"Power and Change" By Destael and Starfire
The red warlord sat in a patch of grass in the shade while trying to enjoy the breeze. Eyes shut firmly she tried to forget the awful events of the day. And here her week had started so nicely with her capture and revenge on that damned monk. But somehow in a blinks time he was attacking her and she found herself fleeing once more. The situation only got worse when he managed to track her, strike her down multiple times and steal her channel. What's WORSE is that idiot Zeal showing his face preaching his "talk first attack never" attitude. He had almost gotten her killed.
She had been afraid in that moment for the first time in ta long time. With no channel and no second chance tied up on the ground with more then one sword pointed at her...For an immortal, feeling ones mortality was a terrifying concept. She feared death.
Not to mention having to call of one of her people from a set attack which was difficult. Once a demon has latched onto a target it's hard to shake him off. And all to save that white woman's child which is the last thing she cared about but the situation had forced her hand.
Huffing a breath, Des tried to clear her mind. Maybe it WAS time to head home and recharge.

Thinking and processing today Star walked through the forest passing tree after tree. All she could think about was how stupid she was today. Joining the Church, really. She rolled her eyes at the thought, bow loaded and fire arrow charged she rounded and corner and saw Des sitting a short distance away. Star thought about running away and getting Thistle, catch her again but Star saw the way Des looked tied up. She looked weak. But hiw else were you going to talk to her. Just as she turned back around the tree she stepped on a branch. "Dammit..." She cursed under her breathe. 'What if I actually.... Talk to her. About switching...' She shook her head of the thought but stayed behind the tree fearing Des with her bow... But she had one to. Star sighed and turned around the tree slowly. "Hello Des." She stated with a satasfied smirk.

At the sudden sound, the demons golden eyes snapped open. Spinning around she was in a crouched position within an instant. One hand resting on her bow, the other on an arrow shaft, a growl rumbled in her chest. "You. What. You haven't messed with my life enough today?"
The scout was the last person she wanted to see. Not after the incident with her channel. Not to mention that moment. 'What if I killed you with your own sword'. The memory caused the growl to rumble louder.

She watched Des' handsmove towards her weapons. "I know i've said it before but I mean it this time," she began as she placed her bow on the ground along with the arrows and Des' sword. "I mean no harm. I'm here to ask for your help... Even though, I have done wrong towards you and have tied you up threatened you abd killed you. And took your channel. But I have a reason for that." She stood up again and placed her hands just above her head. "See, no weapons." Regreting the idea of placing them on the ground imediatly she stood close to them just in case. "I apologize, but I really would like it if I could ask or beg for your help..."

The demon stood, scoffing at the scouts words. "Every time you ask for my help, or offer your assistance I find a sword in my back more often then not. Why in the world should I trust you now?"
Des didn't draw an arrow but kept her hand at the ready. She didn't voice it but she was curious as to what the scout had to say. It must be pretty interesting if she dared show her face after what she pulled today.

Star bite her lip and hesitated to speak but took a deep breathe. "I want to become half... Demon. But I can't do that without your help..." She took a step back and rested against the tree beside her. "I know, it sounds stupid but its true." Her eyes met the demons as Star crossed her arms over her chest. "And I am truely sorry for the whole channel thing. Thistle took it then passed it to me because he was being questioned about it so much. But do you really think I was going to keep it. What use is it to me? I have always given you channel back to you once i had it." She stated trying to prove a point. "I only went after it after that because of Thistle."

The question caught her completely off guard, side lining her so bad she could do nothing but gawk, mouth opening and closing like a fish. "what." The word slipped out before she even thought about it. Of all the ludicrous notions she's heard in the past couple days (which had been a lot) this had to be the farthest one out.
Brow furrowed and eyes wide she spoke. "Where in all the realms did that idea come from?" This must be some kind of trick. Some kind of ploy or trap. "You? A demon? If I remember correctly you were the one trying to talk Thoror out of being my ally saying I was so manipulative and evil. Well I may be both of those but at least I'm not a hypocrite."

She shrugged. "I just think that i'd be better off a demon..." Star pushed herself of the tree and began to pace around. "The only reason I wanted Thoror to back down was because I needed you to die in order to get the channel before Thistle. Again, a way to protect the Channel. I did it before I did it again, you're welcome." She smirked and turned back toward Des she took a few steps closer to her, still cautious due to the arrows. "Will you do it?"

"I can't tell if you're blatantly lying or your logic is just that unintelligent." Brow still furrowed, she removed her hands from her weapons, crossing her arms. "Kill me....to take my channel which would kill me, to.....protect the channel which really does me no good since I would be dead? And then you expect me to thank you...? What!?" She through her hands out in front of her in a display of pure confusion and exasperation.
"Why in the world would I make you a demon when you can't even think up a plan that makes sense. Not to mention all of those times you betrayed and injured me. Maybe if you had helped me take down that damned monk rather then stealing the thing that's keeping me alive I would consider."

She rolled her eyes but thought about what she had aaid about the monk. "Well... I am getting closer to him." Slowly slowed her pace. "I'd do anything. I'm not lying. Why would I lie about something like this. I really want to be a demon. I think I could handle myself. It would also give me a reason to continue killing people, wouldn't it?" Star thought back on all the people she had killed and smiled about it. "I'd kill thistle if it meant me becoming a demon. I'd do anything!! Please." Becoming impatient she began to beg. She hated begging, it made her feel like a pet.

The demon frowned, turning to stare at the scout with a sideways gaze. Was she for real? "Uh huh. You think you could handle yourself. I very much doubt that." Although the prospect of the scout rampaging around wildgard was amusing... "You would kill the monk. Yeah. Sure. I assume you would kill the white lady and that dog as well then." He tone was mocking as she raised a brow.
"You've never needed a reason to kill before. This would just make you more of a threat, a bigger target." She snorted in disdain. "You think you could handle being grouped in with me and mine. That's an awful lot of hate."

Listening to each word she had to say she began to think it was hopeless but she wasn't going to give up yet, the demon hasn't killed her yet. "If killing the lady of the temple and the dog means turning me into a demon the so it shall be." Star bowed. "It may be difficult but it will be done. Plus, if there's another demon killing for "fun" then wouldn't it take some heat off you? Think about it." She turned back and walked to her bow and arrows, kneeling down she picked up the bow and crossed it over ber chest but she left the arrows. Star sat down next to them though but placed her arms across her chest and leaned against the tree. "How about this, if you change me into a half demon, i'll kill whom ever you ask. But! I will only harm Thistle if he tries to hurt you. First time though, i'll kill him..... Deal?"

The warlord snorted "Take the heat off me? No, I actually think quite the opposite. If I go though with this I will get a lot of hate about what I've done." She narrowed her eyes "And I don't do anything unless it benefits me."
"Do you actually think I'll make you a half demon if I don't demand your loyalty? I will be your warlord and you will kill whomever I like. I will take no questions or feedback about it." Her voice was demanding and angry. Things were different on this plane. She was treated like any other human. The hierarchy of the demon plane worked a little differently. If you didn't respect, you payed.
"So tell me. How exactly can I trust someone who is supposed to work for me if you still have emotional ties to that damned monk?"

"I understand that but I only have emotional ties to the "damned monk" because he's protected me more then once but not as much as Vija or Ursa." She looked down and studied the bear claw that hung around her neck. "I'd rather you be my Warlord then Thistle." Still feeling impatient she sighed. "You can trust me, I will obey your every order. I haven't made a promise like that before, only to my father and I never went behind my word on him. I stay true to certain people...." She trailed off as she sat up and leaned forward a bit. "By the way, nobody has to know that you did it. There's more then one Demon in Wildgard that could get blamed and do you really think i'd tell anybody." She rolled her eyes and brought her knees to her chest as she also adjusted her skirt so she wasn't showing anything. "Can you do it for me? Please?"

The demon narrowed her eyes opting not to reply to the scouts words. There were so many reasons why she shouldn't do it. Almost every shred of common sense she had was telling her it was a bad idea. Yet the entire concept interested her. To see the looks on those idiots faces when they realized their little scout was no longer theirs.
"Let go of all the ties to your human life. Your allies, your friends and your loyalties. You won't, after all, be human anymore. Pledge yourself to me and I'll do it."
