Jay walks into the house looking around. It's bigger then the house he lived in with his parents and two siblings. He looks back at Ashen, eyes wide. Could this really be her home? How big was her family? He stood there looking at her. Not knowing how to ask his questions.

"ah there we are, make yourself at home young one."she said as she closed the door behind her. stripping herself of her weapons and setting them in the holder beside the door. she walked over to the fire pit which was still barely lit. stocking the fire with logs and helping them catch on the new fodder. after they caught she straightened up clapping her hands free.
"that should warm up the room a bit. you must be cold, here!" she walked over to jay and offered him her cloak. "i hope your hungry i have had stew slowly boiling all day. i know i'm starving." she stood there waiting for him the take the cloak, the motherly smile never leaving her winter kissed cheeks. the glow of the fire glimmering there here hair. the glow also darkening her features almost warmly.

He looks at the cloak and takes it in his right hand, his other lifts slowly to his chin then away saying thank you the only way he knows how. He wraps the cloak around himself before his fingers trace the rips on his shirt. His eyes find hers. For once since his first change he feels safe. He rubs his stomach trying to tell her he is indeed hungry. Thinking back to the last time he ate he feels it must of been months. He looks around the house again just wishing he could ask her about her family.

"ill take that as your hungry, have a seat ill be right back with some warm stew. hope you like rabbit" Ashen walked into the kitchen after pointing to the table across the fire it, motioning for him to sit down. as she went to the kitchen she poured two bowls of steaming hot rabbit stew. she also to pour a type of fruity cocktail liquid into two cups. carefully she managed to put the spoons in her pocket and carry everything out the the table.
stepping around jay, and placing the bowls and cups on the table she tapped the bench connected to the table. "come sit and eat your fill." she smiled as she took the spoons from the pocket and placed one beside the far bowl and one near her. the fire would warm there backs while the stew would warm there bellies.
"its a type of fruit juice, i freeze it right when the winter comes and bring peice inside to melt when needed. keeps ones energy up." she said taking a drink and sitting down.

Jay sits down next to the woman and picks up the spoon. He nods at her and starts eating. It's nice to finally be eating a warm meal again. He eats slowly knowing if he eats too fast he'll get sick. He learned that the hard way. As he eats he looks at Ashen wondering if she has anymore questions for him, he didn't want it to be silent and he couldn't really ask many questions. Suddenly a thought popped into his head. His shirt was tattered and dirty from his travels and was very uncomfortable. He wondered if she possibly had a shirt he could wear. He taps her shoulder to get her attention before pulling on his shirt to try and convey his question. He prayed to the gods that she understood.

"hmm? whats wrong?" she looked at him, watching his movements. "cloths? oh yes your cloths are dirty arnt they. hmmm" she pondered. everyone in the house who was male was sightly or very much larger then him. she would have to come up with something else.
"so long as you dont mind wearing my cloths, i can go get them for you. all the other males of the house look to be larger then you, i promise i dont dress anything like typical females, its not practical for hunting or work" she jested and reassured. it was true, she didn't have very many feminine cloths. that type of clothing she reserved for feasts when she was invited, which was rare. excusing herself from the table, she darted upstairs quickly.
she fetching trousers, a belt, a plain white shirt and a dark hunter green tunic. happily she brought them down the stairs and neatly placed them behind the bowl. they where even folded nicely.
"when your done eating, then get changed. ill clean your cloths and from the looks of things they need repair, which ill do for you as well if you wish. personally, you can keep the cloth im going to let you borrow if you want. it looks like you need new ones anyway." she smiled as she sat back down beside him.
"i hope you dont take my jesters as something tricky, honestly when i see young bloods in need i makes me happy that i can help them. i never had that type of help growing up, and it was dangerously hard. so i know whats it like to have everything taken from you and you have to rebuild, all on your own. i see the pain in your eyes that i have, and im here to help. thats what being a leader or in this case a Dragon Mother is all about. this is my Clan home of the Silver Scale, i take in those who need help. all i ask in return before you go is do some choirs or a service and you can be on your way. However many i have taken in have desired to stay, and become part of the Silver Scale family. you are welcome to either side really. we only have one other warrior, Matsu. He is the Blacksmith of the Family." she smiled agian then took a few bites of her meal.
"sorry its been a while sense i have had company, i must be talking your ear off." she scratched the back of her head in embarrassment.

Smiling for the first time in a long time, he shakes his head when Ashen thinks she's talking his ear off. He's been alone this whole time and its nice having someone talk to him nicely. Looking down at his right hand remembering the scar. If he stayed would she start to believe he was a freak as well? He starts to think about the memory of how he got it and suddenly it's like he can't breathe. All he can think of is how they held him there and the feeling of the dagger piercing his flesh. He wants to run but he's frozen to the spot, eyes wide.

Ashen noticed his eyes widen. "jay are you alright?" she spook softly placeing her hand on his shoulder gently. "your safe here, i wont let anything happen to you while you in my care, and while i still draw breath, i promise. and when i make a promise, i keep it." still trying to keep her smile she was mostly concerned now. he looked scared as if something had happened or going to happen.

Feeling her hand on his shoulder he pulls out of the memory leaning slightly into her touch. He lightly traces the scars on his hand and wonders if she can feel the one his shoulder. He still doesn't fully understand why she's being nice to him but he feels slightly calmer now. He decides until he fully calms that he'll study he face maybe it'll give some kind of clue and that's when he notices it. Her eyes, they are feline. His jaw drops open in surprise. Is she like him?

"What's wrong?" Ashen asked curiously. Concern now over taking her features. It was hard to understand a boy who didn't speak. "Hang on this might make things easier." Ashen got up and went to a shelf near by grabbing a quill, ink bottle and parchment. After retrieving the items returning to her seat.
"Do you know how to write? If not I can teach you? I would make communication a tad bit easier on me." She nervously laughed after her statement, she felt embarrassed admiring she was having difficulty.

Jay takes the quill, ink bottle and parchment from her.Dipping the quill into the ink he thinks about how to tell her what is wrong. He decides to ask questions first. '1: how big is your family? 2: could you feel the scar on my shoulder? 3: are you like me?' He wants answers first before he tells her about why he panicked.

She was relieved he know how to write, this will make things easier for sure.
" 1. How big is your family?, we have many people just unfortunately they are a bit scattered we have a human healer a human warrior and Kintu monk 2 Kintu bunnies as well as myself a Kintu scout. We possible will have two more members soon, maybe even three if you are interested."
She returned to the parchment seeing the next question, she looked back at him setting. The parchment down, and removed her bracer and Armguard from the left arm revealing a huge scar down her upper arm all the way to her elbow, and she even pointed the the scar on her right cheek bone. "Everyone has there scars young blood, it depends on how you got them. Personally a scar is just the starting of a story for me." She smiled at him, she truly never judged one with scars, as a matter of fact she praised them, it meant you survived. Sure they where pretty and even some times deforming but the message was still there, the fact you where a survives.
She glanced over the paper once more and the question made her smile more, she met his gaze again, her jade feline eyes almost glowing with the light of fire. "You have yet to do anything to me which is a sigh oh betrayal or Ill will, so yes I like you. You remind me of myself when I was younger, I wasn't much if a talker when I was a young whelp like yourself."
She handed the parchment back to him incase he had more questions. "If you want to tell me more, I'm more then willing to listen. However cornering an animal will get you nowhere, i can wait till you come to me when you are comfortable. I don't want to hurt you after all." She stated as she took a few more bites of her meal.

He shakes his head at the last part. She didn't understand what he meant. He takes the parchment back and starts writing again. '1: No are you LIKE ME? Can you shift? 2: Would you tell me more about yourself?' Maybe this time she'd understand what he was asking. It's difficult not being able to talk

"Oh, OH, am I like you? Well if your Kintu the yes I can change into my feral form and birth form when I see fit, though people are more friendly to a human instead of a 9 foot tall panther" she chuckled.
"So you want to know more about me? Where do you want me to start?" She watched him, she knew he could form into and animal, now the question remained, was he Kintu or a changeling she had heard so much about.

He looks down sad, she wasn't like him, but then his head shot up a smile gracing his face when he heard her feral form. His second favorite to change to was a panther. Maybe they would be able to take runs tog- no he can't think like. Once she finds out he isn't a Kintu, which his father hated, but something worse she'd kick him out. Looking back down at the parchment thinking of where he wants her to start and think of where. Coming up with a decision he dips the quill in the ink well. 'just before you got your first scar'
