Gavin MacNeil stood above the world; high enough on the roof of his tower that the only thoughts on his mind were the wind, which was blowing quite nicely, and the surprisingly large domain that had come to be his in the past few months. It had all started with this tower, a strong tower made of Firestone and Mithril mortar; both were souvenirs from his trip to the ruins of the fifth kingdom. After that he worked from dawn till dusk for almost 3 weeks with a small army of workers to construct the walls, which, after they were completed were a catalyst in how quickly the fort grew. It had been almost half a year, with many outposts of the Red Cohort popping up in various areas around Wildgard's surrounding area, all the while the fort was swamped by workers and traders and travelers all of all kinds, making the fort a major hub of Wildgard. He looked down on his people and the town before him; they ran around its cobbled streets with the frantic pace of ants. Gavin leaned against the flag that held Fort MacNeil's banner and smiled as he fondly remembered the new allies and friends he had made since this fort was built; Ursa, Thea, Idina, Falijere, General Maximus, and many others. He was pleased Wildgard had taken so well to him, considering he came here a disgraced lord, a fugitive from his own brother. He had spent plenty of time with Ieda, the monk who ran the monastery, as her right hand man and protector from all things shadowy. After a short time the two had become embroiled in politics and Gavin knew it would be wise if he faded into the background; an act of foresight that would later allow him to form the Assassin's guild under the guise of a Merchants Guild. With his position of power within this group he was able to make some coin, and protect his allies from plots against their lives, and possibly identify their would-be murderers. But after a while he knew he couldn't keep living like that; it was only a matter of time before someone discovered what this group really was and then had him killed. After cutting most of his ties to the guild, Gavin decided that due to the turmoil in Wildgard he would have to do something to protect the populace. While Ieda tried to appease politicians and protect the people that way, Gavin chose to take matters into his own hands, and shortly after the collapse of the second council, (The one diplomatic center of power in Wildgard) Gavin founded this fort, believing that the only power that would be listened to now was the one with an army behind it. With the support of his men, he regained his lordship and became a strong player in the military aspects of Wildgard. His men had been poorly trained back then, and were mediocre fighters at best. After the arrival of Maximus Antilles everything changed; the men fought better, stronger, longer and harder. Most importantly, they had been trained by Maximus to fight together. Maximus had earned Gavin's respect quickly through tactics and military prowess, and soon after that, he became Gavin's close friend as well as his right hand man and trusted confidante, as Gavin had been to Ieda. Gavin closed his eyes and soaked in the feeling of the wind currents around him, and his inner hawk soared at the pleasure. So much had changed in so little time...

The druid Thea poked her head out of a window of the tower. The wind whipped her golden hair around her face as she looked up at the tower roof. It was so high above the world! Bellow the people looked so small, like ants... The experience was both thrilling and terrifying for the young druid. As she looked up, the sky she saw was bright, and clouds rolled past in the wind. A few birds flew past, almost brushing her head, their wings spread to make the most of such a beautiful day.
Thea, knew he was here. The mental link the catalyst had given them told her as much. She ducked back into the tower and went to the stairs located in off to the side of the circular room. Thea climbed the stairs thoughtfully, placing each foot with care so that she didn't make any noise. At the top she climbed up the latter of the already open trap door and stepped onto the roof.
The druid stood up and took a look at the world. It was the first time she had ever been on the roof of the tower, the first time she had been up so high. She was in awe, it was exhilarating. More birds flew past her causing her head to turn sharply. That is when she lost her footing, starting to fall backwards.

Gavin turned his head just in time to see Thea flailing wildly on the other side of the tower, trying to keep her balance, and instinctively knew what was happening. He dashed towards her and grabbed her cloak, spreading his feet and shifting his weight he threw her by her cloak to safety in the center of the tower. He took a quick moment to relax again and quipped; "And that's why I never wear a cloak up here; the winds can throw you off balance and bring about an abrupt end to your day." He smirked, "You didn't fight so long and hard only to die because of a little air, did you?" Walking over to her with a chuckle, he offered his hand to help her up from where she lay on the ground.

At the Gate of the Fort, there was some sort of Commotion, from the Tower could be seen a hooded figure, (presumably human) on Horseback carrying a Pennon Flag. The Gender nondescript rider was stopped there by Fortsmen, where they dismounted and bowed low to the Gate Guard. Gesturing up to the flag they carried. It was a Parti-colored Pennon with a triangle split in half divided by the colors Green and Grey. Lined in Black.

Thea fell hard onto the roof, ripping right through her pants and skinning her knees. Though it was a lot better then falling to her death. She lay there for a second before she took Gavin’s hand and stood up. “Thank you,” Thea smiled, “I did not know my cloak could be such a hazard up here.” She then removed her brown cloak tossing it down the trap door, it landed softly with almost no noise. The wind now blew with a less threatening disposition then it had before
Thea looked around at the scenery again, “I see why you come up here so often.” She laughed, still in shock from her almost death. Looking down she then saw the commotion at the gate, and the hooded rider. “Were you expecting anyone today Gavin?” The young druid looked at him questioningly.

Gavin glanced a Thea and then back at the flag, "No, I can't say I was, but still people find their way in." He smiled, then furrowed his brow adding "I'm not sure I recognize that rider, but the flag seems familiar." Gavin walked to the edge of the tower, one hand resting on the pole of his own flag. "I suppose I best get down there and meet my new guest. Feel free to join me, but I advise getting there using the stairs in your case. This is a little trick I learned when I had to escape my brother yet was trapped in the tallest tower of Sween. Considering your aptitude for almost falling off, I'd advise at least waiting till I have time to teach you how to fall properly before following me." He chuckled and winked at Thea and with that he leapt off the edge of the tower, arms spread at 45 degrees and legs straight behind him, falling head-first a brief time before spinning and landing on his back in a large pile of hay in a wagon below and sinking in until he was completely obscured from view. He emerged laughing and unharmed with a broad grin upon his face and promptly brushed himself off of any hay he might have on him. With a wave to Thea, who looked very small still standing at the top of the tower looking down, Gavin set off at a brisk pace for the gates, still laughing slightly.

The Mysterious rider Awaited the man they called 'Gavin', tending to his horse at the Gate, the stubborn Fortsmen wouldn't let him get any closer. His pennon flag stuck into the ground in the soil off the beaten path. A few moments later he heard a conversation brewing on the other end of the Gate. Watching intently. Impatient.

Thea watched in shock as Gavin flung himself off the tower. For a horrible moment he hung in the air, and in that moment Thea saw everything. She saw how the wild wind flew through his hair, and how his clothes seemed to fly. For that moment, the young druid almost thought the kintu would soar above the clouds. She almost expected for the assassin to sprout the wings of his relative the hawk and fly away, but when the moment ended, he just fell. Simply fell, but it was controlled. So when Thea looked over the edge of the tower roof to the world bellow, she was not surprised to see him waving up at her. Smiling up from a large cart full of hay. Sometimes that man! She thought with a shake of her head, though she was more than relived that he was alright. At least enough to wave at her, the mental link told her that he wasn’t seriously hurt at least.
The young woman then moved quickly, but carefully as not to loose her balance again. There would be no one to catch her this time. She lowered herself to the latter and climbed down. Upon collecting her cloak she started down the beautiful tower. Ignoring the paintings on the walls, some of which still lay unfinished. The mithril shone giving Thea a sense of ultimate security, the tower was stable and strong. Thea approached the door, pushing it open. ‘Were are you?’ She sent this to Gavin over their mental link. ‘That was quite a stunt you pulled.’

(Sorry about the delay) Gavin simply sent back meet me at the gate, and continued forward. Winding his way through the market, he came to the gate where the guardsmen seemed to be holding the rider. "Greetings" He said, "I am Lord Gavin MacNeil, and this is my home." He took a moment to bow with a warm smile. "Welcome friend, what can I or my people do for you?" He inquired as he adjusted the clasp on his cloak.

Finally the Gate Opened and a Slick looking man came forth. "Greetings Lord MacNiel." Said the Rider. "I am Urzeus (Pronounced Urr-ZOOss) Dauntless, Messenger and Head Scout of Ursus Dauntamontis. Here on orders to seek your Lordship by Queen Ursarius Burdenkeeper." He bowed his head and gestured to the Flag. "I am sent with highly confidential tidings of My Queens Army movement." He stopped there and glanced slowly to the Surrounding Guards. He reached to an inner coat pocket over his heart and pulled out a wax-stamped scroll. "I Am told to ask you one Question before I provide you with this Information."

Gavin listened intently to the rider's introduction, knowing that it was serious business, yet also painfully aware how little getting worried or bothered by it would help him or his thought process. When the rider had finished Gavin was a little surprised at the mention of a question, but hid it well. "Then by all means, ask away!" Gavin replied with a smile. He signaled to the guards to bring out a fresh horse for the rider just in case his visit would be very quick, then waited.

Urzeus Nodded "Do You still call Ursarius Ally?" His eyes gleamed of a inhuman aura, perhaps kintu, watching Gavin as he spoke as though this was the most important question, and most crucial answer the Fort Leader could give.

"Naturally!" Gavin was surprised at the simplicity of the question, yet also pleased. "Why would you question my dedication? I am, as always, a man of my word." Gavin inwardly asked himself if they questioned his integrity.

The Mysterious rider nodded. "It is as My Queen thought. Of Course you will forgive her, Her Majesty had to make sure." He handed over the scroll with dignity and the corner of his mouth drew into a strangely inhuman grin. "Now to the thick of it." He said, clearing his throat. "My Lady and her Elite Guard are hold up in the Forest Pan'Ti. I don't know whether or not you are familiar with her Home Cabin there. It is currently unsafe in the Pan'ti region, if you are Unaware of the Demon Activity and instability of Trust in these lands. Which I am sure you are infact aware. If need be Ursarius has asked for Refuge in the Fort for Herself, her Elites and her Family. In Turn her Paw and her Army extends to you if your Lordship require any assistance in defending the Fort Whilst we are here."

"It would be a pleasure to have my old friend and ally stay some time! I will begin the preparations immediately, how many men are we looking at?" Gavin was pleased to have the ability to aid Ursarius again, mostly due to the fact that he had never quite found a way to repay her for the support she lent them during the fort's early days. Gavin stopped a moment. "How long would they be staying? I much desire to speak with Ursarius, for it has been some time since I last saw her and we have much to discuss."
