halizar, I have to follow his orders, its not my choice. It's Halizar's." she lowered her head a bit pain of the words that had been coming out of her mouth. "I explained this to you while we were trying to save Destael, the human side of me, trusts you and believe's you'll make the right desion and put down your weapon and trust me. But the demon side is glued here, to this land. My soul belongs to Halizar."
She was pained by everything, but that replaced easily. "As for you, you need to step down, I may be a lady here but it doesn't mean I can't fight beside you, you are mot the boss of me, and I will not stand around and take this crap from you." She glared at the Demon, furious but still trying to protect Thistle from gettig hurt. "And i'm NOT, Halizar's pet."

The general narrowed his eye. "You're both children." He grunted. "Fools." He swung his weapon expertly around his body until it was held firmly in his right hand. "You may have skill boy. And perhaps you're powerful on your own plane. But this is my domain. I was there the day Destael's ghost division attacked the city. I was there when we brought him down and took his wing. I was there when he emerged broken and beaten from the dungeon. I was there when he killed Jynxux, my original warlord. I saw him reign for centuries and then disappear. I commanded Obareons armies after he took control and I saw the day Destael returned, very much a woman, and defeat Obareon in battle. You know nothing of this plane and the power here." He paused, frowning. "Lord Halizar may think it's fun to keep you around but let me tell you this, I AM the boss of you and if you do not stand aside I will not stay my blade from striking you down as well." Calming himself, Zell shut his eyes. The girl needed to be taught a lesson and the boy needed to die, simple as that. Gathering his power, he pushed back his hair with his left hand and tucked it behind his horn. Opening his hidden eye it flared with his power, glowing red until a flickering flame a lit within it. With a single hand he removed the red cape he wore, dropping it to the ground as fire sparked to life around him, swirling around his body until it engulfed him. Grinning as his steel armor heated he took a step forward, angling his now flaming blade towards the monk. "You wanted a battle. Now let's test that human plane strength of yours."
