Looking down at the walnuts as if they were something foreign, Drethiel contemplated whether to tell this human about how he came to Wildgard. About how he came to the human plane, in fact, and how he wasn't allowed to go back to where he came from. Had he even bothered to share this information with anyone before? He couldn't even say for sure if mentioning his past would be incriminating towards him in the future. In any case, Hunter was not giving up so easily. Perhaps this was his last chance to hook him into the deal.
Drethiel's face expression was drawn out as serious, with the grim tone of his flashbacks. "What you want to hear and what I will tell you are two very different things. Why don't I start off with the fact that this isn't technically my body?" He picked up one of the half walnuts and examined it mindlessly, looking at the ridges and feeling the texture. "This vessel was originally that of a human. When I was exiled from the angelic realm, I was a mere little angel soul. While floating around the human plane is convenient for a while, being rather invisible and all, it's no way to live life to the fullest. Needless to say, body snatching didn't exactly earn me good behavior points with the heavens above either..." He placed the walnut back down on the table, and gathered up the halves in a pile. An uneasiness welled up in his stomach, and it wasn't helping his appetite. Was this really necessary? He tried to keep details at a minimum. "You could say that business led me here, and I'm hoping business will keep me here." He stated firmly, telling as much of the truth as he wanted to for now.
