Name: Fallaryn Silvindr
Species: Elf
Company: N/A
Class: Archer
Credits: Lvl 3
Weapons: Bow (Feather), sword (Fern), dagger.
Current Abilities: Bowyer. Longbow. Accuracy.
Physical Description: Considered by some to be short for an elf, Fallaryn does not see it as an issue. Her brown hair is streaked with the silver of age, while her brown eyes have seen many years. There is a smattering of permanent scars here and there, each with their own story. Sometimes Fallaryn walks with a limp; if she kneels or crouches for an extended period, she has to stand up slowly and stretch out her right leg carefully.1
Garb: Cape, tunic, brown tabard, drawstring pouch around neck, belt, pants. (( WIP. ))
History:2 Lived to the far west of the Wild Lands as a youngling. Tried to be a healer once. Bothered by the Undead. Had a role in the war between the elves and dwarves.
Motives: Fallaryn does not wish for history to repeat itself, seeks to gain some allies, and hopes to find answers.
She has the instinctual desire to help others, usually in a selfless way, though Fallaryn will refuse to help if it goes against her beliefs. Always on the search for allies, Fallaryn knows not to let anyone get too close – doing so often causes more harm than good. Indeed, she does her best to bury her true feelings, for her innermost demons can be her undoing.
As she is not a fan of conflict and will avoid killing if she can help it, Fallaryn will try to find an excuse to destroy weapons. If there is enough strife going on, she can become a bit manic with this desire.
Be mindful of Fallaryn’s actions and words; the majority of the time, she does everything with deliberate intention – though of course, everyone makes mistakes every now and then. She also has the tendency to put more than one meaning behind her words.
Personal Motto: “Fly upon loyalty and honour. Fall from lies and greed.”
Role in Wildgard: Member of elven community. (Malloryn.)
Story Plot: Fallaryn has come to Wildgard, slowly but surely obtaining information. Her given name is known, but none know her surname. She had noticed there were a fair amount of Kintu in Wildgard, and she was made aware of there being elves too. Both aspects excite her, though she does her best not to show it. When she became aware of the latter, she felt safer in letting her identity as an elf be known.
There is a connection between Fallaryn and nature – it runs deep enough for her to speak with common trees, though such conversations are quite slow and mostly inconclusive. It was the trees that brought Wildgard to her attention; she followed their voices through the Wild Lands, finding her way to the place. Although she was warned about them, Fallaryn wishes to one day seek an audience with one or more of the druids, though she is biding her time in order to earn their trust first.
Upon arriving in Wildgard, Fallaryn first met Ursarius, who gave her bread and cheese. Later she met other individuals of Wildgard. After providing some help, the barkeep Thoror offered her shelter despite the fact that his tavern had burned down.
Though Fallaryn knew that Wildgard attracted trouble, she was not prepared for the deluge of events that would bring up old wounds and weaken her resolve. The worst was the day that a dark stranger turned many Wildgardians into Undead – Fallaryn had to spend some days away from Wildgard in an attempt to recover from the trauma.
When she returned, though, Fallaryn was subjected to another sinister occurrence: Corruption. She fell victim to it, and spent much of her energy trying to fight it off, to no avail - ultimately it gained control of her. In a rare stroke of luck, when she gave in the darkness lifted, releasing her. This left Fallaryn feeling guilty and confused.
Some days later a sinister creature took the souls of the Wildgardians while Fallaryn failed to put a stop to it. She came out of the struggle with a strange injury to her shoulder and learning that a portal had been opened.
As the weeks went by Fallaryn realized she needed help that could not be found in Wildgard, and as of late Fallaryn has been associating with mostly elven companions, old and new. She has not forgotten the friends she made in Wildgard, though at every turn Fallaryn is finding more often that she has to make choices she likes less and less.
Chronicles: (( Written IC for OOC reading. ))
Nov 25/12 - Winds and Strife
Dec 2/12 - Cookies and Blood
Dec 16/12 - Dead, Dead Again, and the Undead
The Path of Fear
Dec 23/12 - Why?
Dec 30/12 - Birdsong
Feb 3/13 - The Sharp Edge of Darkness
1. Fallaryn’s bad knee is both IC and OOC as it’s impossible to ignore OOC, so I found a way to make it IC. No, it wasn’t an arrow to the knee.
2. Bits of Fallaryn’s story will be shared when learned IC. This will take a long time of course, since everyone has a story to tell, and there are more important things to do than tell a boring story.
Side note - I intend on adding to this thread as Fallaryn’s story in Wildgard develops, so if everyone avoids replying to this thread it would be greatly appreciated. ^_^
